this morning on "world news now," chilling new details from the church shooting in texas. >> authorities revealing a possible motive and saying the gunman came to kill everybody worshipping inside. this, as the air force acknowledges not sharing the shooter's criminal past with the fbi. we'll bring you the latest from the investigation. and the fearless man who heard the shots and ran toward them. he enlisted the help of another man, chasing the shooter, even injuring hem. he's speaking out. plus, this drone hovering above a crowd. its propellers spinning and then suddenly dropping right onto the crowd. see what happened next. and when you're on the virnl of completing an entire marathon like this guy, i guess he earned the right to celebrate, and celebrate he did. we are bustin' a move in the mix on this tuesday, november 7th.

officials have viewed the video of the massacre. one says there's little doubt that the gunman came to the church to kill everybody in that building, period and called him a horrible monster. that stark assessment as the root was rooted in a domestic dispute, the suspect hunting his mother-in-law. >> she had received threatening texts from him. >> reporter: he showed up with a bulletproof vest and a mask with a skull pictured on it. and the evidence is mounting that for devin kelley, violence was a family affair. he was discharged from the air force in 2014 after serving a one-year sentence for assaulting his first wife and 11 month old son. he hit the child with enough force to produce death or grievous bodily harm. >> they would be prohibited from possessing or purchasing firearms. >> reporter: and the air force admitting they failed to pass

along the information that would have prevented him from obtaining the murder weapon. the air force failed to pass along that information to the fbi. bottom line, the sale of that murder weapon should have been blocked. pierre thomas. >> and the man who cut the assault short is speaking out. >> he heard the gunshots from his home across the street from the church. he grabbed his own weapon and ran to the church. not even wasting time to put on shoes. he chased him to the next county with the help of another bystander, at times going more than 90 miles per hour. >> all i want to stress today is the people in that church, they're friends of mine. they're family. and every time i heard a shot, i knew that that probably represented a life.

springs. the group prayed together, singing religious songs. >> among the victims, eight members of the holcomb family, including three children and an unborn child. 14 people are reportedly still hospitalized, a dozen still in critical condition. matt gutman has more from texas. >> reporter: he left behind a slaughterhouse. you could see first responders working on the wounded. and under that yellow tarp. >> a dead body right there. >> reporter: nafd david casillas was there moments later, weefrping as he filmed. >> i seen family members coming out of the church with blood on their arms and clothes. they couldn't even talk. i mean, they couldn't say nothing. >> reporter: the victims ranging from just 18 months to 77 years old. >> when you see babies, young children, i mean, that's what, that gets to you. >> reporter: police say up to 14 children in all, including pastor frank pomeroy's 14 year

by driving his automobile onto the sidewalk. it's a very, very challenging thing. >> and despite a sign after the las vegas massacre that the nra seemed to be open to new gun legislation, there's been little movement on new laws in either chamber of commerce. president trump turns his attention today to north and south korea. he arrived in south korea a few hours ago and had lunch with u.s. soldiers there. next he heads to the capitol seoul. for its part, north korea has its own way of welcoming the president to the peninsula, by vowing to increase its nuclear capabilities while observers noted new activity at some of its sites. in the meantime, the president is asking for $4 billion additional dollars to support defenses. some say his original request

was too low. his request was repeated for 1 p1$.6 billion for a wall. a judge says she wants more information on the personal assets of paul manafort and rick gates. the judge says she doesn't think they pose a danger to the public but is more concerned about them being flight risks. they have been underhou house arrest since last week. manafort's worth is estimated at $28 million. and a man is arrested four allegedly threatening to kill, quote, all white police at the white house. the secret service learned about the threat from police in suburban maryland. i was arrested without incident yesterday near the white house. he was unarmed. you may recall that incident in suburban virginia where a woman who gained notoriety for flipping off president trump's
