44. new town 52. dover 57, look at cape may all the way down at the bottom of the screen, they're already pushing 60 degrees at this 7:00 hour. it's going to be a nice one in terms of temperatures. however we're not going to see much sun. the first batch of rain is working its way out to sea. that should pass on by to the north but it will keep the clouds locked in pretty good here from start to finish. there could be some leftover drizzle for the jersey shore but as you can see, the call from accuweather for today, mostly cloudy, cloudy skies, leftover morning drizzle mainly south and east, otherwise tomorrow 66 degrees is the forecasted high. for tomorrow temperatures get

even warmer. we're out ahead avenue an approaching cold front. the numbers shoot all the way up into the 70s again and once that front crosses the region you can see most of the week, this upcoming week is fairly quiet with a combination of sun and clouds. when i come back in a few minutes we'll focus on the warm-up on the way for tomorrow and the big cool-down arriving by the next weekend. >> a gunman walked up to a group of teens sitting on a front porch and opened fire killing one and wounding another. the action camera is on the scene. a 16-year-old boy was shot in the chest and neck. he died at the scene. a 12-year-old boy was shot in the thigh. he is in the hospital. other teens on the porch managed to get out of the line of fire. so far police have not made any arrests. also developing in north philadelphia another teenager was shot a few blocks from the temple university campus.

this shooting happened at 12:20 this morning along the 1700 block of north 17th street. the victim is an 18-year-old. he was shot in the back and is serious condition at temple university hospital. the gunfire woke up a temple student who lives in an apartment on the street. >> i was just laying in bed. and we heard three loud pops. >> police have not made any arrests in this case either. they have not said if they know what led to the shooting as well. >> a 60-year-old man is now in police custody accused of murdering his 54-year-old brother in elkins park. the arrest happened last night. the alleged brutal crime has devastated a family and shaken the community where they live. trish hartman was there. >> reporter: we now know the victim in this case is 64-year-old harry bachman police say he was killed by his own brother who is now in custody.

police say they were called around 12:15 saturday afternoon to this home on the 400 block of north sterling road in elkins park. the call was for a welfare check after the victim didn't show up to meet a relative the night before. when police arrived they say they found the man dead in the basement. they also found signs of a violent struggle and blunt force trauma to the victim's head and body. police say the suspect stole the car from the driveway. detectives found the vehicle at a hotel and took the suspect into custody. county and township detectives spent all afternoon and evening at the residence and placed markers outside the home. neighbors were shocked this happened on their quiet straight. >> any time you hear anything violent it certainly shakes you up. it's concerning. but on this street, nothing usually ever happens.

>> reporter: police have not released a motive for the killing. authorities say jameson will be charged with first and third degree murder. >> a camden county police officer has been released from the hospital following a shooting on the job and is now recovering at home. officer patrick o'hanlon gave a big thumbs up dressed in his sixer jersey as he left the hospital yesterday. he was shot in the leg during a struggle with a suspect on wednesday. a 19-year-old man is under arrest for attempted murder. >> in new york city city today they carry on after a deadly terror attack on that bike trail. a heightened security plan is in place. there is no spesk threat against the event. 50,000 runners will make their way along the 26.2 mile course. extra uniform patrol and plain

drizzle. a big warm-up is in store for us as we head into monday. some rain is possible with an approaching front monday evening and that's going to cool things down later this upcoming week. especially by friday and saturday where high temperatures may not get out of the 40s. here's storm tracker 6. patchy drizzle just north of the harrisburg williamsport avenue. steadier rains working their way out to sea. it is 54 degrees in philadelphia with a dew point of 51. winds are out of the east at 9 miles per hour and the pressure is holding steady at 30.24 inches. yesterday at this time if you remember we were down into the 30s and 40s look at it now. it's 54 in philadelphia. it's amazing what an easterly breeze will do this time of the year especially when the ocean temperature is still in the 60s. poconos 44 and allentown and reading both checking in right around 50 degrees. there is a coastal flood advisory up and that is for this morning's high tide which is actually occurring now, 6:30 to

7:30 a.m. this advisory is up until noon. the breeze has locked the clouds in, it's warming things up but it's piling that water on shore. from seaside heights down to rehoboth beach. here's the wider view on storm tracker 6, nothing going on in the philadelphia area. here's the next rain we're watching. the trajectory is moving off to the northeast. maybe clip the lehigh valley and the poconos. the philadelphia area will stay dry. showing a little bit of patchy drizzle through the late morning hours and into the first part of the afternoon. if you do see that drizzle it's not going to last long. by 5:00 you're seeing moneyly cloudy skies. perhaps a few peeks of sun here. a combination of sun and clouds by 9:00 a.m. by afternoon it's mostly cloudy again. here comes the approaching cold front.

