an under state. it's been all day. if you stand outside of this place you see people come and go in and out of there. it's very busy to say the least and once again it is attracting the attention of law enforcement. it was raided again, today upper moreland township police confirm they executed a search warrant. this comes less than two weeks ago that's when fbi and dea did a raid here. neighbors we spoke to say it's only one way to explain it. >> it's a pill mill. >> does a bear go in the woods? of course, we know exactly what's going on. >> reporter: pill mill meaning the overprescribing of certain drugs. when we spoke with federal investigator its by phone they wouldn't confirm what the search warrant was about nor the last one late last month but say they're aware of certain activity happening here. their investigation is ongoing and they know about the suspicious long lines that form outside of the clinic every morning. today our crews filmed as another line formed with

people peering. >> it's ridiculous. >> reporter: despite the federal raid on the 23rd the search warrant executed here today we spoke with a patient who vows there's nothing ill leap happening here. he says there's plenty of screenings done before you can get a prescription here. >> they verify with the hospital. they don't give you a lot of tablets, only give you so many tablets. nobody can just walk in here and get a prescription. >> reporter: we asked him about the doctor, the owner. back in august he was arrested by u.s. marshals on a civil contempt charge but threatened the deputies on his way to jail and got hit with more charges after that. but he wants to vouch for the doctor as well as the practice. why do you think the dea, the fbi the local police upper moreland township. why do you think they're doing all this. >> because some people abuse it and they're coming down hard on doctors period in the pain management area.

slamming in overnight tonight. in fact there's a cold front pushing through but it is very weak in the form of any sort of rain. it's really a boundary that is going to separate two different air masses and again, that cooler air mass arrives tonight into the day tomorrow. in fact, as we wake up here saturday morning, 30's for those northwestern suburbs. basically 37 from the poconos to lancaster. 45 philadelphia. 46 in millville. near 50 tomorrow morning at the shore and that full accuweather forecast it's only going to be in the 50's for highs tomorrow. and a round of rain comes in saturday night but as the rain departs on sunday we'll be stuck under the clouds for the second half of the weekend. i'll let you know if it does warm up despite the clouds stick around on sunday coming up brian in that full accuweather forecast. >> adam see you in a bit. thank you. alcohol is believed to be involved in a crash between a car and a school bus in new castle. the action cam was on the scene as police investigated about 6:30 this morning.

officers say a 19-year-old woman behind the wheel of a mazda crashed into the back of a bus that was stopped waiting to pick up students. now, the crash happened at the intersection of boxwood road and ash her's boulevard. it took rescuers about 30 minutes to pull the teenaged driver from that mazda. she and the bus driver are both hospitalized now for nonlife-threatening injuries and there were no students on the bus when the crash happened. >> there is new video of a violent robbery at a south philadelphia business. the images from the oregon discount market show the suspects walk inside pointing a large knife at the employee. he threatened the worker and demanded cash. investigators say he spent time outside casing the store before committing this crime on the afternoon of october 10th. if you recognize the suspect or know anything, you're asked to call police. >> an emotional army sergeant bowe bergdahl learned today he will not face any time in jail. the decision from a military judge comes after bergdahl had

already pled guilty to walking off his base in afghanistan back in 2009 sparking a massive military search for him. bergdahl ended up getting captured and tortured by the taliban spending five years in captivity. the 31-year-old faced up to life in prison but instead he has been released on a dishonorable discharge. given a reduction in rank and he must for fit $1,000 of pay for 10 months. during the election campaign, president donald trump called bergdahl "a no good traitor who should have been executed." bergdahl's legal team says they look forward to president trump's statements calling them. >> extraordinary and reprehensible comment targeted directly at our client. it's one of the most preposterous states of affairs that i can think of in american legal history. >> today president trump tweeted the decision on sergeant bergdahl is a

attempts, that's for sure, some powerful lobby groups already gunning for it but i think it's safe to say even at this early stage many of us are asking ourselves what is this going to mean to me and my taxes. >> am i in favor of this or. i not because how does it affect me. >> reporter: cpa jennifer romberger voicing what many of us are thinking, the gop house plan what will it do? for individuals there will be four income brackets a couple making up to $90,000 would pay just 12 percent, up to 260,025 percent up to a million 35 percent and over a million it would remain at 39.5 percent. in an effort to simplify the standard deduction would double for married couples it would be 24,000. but it also kills a number of tax breaks deductions for student loan interest and medical expenses. it limits mortgage interest deductions for new mortgages to the first 500,000 instead of the current 1 million. it eliminates state and local income tax deductions and caps

