are ready for it. ginger how cold is it going to get? >> these numbers are painful. let's start with the images that come from that same cold front. this was fargo and dozens of accidents, thankfully on that school bus no children were there when it spun out but i wanted to just point you toward those numbers. i'll go ahead and have that arctic blast on the map. pinks and purples hate to see. the feels like windchill, minneapolis, 7. up in northern minnesota, well below zero. but then by tomorrow morning, a place like chicago will see falling temperatures enough so that it only feels like 10. detroit, 12 and then it's saturday morning when the cold the core or the focus of that air gets right to the northeast. the windchills will be in the teens. even raleigh and nashville, 21 and 24 respectively in the deep freeze. i have much for coming up in just a couple of moments you. >> act like you're sproezed. >> below 20 got me 19. >> i think everybody at home felt the same way.

president trump making headlines in china. changing his tone touting $250 billion in business deals and now saying he does not blame china for taking advantage of the united states in the past after repeatedly slapping the country as we know on the campaign trail. our senior white house correspondent cecilia vega is in beijing with more. good morning, cecilia. >> reporter: hey, robin good morning. you remember president trump went after china repeatedly during the campaign trail. china was his punching bag but today right here in the heart of the city with president xi standing by his side it was nothing but praise. this morning, the chinese didn't just roll out the red carpet for president trump. they pulled out all the stops. a military band playing the national anthem. ♪ cannons firing. flag waving jumping children. more jumping children. and in return president trump lavishing praise on china's xi

murder. >> reporter: we tried to ask. do you still believe china is raping the united states mr. president? >> reporter: in this communist country where press freedoms are limited, no answers. now, the top item on the agenda for these two leaders, of course, north korea. today i asked secretary of state rex tillerson what this conversation about north korea was like behind closed doors. he told me president trump used flattery for president xi and said, quote, you are a very strong man and you can solve this for me. tillerson said that while there are areas of disagreement between china and the u.s. north korea is not one of them george. >> i guess that flattery works both ways. thanks very much. back here at home republicans in congress pushing hard for their tax bill but running into real questions about how much the bill will cost whether middle class families will benefit over time. many mary bruce is on capitol hill with the latest. good morning, mary. >> reporter: good morning, george. well, after the democratic sweep in the electionses earlier this week republicans know they need a win here. they have to pass tax reform.

republicans are promising relief to middle class americans but according to one new analysis while taxes on average would go down initially, in ten years one in four americans would end up paying more taxes than they do now and we're learning more about what this bill really costs, the nonpartisan congressional budget office analysis is in and this is $200 billion over budget. surpassing that limit required if they want to pass this bill with just republican support. in total this bill raises the deficit $1.7 trillion. >> yeah a real math problem right there. one of the ways we're looking to solve it bring the obamacare repeal back and could complicate things. >> reporter: to help save costs some are floating of getting rid of the obamacare mandate that all americans have insurance. that could help save $300 billion but it could also leave 13 million more americans uninsured over the next decade. >> bringing that back. the senate will introduce theirs

today and could be different from what the house is doing. >> reporter: while house republicans scramble to pass this by thanksgiving the senate will release their own version. these two bills are expected to differ significantly and that creates a real political dilemma. look ultimately any difference also have to be worked out and republicans are up against their own ticking clock here if they want to get all of this done by the end of the year. >> and could push into next year. thanks very much. revealing new interview with joe biden. the former vice president opening up about his decision not to run into 2016 and where things stand one year after president trump's victory. he sat down with oprah. our chief national correspondent tom llamas with an exclusive first look. boy, biden feeding speculation about whether he'll run in 2020. >> wait till you hear this interview. good morning. we're only one year into the trump presidency and former vice president joe biden is a name that keeps coming up to take on the president in 2020. now in a new interview an excerpt obtained by "the daily mirror" we learned he didn't run in 2016 because he feared

>> i wanted to be that person who was no matter what happened just got back up. >> now, many of the revelations about 2016 and biden's choices are in his new book out next week oprah's interview airs sunday on own. >> he really is not closing the door on 2020. >> that's right. i spoke with someone trying to get him to run in 2016 and this person is convinced he wants to run in 2020 but when i brought up his age, 74 this person said no doubt that will be a factor. when he's running on the campaign trail he's going to be 76, 77. "vanity fair" had a great line and said if 40 is the new 30 for joe biden 80 is the new 60. >> he's in pretty good shape. thanks very much. now to a massive manhunt underway for three inmates who escaped from jail one facing homicide charges and now on the state's most wanted list. abc's steve osunsami is in lafayette, tennessee, where the town is on edge. good morning steve. >> reporter: good morning to you, robin.

this is a rural area and people who live here believe that the three men who escaped from this county jail behind me are probably hiding in the woods. authorities have canine units, u.s. marshals even helicopters in the air searching for them. they believe that they could be anywhere in this area but tell us that they made their escape by pulling a speaker out of a wall and then crawling through that wall and then running out of the back of the jail. two of the men are in for theft and drug charges, but one of them 20-year-old dylan ferguson the youngest considered the most dangerous. he is accused of murder and was put on the state's most wanted list. one thing authorities point out is that the largest of these guys, six feet tall 160 pounds small enough to fit through a speaker hole. >> oh, my goodness. thank you very much. we keep hearing so much about these jail breaks. >> pulling a speaker out, wow. a new concern about airport safety as an expected

