>> another beautiful day across much of the delaware and lehigh valleys, the string of 70's continues, started on wednesday with a high of 72. thursday and friday, we had temps in the lower 70's, maxed out yesterday, 79, so far in philadelphia, we're coming in at 65. ten degrees above or typical daytime high. still comfortable outside. 74 in philadelphia, 67 in the poconos, 75 for allentown and reading. up to western lancaster, coast in cape may, 68, beach haven ven 69. 7:00 p.m. a partly cloudy sky, temperature of 68. we'll be in middle 60's at 8:00. mostly clear, dry and quiet at 9:00, 10:00 and 11:00. temperatures falling down into the lower 60's. changes however are headed our way, here's storm tracker 6 live double scan radar. we're tracking rain not tomorrow but tuesday, this cold front stretched out across a portions

of the plain states, this will be working its way eastward and provide us with a good soaking as we get into tuesday. and especial tuesday afternoon. future tracker 6 timing it out now, monday afternoon it's mostly cloudy day, temperatures still above average tomorrow. couple showers are likely as we go through monday afternoon but the bulk of that precip moves in tuesday morning, lasting into tuesday evening, we'll take closer look as to how much rain we're expecting and the cooler air, details coming up with the full and exclusive accu-weather forecast second day, protesters gathered outside the police chiefs convention in center city. john rollins joins us more on what they're trying to get across. >>. >> reporter: today's protest but not a rally but a teach, in, the message police are part of a racist oppressive system's must be abolished. participants are told not to talk to local tv crews.

the proper way to handle street protest >> it had to do with large course of study, major incidents throughout the nation, particularly as it pertains to the first amendment. >> reporter: the protesters not said if they will return. but it would seem likely as attorney general jeff sessions will return to philadelphia. john rollins, channel 6 action news. a philadelphia police officer who had been working at the protester was early this morning, as he turn on to the roosevelt boulevard in the city's mayfair section, the officer suffered a broken leg. . from our delaware newsroom new, two pedestrians were struck and called last 98 in dewey beach. investigators say the driver who hit them suffered a medical emergency and lost control of his vehicle. this collision happened around 5:00 p.m. on coastal highway near sals ber street. he blacked out and the vehicle

careened into two men standing alongside the road with bicycles. the men ages 53 and 58, were both from the washington, dc area. the driver of that vehicle was taken to a local hospital for treatment. we have an update on the shooting that ended with aed to teller from tioga nicetown critically injured after shot in the head. police charged the boy's father with dangering the welfare of a child. the gun belonged to the children's uncle who lives at the home. boys are were being watched by the 2012-year-old brother when one found a gun on the 3600 block of north 18th. athlete-year-old is listed in very critical condition at temple university hospital. a somber ceremony marked the 34th anniversary of one of the deadly easiest terror attacks in marine corp history, two marine corp were killed. veterans and mourns gathered in memory of the fallen.

nine of the marines killed were from philadelphia. a plaque reads if you forget my death, then i died in vein. >> surgeons from children's hospital successfully separated twin girls conjoined at birth, erin and abby had surgery in june and recently celebrated their first birthday, the girls are 15 months old and born johned at the top of theory heads, they were successfully separated by a 30 member team in a risk 12-hour surgery. the parents say it's a miracle to see their daughters hitting milestones like rolling over and crawling. >> they're such happy content little girls for what they've gone through, they've never lived outside hospital walls. and they're still happy, they're not afraid of people. it's just amazing to see that they're so brave through all of this. >> the twins will need additional plastic and reconstructive surgery, but

family oriented. >> he had autism, police say he got on the wrong bus on his way home if work walking to another bus stop when he was shot. >> it was not even 20 minutes when i spoke to him. that he told me, yes, i'll be home. >>reporter: that's not far from where 22-year-old benjamin mitchell was killed october 9th and a half mile from there monica hoffa was found dead. >> monica did nothing that should have put herself in this situation. she was completely innocent and was targeted by this animal. >> reporter: the only lead is this grainy video a person wearing a hoodie, police not even calling him a suspect but someone they'd like to speak with >> if you're walking alone, you're a suspect or a potential victim. and that's what they need to remember in this neighborhood. >> reporter: a motive not been determined. the three victims had no connection.