property tax deductions to $10,000. so, how will this plan impact middle and working class folks in general? romberger says no one can say precisely. >> because it depends on their individual situation. so many of these provisions some people are subject to them and some people aren't. >> reporter: the gop claim is that an average family making just under $60,000 would save about $1,100. romberger says that sounds reasonable but stresses everyone will be different. yesterday she ran her own numbers through a tax calculator and found. >> i'm single, no dependents, i do itemize my deductions. i did run a quick scenario yesterday and honestly it was around a thousand dollars of a benefit for me. >> reporter: so, in one case a thousand dollars to the positive but as she stressed everybody is different and the bill is likely to be modified as it goes forward. the best way to figure the impact or the estimated impact it might have on your taxes is

today but we like our forecasts a little more nuanced with expertise. >> an actual human. >> we've got adam joseph. >> as we head into the weekend there are some changes. you can see them out there now and that's in the form of clouds. as we take a look at the weather center here live on sky6 again, we do have a little bit of filtered sun at times breaking through that cloud cover as we look towards penn's landing. not a lot of wave action or ripples along the delaware as we don't have a strong wind right now but that could kick up as the front pulls through here early this evening and then as we dive into the weekend, saturday just 59 degrees tomorrow for a high. well south of the mid 70's we have been the last couple of days. there will be some sun in the morning and then clouds start to increase in the afternoon, some rainfalls saturday night into early on sunday and sunday itself, yes, it is a damp start to the second half of the weekend but in the afternoon it should stay mostly cloudy for most locations and those temps go up just a little bit and also

another reminder for the weekend, turn those clocks back one hour before you go to bed on saturday night and most of us will be gaining an extra hour of sleep unless you have little kids, they'll be up an hour earlier on sunday morning. as we take a look at the numbers 71 allentown reading, 72 wilmington, 77 in millville. mid to low 70's for the shore as well and there's the cooler air. you can start to see it marching in to the poconos, only 57 degrees right now. we had fog early this morning in spots. then a good amount of sunshine and now you can see those clouds really draping over the region but with the front, very little in the way of any shower action so if you're heading to one of the high school football games, don't need the rain gear but you may want to bring a sweatshirt because those winds should start to kick up between about 10 to 20 miles an hour as that front passes through and those temps drop from the mid 60's to the upper 50's by the end of the game and speaking of 50's we're basically stuck there tomorrow afternoon after starting off in the 40's and

>> all right, it's 4:30. we begin with breaking breakings out of radnor. we told you about this crash 30 minutes ago at the start of the newscast. that car had flipped over on newtown road near abrams road. we were told at least three people were injured. they've turned the car over and the latest information we got seconds ago is that police were trying to pull this over for a traffic violation of some kind and that began a police chase that resulted in this. >> what we see here in the video of course the mess that was left in the road when this vehicle flipped over at newtown road near abrams lane in delaware county. again, three people injured in all of this. this all happened about 2 o'clock. they are still now trying to get that vehicle off the road. dann cuellar is on the way to the scene to get an update. as soon as we get more information from him and get dann on the scene we'll update you right here on "action news". >> lower merion police investigating an accident on city avenue that has left a

pedestrian injured. police say just before 2:30 this afternoon a car hit the pedestrian near monument road. the injured person was taken to the hospital but we still don't have that person's condition and police are still on the scene right now investigating. >> we turn now to the latest on a shooting that rocked the port richmond neighborhood. last night we learned two people were found dead in an suv parked on the 3500 block of amber street. it was not a random crime but a murder-suicide. "action news" reporter katherine scott has more. >> reporter: there were some family members here earlier who were too distraught to talk. multiple neighbors say that this man and woman had a tumultuous relationship and are devastated it came to this >> we heard two shots. >> reporter: shots fired inside this suv in port richmond around 10:15 p.m. at first, some neighbors didn't realize what had happened. >> it sounded like firecrackers. >> reporter: soon he went to check out the sources of the sound and found a man and a