>> a man has been arrested and charged with assaulting his neighbor who happens to be u.s. senator rand paul. the republican suffered a minor injury when 59-year-old man assaulted him. he came over tackled him from behind and forced him to the ground. the motive remains unknown. boucher was once a state senator and is an aquantity answer of paul. >> in health check this morning, if you're looking to stay in shape, find a friend. researchers in england tracked 70 people for 12 weeks. some did a group exercise classes and others worked out alone. they found that those who did the group exercise reduced their stress levels by 26% more and had an 11% increase in quality of life. the combo of social interaction

you know, he had a premature baby and i think he had just been given the diagnosis that she had down syndrome. lauren brought out the best in me. she made me a different person. deep down in his heart he feels for people who are disadvantaged. lauren's a light in everybody eye. she's the spark that has started the fire. the goal is to keep places like this open so all people, regardless of disability, have an opportunity for employment. see, i love you. i love you guys too. you know that. yeah.

forecast for today lots of clouds expected here especially throughout the afternoon. jersey shore some leftover drizzle early, 67 degrees very warm in the city of philadelphia today. yesterday's high only 59. today we're shooting for a high of 66 and perhaps a little leftover drizzle early by afternoon it's mainly cloudy. poconos could be a period of light rain this afternoon it's 66. all you winter fans wondering where has fall been. we have some cooler numbers out to the west. it's only 23 presently in bismarck and 42 degrees in omaha and the jet stream continue toss dip here along the west coast. you think about a see saw if it goes down in the west, it's up in the east. which means it's warm. you get a southerly wind.

you can kind of see it dropping there around portland. all the cold air comes back in through here and it warms up with southwesterly wind across the eastern half of the united states. it's all about to change later this week. we have a series of cold fronts that will be barreling through. this first one arrives on tuesday. drops temperatures back down into the 50s for a high. a reinforcing cold front, this gets here friday night into next weekend and this will bring high temperatures down into the 40s for the overnight lows below freezing. >> the eagles take their nfl best 7-and 1 record to lincoln financial field today for a battle with the 3 and 1 broncos. jeff skversky has a preview. >> reporter: eagles, broncos at the linc. eagles starting 8 and 1 for the first time in history and that history looks pretty good. every time they have started 8 and 1 they have played for the super bowl or the nfl chap.

>> this morning a camden county police officer survived being shot. >> it is a sure sign that the holidays are on the way. see how we're already wrapping up for a thanksgiving tradition. >> light rain overnight is out of here. it's a mild accuweather forecast and it's about to get even milder. good morning, everyone. i'm matt o'donnell along with jeannette reyes. it is 7:30. >> i had to double-check my watch to make sure that's right and temperatures were much, much colder this same time yesterday. we were waking up to numbers in the 30s and 40s. this morning the winds have shifted off the ocean. take a look, 54 in philadelphia. a good 12 or 13 degrees milder than the same time yesterday. millville 56, cape may 59. beach haven checking in at 60 degrees. that's the normal high for this time of the year.

the 24-hour temperature change, look at the numbers. it's 16 degrees warmer right now in atlantic city than the same time yesterday. reading 13 degrees warmer. philadelphia about 10, and trenton 13 degrees warmer. satellite 6 we're watching a couple of areas of moisture. the first one working its way out to sea. lots of cloud cover in between. the next system which is way out to the west, it is just now pushing over the mountains, getting into state college and areas north of harris burg. it looks like for the most part that area will stay to our north, you could see a quick burst of rain over the next couple of hours. here's the close-up view. as it crosses over the mountains it will lose a lot of its punch here we're looking at mainly just a couple of showers into the lehigh valley or poconos or a very light period of rain. little bit of patchy drizzle this morning. cloudy, mild this afternoon with a high of 66 and then for

tomorrow, 72 degrees is the forecasted high with a period of rain late in the day. that's associated with a cold front. that will do a number on our temperatures later this week. it will actually drop highs down into the 50s and then we watch closely for the arrival of a secondary cold front that could get in here next weekend and if that front makes it this far south, overnight lows will drop below freezing and daytime highs well never get out of the mid 40s. i'll be back with details in the accuweather 7-day forecast. jeannette? >> thank you so much. a camden county police officer shot on the drop. it was an up lifting moment from patrick o'hanlon went home from the hospital. at 21 years old he almost did not live to see this moment. >> reporter: no doubt it's a salute well-deserved. camden county police officer patrick o'hanlon gave a thumbs

up. he had a full escort surrounded by his fellow officers. his father spoke with us for a quick update. >> sore, a little swollen but good spirits. wants to go home and get in his own bed and relax. >> and who could blame him. this past wednesday officer o'hanlon was put in a life-threatening situation. police say around 10:00 p.m. he approached three men believed to be suspicious and one began to flee. but o'hanlon caught up with him and the suspect pulled out a gun and fired at point blank range. >> the gun jammed and the suspect was not able to finish him off like he tried to do. >> reporter: o'hanlon would be shot in the leg. the suspect has been arrested and identified. >> you talk about an individual who's 19 years of age, already

