more details from officials and also members of that community are waiting to hear the names of those deceased. aerials over first baptist church in sutherland springs, texas now scene of the bloody massacre with a death toll and number of wounded still rising a witness reports seeing a man walk in the church and begin shooting around 11:30 central time this morning. church service began at 11:00 a.m., sunday school at 9:45. local officials are following a brief pursuit, gunman was shot and killed, texas rangers , fbi, and atf, all responding, securing the area around the church. multiple helicopters were called into transport wound todd area hospitals. the town is 40 miles outside of san antonio with the population of only several hundred, the possibly to a thousand. also outside of the crime scene today... >> unaudible. >> reporter: people holding on to each other, showing support through tears and prayers, a

local pastor from another church in town, offering word of comfort. >> devastating for us, for our community, but with god is in control. he is still in control. no matter what happened we still stand on the fact to be absent from the body toys be present with the lord. everyone in that church, that died we know that they are in the presence of our loved jesus christ right now. >> reporter: officials tonight are releasing responses including president trump who in a tweet said may god be with the people of souther land springs, texas, fbi and law enforcement are on the scene and i'm monitoring the situation from japan. multiple sources do tell abc news that the shooter has been prelimblily identified but his name is not released. they describe him as a white male in his 20's, from outside of san antonio, right now, at this hour, authorities are going through his social media accounts, on his facebook page , they say in recent days he displayed a ar15 style

"action news" has learned that it was that of the 21 year-old woman art student in philadelphia, and police say that she was strangled. her name is key era johnson from southwest philadelphia and she attended hushing college according to a police source. johnson went missing on thursday and her family reported her missing the following day. police say she was found face down in the creek bed, the cause of the death is strangulation. no one has been arrested and police are searching for any witnesses or anyone with any information.

gun violence taken life of the 16 year-old and left a 12 year-old injured. shooting happened just after midnight when someone opened fire on a group of people sitting on the porch. "action news" reporter christie ileto is live at the scene with the details, christie? >> reporter: family members say marquis houston was hanging out, with his friends and one of his brothers just up the street when he found himself staring down the barrel of the gun. he was then murdered, steps from his family home. >> i was in my room. i heard eight gunshots. >> reporter: wanting to remain anonymous this woman ran to help her neighbor 15 year-old marquis houston. >> i started to, comfort him and said i could not do nothing. hes was laying on his side. i saw saw all of the blood. i check the pulse. i checked his wrist and his neck. >> he heard shots. he tried to wake him up. my nephew wouldn't wake up. he had tears in his eyes. it was a very traumatic

experience for his brother. >> reporter: witness says gunman approached the 16 year-old, hanging out with his friends on the 2700 block of 19th street. the shots were fired, with at group of kid. twelve year-old was shot in the seat, marquis shot multiple times in front of his home. >> i just cannot stand how this has happened to him. like we don't know. we don't know what the motive would be. we don't know why him. it has to be sick. >> reporter: it is not clear if the victims knew the gun man but his family is asking the shooter to dot right thing >> turn yourself in because if you don't, the law got you, turn yourself in. it is ridiculous, senseless, redick lust. >> reporter: now that 12 year-old who was shot in the thigh was taken to st. christopher's and listed in stable condition but anyone who may have seen this gunman during the incident or has information of his whereabouts is asked to contact the detectives. live from north philadelphia, christie ileto for channel six "action news". >> christie, thank you. a woman suffered smoke

temperatures will be cooling down as well. it was in the cool today. temperatures above average, we had a high temperature today, of 58, in philadelphia, 68 i should say. sixty-two in the city. sixty-two allentown. fifty-two in the poconos. sixty-two in lancaster. over in millville 60 and along the coast in cape may coming in at 60 degrees. we will widen out temperature profile here still 62 in the city. seventy-three in atlanta but looking off to the north and west it is below freezing mark in bismarck, north dakota a temperature coming in at 24. fifty-one in chicago. we have that vision of cooler air to the north and west and warmer air to the south and east. we will be more than likely find unsettled weather. that is what we are tracking, satellite six with action radar, showing that frontal boundary stretched out from the great lakes and the ohio valley, so this boundary certainly packing a bunch right now. tornado watch box's cross this region. this front will continue to travele of the appalachians as we get into monday afternoon and it will lose a lot of the