woman shot inside the honda cr-v in an apparent murder-suicide. >> i wasn't looking for no gun. i was just worried about they safety that's it. >> reporter: the vehicle was parked on the 3500 block of amber street. police believe a 49-year-old man sitting in the passenger seat shot the 37-year-old woman in the driver's seat before turning the gun on himself. >> both were suffering from gunshot wounds to their heads. medics pronounced them both dead at the scene. >> reporter: neighbors say they had a troubling past. yesterday they were seen arguing in the street. police say this investigation is active and ongoing with the homicide unit. in port richmond, katherine scott, channel6 "action news. >> well, police in bristol township have released new information about a man accused of trying to lure a little girl into his car yesterday. investigators now say this is the vehicle the suspect was driving when he drove up to a 10-year-old girl and told her to get in the car. this happened on glen rose of a near melinda drive as the

child got off of her school bus. police say the man in his 20's had a tattoo on his left biceps and a thick indian accent. that was driving this silver or gray chevy impala with dark rims. fortunately the little girl ran away. if you have any information about this vehicle or the attempted luring call police. in chester, the 1000 block of potter street is now quiet but this morning it was the scene of a scary emergency. police say an eight-year-old was rushed to the hospital after suffering an electrical shock just before 8 o'clock. we're still working to find out the boy's condition. >> police say an upper darby man put a loaded gun into a baby's cradle. ryan scott is facing several charges including reckless endangerment stemming from the incident on pembroke lane in east lansdowne. his ex-girlfriend told police scott came to her house on tuesday and hid the gun which was stolen in the child's bassinet. two officers say they found scott trying to get into the house again later that day and

that's when they arrested him. >> well, police in delaware county are investigating an accident that injured a pedestrian in sharon hill this morning. it happened around 6:30 near chester pike and cherry streets. officials are not saying much about the accident or the victim except the paramedics were called out to the scene but you can see a large hole in the minivan's windshield there from the impact. we'll give an update on this story and have more information as we get it. service on the river line in camden was suspended for about 30 minutes today after a car crashed into a light rail train. this happened near haddon avenue and mlk boulevard around 1:00 this afternoon. though neither the driver or any of the 25 commuters on board were hurt, nj transit says service had to be stopped between 36th and waterfront entertainment complex while police were investigating. >> montgomery county's former district attorney has now filed suit against bill cosby accuser andrea constand.

bruce castor filed the suit in philadelphia today alleging that constand and her lawyers orchestrated a smear campaign against him for his decision not to prosecute cosby back in 2005. cosby is now at the center of a criminal case against cosby. caster says her allegations were aimed at destroying his political and legal career. >> another twist in all of that, yeah. >> uh-huh. >> time for more on our forecast on this friday. >> that means the weekend is coming. >> yeah. >> fast. meteorologist adam joseph standing by with more on what's in store. >> some might say it's already here today. >> we do drop temperature-wise as we go into the weekend but not a bad weekend overall. today those temperatures well above normal, much like it was yesterday despite we've seen a lot of clouds today. 73 degrees right now in philadelphia. allentown still 71 so the cold front is still yet to pass through those northwestern suburbs and even warmer to the south. the atlantic city airport right now coming in at 75 degrees. we do see a little blue in spots here live on sky6 over the commodore barry bridge.

>> ♪ >> investigators are trying to figure out what sparked a fire and a series of explosions outside of atlanta overnight. the blaze at a propane company sent flames bill bog leg into the night sky and triggered five blasts. witnesses told authorities their homes look and they saw flaming shrapnel flying from the scene. the business was closed at the time. no one was hurt. a number of nearby homes and businesses were evacuated as a precaution. >> the pilot of a small plane is being praised for making a smart split second decision and likely saving lives. officials say when the pilot realized his engine failed mid flight he decided to guide it down into a pond on a las vegas golf course instead of trying to make it back to the airport which was near several buildings. now the pilot says he didn't know if anyone was playing on the course at the time but he knew nobody would be in the