but police believe the killings are linked because of the products system tea to each other. >> a police officer from ohio was shot and killed while responding to a domestic disturbance. 31-year-old officer justin leo was shot after 10:00 last night. he and another officer were standing at the at the front door of a home when the suspect open fire. the suspect was killed by the second officer, officer leo died a short time later at the hospital. the hotel room in las vegas used in the october 1st mass shooting will stay empty. officials from mgm resort say there's no plans to rent out the 32nd floor of that mandalay bay suite. steven paddock opened fire from that room on an outdoor music festival. 58 people killed, more than 500 wounded. it's being speculated that the suite may end up as a memorial to honor the victims. sentencing for bow berg call starts tomorrow. in 2009 he left his post in afghanistan and was captured by the taliban, the case is

. a video of one of at least three tornados that formed last night in oklahoma. storms damage add bunch of homes and buildings including a casino where the beach boys were performing, oklahoma's governor was at the concert and said the venue was evacuated. part of the river wind hotel and casino roof was ripped off. but in serious injuries have been reported.

for a check of our accu-weather forecast. after a glorious weekendly rain ahead. >> that's right as we get into tuesday, we're tracking moisture that's pressing into the delaware and lehigh valleys but temperatures today, nice and warm well above average, the way we like it. we'll take you outside as we walk over to the weather center, sky 6 live in hd looking at the ben franklin bridge on this sunday afternoon, we got sunshine few high clouds pressing into the region, but we're staying dry and quiet. we're checking out the rain chances as we go throughout the next five days, and today we're going to be dry but as we get into a monday just a 20% chance of finding precipitation, by tuesday, a 90% chance of finding some rain. it is all back of a cold front that will be working its way into the delaware and lehigh valleys. the same one responsible for those tornados in oklahoma, it's moving in our direction, and a much, much, weaker fashion. right now in philadelphia, we're coming in at 74, to 75 in allentown, same thing reading, out to the west in lancaster, 71 degrees, up in the poconos today, 67.

also in cape may in the upper 60's down in dover, we've got a temperature holding at 70. here's satellite 6 along with action radar, high pressure has been dominating much of the weekend. that's why we had temperatures yesterday in the 70's and today also into the 70's. this ridge of high pressure moves off to the east, making way for this cold front, you can see the rain stretched out from the great lakes down through portions of the plain states, that heads in our direction as we get into tuesday. for rest of tonight be it's partly cloudy, it's calm, and mild, we'll drop down to 60 in philadelphia for the overnight low, 54 in reading, 56 in trenton, 58 in dover. fast forward into the start of the work week tomorrow, still going to be a warm day, but rather cloudy, especially by the afternoon. 8:00 in the morning, we got a temperature of 62. by lunch time tomorrow, numbers in the lower 70, we're staying dry but i can't rule out a stray shower popping up by all indications the weather forecast looks to be mostly dry tomorrow. then fast forward into the

had four, five, six incidents. >> reporter: councilman kenyatta johnson is driving force, more reliable trail lighting, stepped you police patrols and crews digging this trench, start of a system of 21 surveillance cameras between race and locust streets. at least for now, the cameras will not be monitored live but will be recorded for later use >> we want the philadelphia police department to see if we can get a live feed with at the crime center on oregon. and a lot of people say well, if you're not doing a live feed of the information on the cameras, how else can it be effective? the police officers can also use the footage in reviewing who's actually hanging out on the trail on a day-to-day basis. and if they're up to no good. >> reporter: it's thought that the new cameras will be up and running and recording in about two weeks. the price tag for the 21 cameras $150,000, about half of which came from councilman's johnson's

hundreds of dogs took their morning walk as a group, they didn't know it but they were raising money for charity. it was the 18th annual paws for the cause dog walking the owners took the dogs on a stroll around fox chase on cottman avenue. efforts raised money for research and prevention programs. man's best friend also took part in the 5k walk to save lives. this is called the bark for life. dogs and their owners raised money for the american cancer society here at east goshen township park. some of the participants were cancer survivors themselves. there were plenty of offerings for both k9 and their -- the k9s and their companions including food and costume contest. much more on action news. jeff has preview of tomorrow's game between the eagles and washington >> are you afraid of clowns? psychologists explain why they might creep you out. this is a great weekend to get outdoors and get the work done, what's the deal with pretty sure washers?
