thousands of secret files were released and what the documents reveal about the kennedy assassination. and police are investigating what cause aid collision involving a local school bus. but the big story on "action news" is the hail of gun fire in south philadelphia. and police confirm it was connected to the deadly shooting of two teenagers earlier this week. at least three bullets for fired into a home on south juniper street less than a mile from the scene where two students were killed on tuesday. >> reporter: rick, now that police confirm that the two incidents are related. this is relate to the double homicide of the two boys, neighbors are on edge and it looks different. look behind me you can see a patrol car here indefinitely and the police commissioner is

candid saying he has real concerns this could spiral out of control. >> we were asleep in bed my husband and i and heard pop pop pop. 14 in a row. >> just past 2:00 residents along south juniper street were jolted out of bed by a hail of gun fire. janet lives next to the home that was targeted. >> i knew right way it was gun fire it was that loud. >> it sounded like gunshots and no noise after it and car sounds, and running. >> police descended on the neighborhood and surrounded this home. the window was littered with bullet holes and a feet away a dozen evidence markers were placed on the street next to bullet casings and suspicions later grew and confirmed this was connected to the murders of the two 16-year-olds and the

home was targeted. >> it's the home of the person of interest. we are very concerned about that. we spoke to the fire of the person of interest. and he was asleep in bed with his wife when the gunshots broke out and this morning he boarded up the home's front window to cover up the bullet holes and did not want to talk on camera, because he did not want to be killed. neighbors meanwhile are concerned. >> i'm worried and concerned. >> there are children up the street and people young and babies and toddlers, and they have to be exposed to this? it's ridiculous. >> i hope they don't come back and target it again. >> and coming back out live to us, the person of interest lives in this home as do his parents, and police have not publically identified this person and we have not either. but police are investigating the two incidents and they are

documents. and one thing is clear. the levels in which they tried to pursue every lead. honestly in edition to the new documents there are just as many questions about the documents that remained classified. for more than 50 years, historians and conspiracy theorys and the public have questioned on what happened in 1963. >> president kennedy is shot in dallas texas. and then two days later lee harvey oswald was killed in police custody -- >> he has been shot. the troves of classified documents are fueling speculation about the the assassination. and today 3,000 of those documents are seeing the light. one memo from 1964 says that investigators was looking into the claims that oswald was an fbi informant and determined he