water of course. the pilot and his passenger were able to climb out of the plane before it sunk. amazingly they walked away from this with just minor injuries. >> wow. an ambulance was stolen in ohio while a patient was inside. the driver led police on a chase and part of it was caught on camera. >> (sirens). >> the keys were left in the ignition when man jumped in the driver's seat. a medic was tending to rain shower activity pennsylvania. this was back in october when the ambulance took off moving. dayton police are seen trying to catch up and eventually they do. several officers pull that suspect out and a 44-year-old has been charged with kidnapping and on the offenses. >> a police officer is being called a hero for saving a little girl's life. in this grainy video you can see her frantic parents begging for help as she stopped breathing on a new york city subway platform. an officer grabbed the baby and started performing cpr. within the next minute the

child who is just shy of her first birthday started breathing again. she was taken to a local hospital and is expected to be okay. >> ♪ >> big talkers now. if you tried checking president donald trump's twitter account last night from 6:50 to 7:01 p.m. and you got this message that the page doesn't exist any, here's what went down. no, the president wasn't hacked, his account wasn't deactivated, he didn't take it down, someone else did. turns out that person was a twitter employee who pulled the stunt on their very last day with the social media company. so for 11 minutes the president's account was down. once he was back online and tweeting again, the president wrote about it calling the culprit a rogue employee saying i guess the world must finally be -- the word must finally be getting out and having an impact. now, twitter government as it calls itself tweeted out an explanation saying that the person worked in customer support, they've now launched a full review and they're

updating security measures to make sure that something like this doesn't happen again. ready for this one? this is altoona gynecologist says she's been inundated with calls from men trying to set up appointments, yes, men. she's an ob/gyn. so why are all of these guys trying to get an appointment with the doctor. well, apparently they heard that she's now certified to prescribe medical marijuana. the doc says her phone has been ringing offer the hook and it's primarily men on the line like most gynecologists she treats women exclusively. for her female clientele she's licensed to prescribe medical marijuana if they suffer from a number of approved illnesses but sorry, guys, no appointments for you. finally this is four-year-old lena here and she will not be getting any christmas presents this year. not because she was naughty or for financial reasons. mom says the tradition makes kids too materialistic, so no

afternoons, even slower on the southbound side with a 20 minute ride if you're headed in early to that sixers game this evening. but some better news right outside our front door at channel6. city avenue southbound has reopened at monument road. that crash that had it blocked for a little while is now towed out of the way. everything is back in business, although busy of course along city avenue. in kennett township chester county watching a bad crash, a vehicle struck a pole along burroughs run road at cedarwood lane so that's a good spot to avoid. we have been telling you about that flipped over vehicle in radnor township along newtown road at abraham's lane. church road an alternate around that. but things are congested in that area, just 10 miles per hour there along conestoga road nearby. of course volume is kicking in in a lot of spots. there on the pennsylvania turnpike westbound in chester county, we had an issue up ahead by 29, malvern, the e-z pass exit. everything is opened there now but still some speeds in the teens as you come west of valley forge. and elsewhere on the turnpike slow on the eastbound side near norristown, just 16 miles per hour there as well.

>> ♪ >> "action news." delaware valley's leading news program with jaime apody, meteorologist cecily tynan, rick williams and monica malpass. >> ♪ >> ♪ >> friday night. and the big story on "action news" is breaking news. a serious crash in radnor township, delaware county. chopper6 over the scene just a short time ago. a car completely flipped onto its roof and its contents scattered across the road. >> dann cuellar just arrived on the scene at newtown road at abraham road. dann what can you tell us. >> reporter: well, monica, the scene was just cleared here on newtown road and abrams lane but police are continuing their investigation into what may have started as a shoplifting incident. here's what we know right now. police say at about 3:30 this afternoon an officer had stopped a gold sedan occupied by three women for a motor vehicle violation. as the officer was walking

towards the car on conestoga road the driver took off at a high rate of speed. there was no police chase. but a few minutes later they got a report that the car had crashed into another vehicle and flipped over on newtown road near abrams lane. when they arrived two women were still in the car, a third had fled on foot but they caught up with her and took her into custody. two of the women suffered minor injuries and were taken to the hospital to be checked out. as you may have seen from chopper6 there was a lot of merchandise scattered on the road, items that fell out of trash bags like sheets still in packaging. police are investigating reports that the women might have been involved in shoplifting. that's the word they're getting which of course, may explain why the driver took off at a high rate of speed after being stopped for a motor vehicle violation. it's something that police are looking into as part of this motor vehicle accidents in which the driver lost control, struck a black suv and then flipped over on newtown road shutting down the traffic here that's passing through abrams ro