has three felony convictions and 10 arrests. >> reporter: o'hanlon was still able to apprehend and hold the man until backup arrived. >> he got shot at point blank range. the individual then tried to shoot him in the face. he was able to remove the gun from the suspect. >> then it was a team effort in getting him to the hospital and now home today so quick. his father says he wants to thank everyone, especially the hospital staff, that his son is going to be okay. >> he's coming home with us and he'll get well and we'll be back. >> president trump travels through asia as many of those opposing him attended rallies around the u.s. the group refuse fascism organized p protests in los angeles and other cities. protesters in l.a. chanted "trump and pence regime, got to go." while president trump was on his

trip, the second in command is pushing the tax reform plan. mike pence visited york, pennsylvania yesterday. he promises the first $24,000 of income for working class families will be completely tax-free. he says it would eliminate the death tax. a big part of the $1.5 trillion tax cut would be reducing the corporate tax rate from 35% to 20%. the president and fellow republicans believe bigger corporate profits will trickle down but some economists argue that may not be a sure thing. >> controversial will reduction corporate tax rate actually increase wages for the average household. >> 50% of americans disapprove of the tax proposal according to the latest abc washington post poll. 60% believe it would primarily benefit the wealthy. movety superstar julia roberts is the latest in

hollywood now speaking out about numerous accusations of sexual harassment and assault within the industry. >> reporter: oscar winner julia roberts is now speaking out on the specsual harassment scandal sweeping hollywood. >> it's moving forward and it's always, you know, worse before it gets better. so this is the worst. >> reporter: the superstar referring to weeks of news stories focusing on harvey weinstein and recently kevin spacey. new york city police saying they are gathering more evidence to potentially arrest wean stein for rape but they don't know if it's enough to bring the case to trial. >> we would need an arrest warrant so that requires a court order. so we want to get our evidence first before we go out and do something like that. >> reporter: the case stemming from an investigation into claims that weinstein assaulted an actress in 2010.

the actress alleging weinstein drove her home from a party and forced himself on her. at the same time netflix is keting its ties with kevin spacey. numerous actors have accused spacey of alleged sexual harassment. his representative is saying he is quote taking time to seek evaluation an treatment. julia roberts is hoping hollywood rises from the stand al in a better place. >> hopefully we can reform with renewed understanding. >> the city of philadelphia is honoring a firefighter who died in the line of duty five years ago with a mural. family and friends of daniel sweeney were at engine 7 in kensington to help paint that mural. people from the neighborhood also came out to help. the mural will depekt -- depict

>> probably thinking you retired just in time. >> nora is great. >> we'll miss her. >> in 25 years we'll see him right here. let's talk about your weather here in the philadelphia area. looking at the bridge, gray skies, cloudy and damp. very mild, the winds shifted off the ocean and bumped those temperatures up. and it's going to be a lot more comfortable than it was today. you won't feel that today. for the most part we are dry, just some spotty areas of patchy drizzle but it's so light that the radar isn't picking it up. you have to go out to the west to pick it up 66 degrees is today's forecasted high. the normal was 60. yesterday we topped out at 59. the low this morning was 53.

now we're up a degree to 54. millville 56. atlantic city 59. 50 in allentown and 44 in the poconos. it's all thanks to that easterly wind. now just the opposite would happen if the ocean temperatures were in the 30s, then it would be a lot cooler out there. but as long as the ocean is that mild and you're getting an easterly wind, you'll see warmer temperatures inland. here is another look at storm tracker. steadier, heavier rains out here across western pennsylvania. it is all moving like this. so it's going to be the lehigh valley in the poconos that will see this rain. perhaps a little bit of drizzle getting into the philadelphia area with that. that wouldn't be until maybe 10:00, 11:00 this morning. it's moving very, very quickly. so your surface maps should look like this. warm front in the process of

pushing through. tomorrow with a strengthening southwesterly breeze we get into the 70s underneath a mostly cloudy sky, late in the day it may trigger a round of rain or a couple of showers especially in or around the immediate philadelphia area. we'll stop the clock at 1:00, cloudy skies, maybe some left over drizzle, not a big deal. by 5:00, same thing. cloudy skies, maybe one peeks of sun before sunset. you saw the oranges and reds and yellow, it will come down steadily for a brief period of time. for today, leftover drizzle during the morning hours. otherwise it's cloudy and very mild. 66 in philadelphia, 68 in millville, 68 in dover and cape may 67. and overnight tonight a lot of these numbers are actually warmer than the normal high for this time of the year.
