agents raided two advanced urgent care clinics, one in willow grove, the other in northeast philadelphia. this company had been raided once before in 2015 for allegedly selling illegal prescriptions. "action news" reporter bob brooks is live outsider advanced urgent care clinic in willow grove. bob what have we be able to find out day. >> reporter: appears the doctor has landed himself in federal custody. it was the advanced urgent care offices that were moved on. we spoke with a lot of neighbors who say this was long overdue. it was a raid by the fbi and dea. federal agents swarming two advanced urgent care centers removing boxes of evidence and blocking our views from the activity inside. we spoke with patients outside the office on roosevelt boulevard in bustleton. they're shocked. >> i'm not going to go back ever. >> i don't know what's going on right now. we're not getting any answers

now but they did take a lot of money from us. >> reporter: but say it all makes sense why they heard this. >> dr. nick who is the owner, he's as far as i know he was arrested by the u.s. marshals. >> reporter: a records search indicates that both the locations in bustleton and willow grove are owned by dr. mehdi nikparvar or as patients call him dr. nick and he is in fact in federal custody. arrested back in august on the 29th by the u.s. marshals on a civil contempt charge. but agents say when he was being transferred from his practice to u.s. marshals field office he made threats against the deputies and now he's facing more charges for that. now agents wouldn't tell us exactly why they were making the raids here today in willow grove but neighbors we spoke with describe what they say was some very unusual activity happening here. >> i just seen lines of people in the morning waiting for the office to open. >> reporter: that's a woman who only gave us her first name of mary. she says it's because of those long lines she's not surprised it was raided today. >> my concern was they were

selling drugs out of the facility because typically you won't see a doctor's officers have lines of people before they open. >> reporter: she has well as many neighbors say it was getting out of control. >> box of wrappers we found in our backyard which is a couple blocks down. >> reporter: another live look at the office here. again, so many neighbors we spoke with said it was right outside of that front door, a huge line would form of people trying to get in. they're so happy now something has finally been done. for now reporting live in willow grove, bob brooks, channel6 "action news." jim. >> thank you, bob. the man accused of shooting six people in a two-state crime spree will be tried first in delaware. authorities say radee prince shot five co-workers killing three in maryland last week. prince has been accused of driving to wilmington and shooting an acquaintances in the head. prosecutors in both states agree to try prince in delaware first because the state does not provide for parole. parole is available under

maryland law. phil ahr who is facing child pornography charges has resigned as president of the radnor township board of commissioners. but he will not be giving up his seat on the board. ahr sent a letter of resignation to the township manager effective immediately. he states he will that continue to serve as commissioner of the seventh ward. but that personal reasons require him to vacate his position as president. by law ahr can the no be kicked off the board unless he's convicted. the philadelphia police department is getting 150 new vehicles for its fleet and all will be equipped with what are called ballistic shields. and in philadelphia's case that will include bulletproof glass. let's go live to police headquarters and "action news" reporter john rawlins. john, it sounds beyond dispute that these vehicles will keep police officers safer. >> reporter: well, there's no guarantees obviously but the sense is that the modifications made to these

vehicles will lessen any threats, should someone try to ambush a police officer while that police officer is inside a patrol car. an armed gunman rushes and fires on a police officer in his patrol car. two separate incidents in philadelphia last year remarkably both officer jessie hartnett and sergeant sylvia young survived being hit. today the department unveiled its first patrol vehicles designed with the sort of unprovoked attacks the officers faced. >> amazing that they survived both of those ambushes and we believe that ballistic protection like this would have probably protected them from any of those gunshots that were aimed at them. >> reporter: the new vehicles have two layers of protection placed over the steel door panels a ballistic shield painted to match the car while above what's dubbed as transparent armor backs about three-quarters of the original equipment glass area in the front windows. the belief this modified front door is now resistent to

pistol shots and shotgun blasts. >> it's cutting edge in the sense that it provides protection for police officers seated in the vehicle from gunfire. >> reporter: the protection package for the doors and windows adds about $1,300 to the cost of a patrol car, well worth it, though, says the commissioner given the evolving threats officers face. >> certainly the mayor and myself believe that is one that is far worth it when you consider the state of the world that we're in today and that we've seen multiple ambushes across this nation in the last couple years on uniformed police officers. >> reporter: well, the department has a patrol fleet of about 750 vehicles, plus 70 wagons. the first wave of these modified vehicles, 150 of the patrol vehicles and 10 wagons, so roughly 10 percent of the patrol fleet will have the modifications at this point in time. live at police headquarters, john rawlins channel6 "action news." jim. >> thank you, john. attorney general jeff sessions was in philadelphia today to seventy two he speak to

police leaders from across the country. sessions said that combating the notorious violent gang ms-13 is a federal priority. he urged local law enforcement to step up efforts against the gang. sessions remarks came at the international association of chiefs of police annual conference at the pal convention center in philadelphia. ivanka trump spent the afternoon in bucks county trying to drum up support for her father's tax reform plan. she was joined by u.s. treasurer carranza at a town hall in richboro. the gop proposal was past laughed week. some economisting project the plan would add $7 trillion in debt over the next decade. okay, always a hugely exciting event monday night football in philadelphia. and with the eagles at five and one it is going to be an outrageous atmosphere at the linc tonight and that's where

