plead guilty to corruption on one count and 28 other charges are dropped. >> mr. williams is a criminal. he did not make a mistaken and engages in these crimes for many many years, anybody he was in a position to exploit. >> the judge denied the question to be let out on house arrest to visit with his ailing mother before he is sent away fearing she will pass away when he is incarcerated. you stole from your mother now you want a visitor? a reference to evidence presented at trial that williams defrauded his mother's nursing home out of $23,000. his mother read an apologetic letter to the people of philadelphia for letting him down. >> i made the question for him and for his mother and daughters, unfortunately the court denied the request. and his mother and girlfriend were in court and left court

kenneth muskler and jones arranged a payment to a rival's campaign and that candidate dropped out of the case. accused of conspiracy and lying to the fbi. brady denied any wrongdoing and the long time congressman has not been charged. and they forced a darby borough school to shut the doors for the day a man in his 60s was kill add long the 100 block of summit street sometime overnight. in the area of pen wood middle school because the school remained closed and the victim and gunman knew each other other pen wood middle will resume classes tomorrow as scheduled. a father and son escaped a house fire this morning. an "action news" viewer captured this video near the intersection of adams and lyndon avenues and officials say that high winds

fanned the flames making it more difficult and the father and his 5-year-old son escaped using a second year porch and taken to the hospital for treatments the house is a total loss. police in west pike land township, are trying to track down the hit and run driver that struck a mother and daughter last friday. live at police headquarters is "action news" reporter, bob brooks. what is the latest here? >> reporter: well tonight the police need help trying to track down the driver responsible for this as they again almost killed a mother and her 16-year-old daughter. it was along the scenic art road, the mother and 16-year-old daughter and pet dog were out this friday evening for a walk-in stead of returning home one of them would be air-lifted to the hospital and the other injured with broken bones. >> friday afternoon my officers

medical coding and once with the company there are other opportunities. they will also have access to continue their education through tuition benefits to go on for associates and masters degrees and this is important as they continue to grow into adulthood and for the future. >> the cooper health initiative program is open to young adults with a high school diploma and ged. seniors at county technical schools are also eligible. and a program is creating 150 jobs for at risk adults in newcastle county. western neighborhood house and newcastle county have received a grant from the workforce fund. this will provide career exploration for 16 to 24-year-olds and some jobs are for the summer and others go throughout the year. it was last february when almost 300 head stones were

to mix up the atmosphere and that pulls the the low level jet winds 50 miles per hour down to the surface and dover reporting a wind gust of 60 miles per hour and philadelphia 47 as the front blew through and caused wind damage and look at the peak wind gusts. dover 60 miles per hour and wrightstown 52 and philadelphia and lancaster 47 and mount holly 40 miles per hour and as the front blew through it brought heavy rain. double scan live radar showing most of our region is rain free and another wave of rain developing along the front and atlantic city and absecon and oceanville. and this extends to the north, barnegat light and forked river. it's drying out through the evening hours. right now it's still feels like summer, philadelphia 72 and the

same in allentown and wilmington 71 and cape may 69. our high today is 75 that is 11 degrees above normal but things will be changing. satellite 6 along with action radar showing that the front pushing offshore we have the winds shifting out of the northwest tonight and pulling down cooler drier air and if you look across the midwest you can see this is known as a trough. a pocket of cooler air that rolls through tomorrow and ta brings us more clouds as we head into the afternoon maybe a sprinkle. less humid and 54 in philadelphia and allentown 49 and wilmington and trenton 51 and tomorrow cooler than today. slightly above normal. 67 degrees and morning sun giving way to afternoon clouds and a cooler feel but this cool air shot arrives on thursday and the high only 60 and feeling cooler with the winds and also we'll see a lot more clouds and sun and perhaps a sprinkle. the exclusive accuweather seven-day forecast cooling down 67 degrees tomorrow and thursday