28.5 million people are getting ready to flay for thanksgiving. alarming results from undercover tests show checkpoints fail to uncover threats. david kerley has more. good morning david. >> reporter: good morning. you mentioned more than half the time it's actually worse than that. we got a tip that the fail rate was around 0% and a source familiar with this classified report says that's in the ballpark. now, this comes two years after the fail rate for tsa and some of these tests was 95%. now, the tests and the teams including secretaries and administrative workers try to sneak components from bomb guns and weapons through security. this is an effort to stress the system because terrorists still believe attacking u.s. aviation and the system can the crown yule for them. and for many u.s. officials the threat of laptop bops or other weapons remains extremely high right now. these new results are alarming for members of congress from both parties. they were briefed on this latest

called their mom. >> nothing could have prepared my son for how that sexual assault would make him feel as a man. it harmed him and it cannot be undone. >> reporter: unruh says her son did not report the incident out of embarrassment and fear but has since changed his mind. cape cod's district attorney confirming to abc news an individual has provided information to the nantucket police regarding an allegation of indecent assault and battery. >> the statute of limitations in massachusetts for both civil and criminal prosecution will allow this young man to move forward. >> reporter: sony pictures confirms spacey is being removed from the j. paul getty drama "all the money in the world." and replaced with 87-year-old christopher plummer. the star the latest in a series of celebrities who are under

by more than 70 women of sexual misconduct including some claims of rape possibly illegal jeopardy as well. the nypd telling abc news they believe the manhattan d.a. plans to present evidence before a grand jury which is not yet been convened yet and the manhattan d.a. telling abc news they don't comment on investigations or time lines this person weinstein's spokesperson saying we do not believe an indictment of mr. weinstein is imminent. no criminal charges are warranted. >> so amy, let's bring in dan abrams and larry hackett. we use the phrase sexual misconduct going so beyond that seeing more and more victims, they're pursuing criminal charges but haven't seen any actual arrests now. do you think that will change? >> yeah i mean if you're harvey weinstein right now you have to be very nervous based on the pressure that the new york police department is putting on the d.a. to file charges here. but i think part of the reason you're seeing so many more potential criminal cases,

criminal investigations is statute of limitations meaning people aren't now talking about things that happened in the '70s and the '80s. they're talking about things that happened last year. two years ago, six months ago. no statute of limitations problems either in criminal or civil. and so as a result you've got a much more active situation when it comes to these investigations and not the excuse of saying sorry, there's nothing we can do. >> speaking to that obviously in addition to the reports about kevin spacey and "west side story" -- ed westwick. >> the dam has broken. >> wondering whether the weinstein situation would change things it's obvious it has, a combination of people seeing the activity of -- that weinstein perpetrated upon people and saying that happened to me that's a crime, i'm going to the officials number one, number two, the degree of courage they're being given others are coming forward. i think, though this is just the beginning. just because it's been a month or six weeks doesn't mean that

people have necessarily screwed up enough courage to come forward. it takes some people a lot of time and saw that yesterday in boston. i think there's going to be more and more as people get that sense of proportion and that sense of courage to come forward. >> the court of public opinion is one thing. a courtroom is another. how do you go about proving these allegations? >> corroborating evidence. meaning these cases, people love to say oh it's just a he said/she said or he said/he said. not true. very often what you have is corroborating evidence. what are those things e-mails and texts from the time friends who were there when it happened or immediately thereafter. so anything you have that can back up the account becomes very important in ray courtroom because particularly when you're talking about some of the older allegations, a d.a. will want to say, all right, how can we prove this ask i believe you but how are we going to be able to prove this and that sort of corroborating evidence becomes critical. >> and, larry, let's talk about

how the entertainment industry moves forward. we know it happens in every industry but in the entertainment industry the rules are looser. you don't have a corporate structure. how do they figure it out and make things better? >> i think some the people there, whether it's leaders at studios or people with great influence will have to come forward and say we need to change the culture. you pointed out something that is right. when you watch an awards show it looks like they're all friends, it's basically a town full of freelancers who get together for different projects here and there. there is no hr department. there is no one to complain to. no central bureaucracy that handles hollywood and that's why these things are allowed to fester and go on. somebody needs to figure out how to do it. it's starting to affect the industry and nowhow people perceive this town. if they don't it will be bad for everybody. >> awards season is coming up. those shows -- >> the last thing on their minds. >> you're right about that. thank you. george. thank you. coming up new video showing the moments before that plane crash

we are back with the investigation of the plane crash that killed baseball star roy halladay. new video first obtained by tmz sport as peers to show him erratically moments before the crash. victor oquendo is in florida with the story. good morning victor. >> reporter: good morning, george. witnesses said they saw roy halladay flying aggressively not just before the crash but

all week. the ntsb says that they have not seen this new video. for now they're calling it a high-energy impact. >> what the [ bleep ]. >> reporter: this new video obtained by tmz sports shows former baseball star roy halladay flying his plane just moments before he fatally crashed into the ocean. >> what the [ bleep ], dude. >> reporter: bystanders calling 911 and rushing to the crash site to help. >> we're pretty sure we're going towards him. he just crashed. >> reporter: the 40-year-old's aircraft destroyed. recovered in four feet of water. this morning the ntsb investigating interviewing witnesses and examining the plane's two data recorders. the ntsb believes halladay did not make a mayday call but witnesses tell tm seem the retired pitcher would regularly posted feet voes of himself online was flying the aircraft aggressively all week. >> a lot of witnesses have said that the plane was maneuvering at low altitude. >> certainly i saw a steep bank angle that's unusual. but what he was trying to do we

my master's degree in nursing and here i am. >> i've been watching "grey's anatomy" since i was 15 years old. i knew that i wanted to be a surgeon and now i'm going to medical school next year and just continuing to pursue my dream to be a doctor and to be like meredith grey. >> oh.