>> with the eagles game coming up in two and a half hours carson wentz would be in the spotlight anyway but wentz is getting national attention for another reason. the story of wentz and an eight-year-old cancer victim from wilmington, delaware. let's go live to lincoln financial field and "action news" reporter sarah bloomquist. good evening, sarah. >> reporter: good evening, jim. here's what happened. our sister network espn aired a touching story about eagles quarterback carson wentz and a little wilmington boy named lucas kuster who was diagnosed with cancer at the age of eight. lucas gave wentz a special wrist band and now eagles fans it seems all around the world

are clamoring to get one of their own. rebecca can't believe all the outpouring of support after the airing of the story about her son and carson wentz. >> it's overwhelming. >> reporter: in april 2016, the then eight-year-old was diagnosed with a rare cancer. this rough and tumble kid was nicknamed the dutch destroyer and he was determined to fight. >> he was a force to be reckoned with and that was early on that nickname was given to him and it stuck. >> reporter: a year later, lucas' cancer was thought to be in remission but then a new tumor was detected. doctors said he would not survive this round of the fight. the eagles learned of lucas' battle and wentz passed along a video of encouragement. lucas wanted to thank his hero and visited the novacare center last may. >> lucas wanted to give him one of his dutch destroyer

bracelets. he took it out and he handed it to carson and that was sort of his way of saying thank you. >> reporter: lucas passed away a few days later. wentz hasn't taken the wrist band off since even sporting it on game day. now it seems every eagles fan wants one, too. thousands sold in a single day. >> we've received an overwhelming amount of support and it's no surprise coming from eagles fans. >> so much deeper than football. it's so much more than just a game. >> reporter: now, after the espn story aired, there was so much interest the family scrambled last night to put together a web site to sell the wristband. as of 4 o'clock this afternoon, they've sold about $24,000 worth of the wristband. they're putting all that money to charity especially for pediatric cancer. they're doing it all on their own so they are asking for patience. espn has invited the family

season. >> well, when you put it that way its a biggy ducis and if you think about the fact that the eagles have a chance to bury the redskins, that makes this one even more important. >> take care of business within your own division. let's talk about the eagles star quarterback. that would be carson wentz. wentz took the field a few moments ago for his pregame warmup. he has been playing at an m.v.p. type level the past few weeks. now, of course these two teams met in week one. the eagles won that game easily 30 to 17. the redskins have won three out of four games since then. they are playing better. the eagles do not expect this game tonight to be that easy. >> it's going to be a dog fight on monday. it's a great team that's coming down here. you know, and i think it's going to be a battle the whole game. >> that's probably the one team that is the most fun to play against in my opinion just because it's so many battles even though we've lost some of them, i think they're all very close games and the fans are so close to one another that they hate us and

>> some wet weather moving in. >> much needed rain on the way. clouds already in place. action cam taking a look in fairmount park where we had bright sunshine for most of the weekend but the clouds continue to thicken as we are heading through the day and we're live on sky6 taking a look over the ben franklin bridge. you can see first of all it's gray, lots of cloud cover and also sky6 shaking a little bit. the winds generally picking up generally right now 10 to 15 miles per hour out of the southeast ahead of a cold front. that will be bringing us some much needed rain and maybe even some thunderstorms tomorrow. so, the accuweather highlights will show you fortunately we

are dry for the eagles game. lots of clouds, maybe a sprinkle but that steady rain moves in during the day on tuesday, periods of rain through the day and then behind this system, since it's a cold front much cooler air will be arriving by midweek. right now though it's very mild. temperatures in the 70's. 72 degrees in philadelphia. down from our high of 77. the same in trenton, allentown and reading. cape may currenting 69 degrees. satellite and radar showing the system i'm tracking, there's low pressure that's moving through the ohio valley. you can almost see that comma shape right there and what this will do is move up to our north and eventually to our east and drag the cold front through. that front has been causing some severe weather across the carolinas. some tornado watches even extending into virginia. that is the system that brings us the rain tomorrow so tonight it's cloudy its breezy, it's very mild, 64 degrees in the suburbs, 66 for center city. now, our normal high for this

time of the year is 64. that rain will be arriving by day break tomorrow. so, future tracker timing it out 8:30 for the eagles game, lots of clouds, no steady rain, maybe a sprinkle or two. by 11:30, more clouds. tomorrow morning by 6 o'clock, this is when the rain begins to break out. at that point most of it west of philadelphia, through the day periods of rain, 11 o'clock moving into trenton, into south jersey and then later in the evening, this is when we could get some gusty thunderstorms arriving along the shore areas west of philadelphia, the rain is generally just a morning event. so, the severe storm prediction center has put most of our viewing area, except for the far western suburbs under a risk of scattered severe weather. what this means, any thunderstorm could contain some damaging winds and even some small hail. again, the best chance of that would be across south jersey. so, the exclusive accuweather 7-day forecast, it's windy with periods of rain at times, perhaps a thunderstorm, 74 degrees tomorrow.
