families and friends of 22 victims murdered outside the aline social club assembled with a clear message. >> i want this place shut down. >> reporter: 37-year-old pablo rivera was shot and killed here early sunday morning. it was the third murder outside the club since 2015. >> there was an argument an argument ensued and i guess they asked him to come out, i'm not sure who and when he came out, he was shot. >> reporter: a 24-year-old innocent bystander was also wounded. a club security guard shot the suspect who was immediately arrested. the story is all too familiar to the family of 34-year-old alejandro rojas garcia. he was murdered outside the a lounge in january 2015. >> it's a very long time we were the poster parents for the murder that is occurred here and now we are joined obviously by this family and other families that have been shot and killed here since my son perished here in 2015.

>> reporter: then and again now these families are demanding the place be shuttered and they vow to do all they can to make it happen. >> don't come here. , that's -- boycott this place. we need to boycott this place and that's going to send a message we're not going the stand for this kind of violence. >> it's a nuisance its a death trap here. you go here top socialize and you get murdered. >> reporter: on instagram the club posted another life lost in our city to senseless violence. it's not about a lounge or other places that these happening and it's out of our hands. in january a man was shot dead outside of the club. by phone a man representing the social club told me can't be held responsible for the actions of others. he's hired security installed cameras and cooperates with police. again, l and i is collaborating with philadelphia police liquor control and other govern

goff -- governing bodies to determine what should happen next. >> a bullet shattered the back window of a car and then grazed a woman sitting inside. this was the scene at the intersection of d and townsend streets. authorities tell us the man also in the car was not hit or injured. the woman was taken to the hospital just to be checked out. still not clear if the people in the car were the intended targets. >> authorities in burlington county are still trying to determine what caused the deadly crash in delran overnight. it happened about midnight on hartford road. one person died when a car crashed into a pole. a second person was pulled from the wreckage and rushed to the hospital. authorities believe a.m. second vehicle was also involved. but they have not released nine -- identity of the person killed. this crash in overbrook sent a car onto its roof. this is was near overbrook avenue. the detectives say a car hit three parked cars and flipped

over. that driver suffered minor injuries and fortunately no one else was hurt. it's not clear if charges will be filed. >> philadelphia police are looking for two suspects tonight who hit an east oak lane convenience store employee with a car. this is surveillance video of the man and woman when they were inside the 7-eleven on the 6700 block of north fifth street. after this they got into an argument with a worker outside. the suspect then allegedly ran into the victim. she was seriously injured. the suspects also drove partially into the store before leaving the scene. you're asked to call police if you know anything about the crime. from east brandywine township this is katie morgan. she has been arrested for carrying out a series of burglaries and thefts. authorities say they've recovered numerous stolen items from morgan. not all have been claimed. anyone in the east brandywine township area who has recently had a break in and are still missing items should contact police. >> centre county officials are

filing new charges in the death of that penn state fraternity pledge. that after previously deleted security camera footage has now been recovered by the fbi. authorities say the footage enabled police to determine that 19-year-old beta theta pi pledge tim piazza was given 18 drinks over just 90 minutes. investigators determined there was enough evidence to charge 12 new people in the case and bring additional charges against five current defendants. we'll have much more on this story for you coming up on "action news" tonight at 6:00. >> new jersey's next governor phil murphy spoke publically for the first time since winning the election today. one of his biggest concerns for the garden state the skyrocketing tax rate and what to do about it. he wasn't the only person in jersey talking about taxes today. so was ivanka trump. jersey. >> reporter: murphy was joined today by democratic congressman new jersey is a high tax state. democrats claim the proposed loss and limits on state and local tax deductions could mean one in four garden state families would see higher taxes under the gop plans. >> this is an assault on the middle class. it's an assault on seniors. even the so-called compromises somebody said to me listen, this is like cutting your hand off versus half of your hand off its bad no matter how you slice it reject this bill for what it is. i have to agree with my colleague, this is a scam. >> reporter: while the governor-elect and the congressional democrats held forth on their view as to the evils of the gop tax plan in newark 70 miles away at the shore the gop had its own get together, a far different take at this gop invitation only event in ocean county. attending the secretary of commerce and the president's daughter who promised to reconcile legislation will

since friday of daytime highs stuck in the 40's, the warmest day was yesterday but still that's 10 degrees below the average high for this time of the year. now, double scan live showing the area of rain that moved through this morning generally about a quarter to a half inch, that's well up to the north and east over new england but we still have a lot of low level moisture, low clouds, the misting out there and visibilities show that some areas are dealing with some fog. millville and dover, visibility 2 miles, wildwood 1.3. philadelphia is not bad, but 5-mile visibility its still pretty damp out there. the highest visibilities are north of philadelphia. so, this is what to expect tonight. it will be raw damp and chilly, not a very enjoyable monday night. some areas of fog especially early this evening, pockets of mist and drizzle and then the overnight lows gradually dropping, 29 degrees in the suburbs, 34 for center city but i do have brighter warmer days ahead. i'll talk about that in the accuweather forecast.

>> great program. time for a check of our "action news" traffic report monday night. >> take it live to matt pelman in the "action news" traffic center to see what's going on. how was your weekend, matt. >> weekend was a lot of fun, rick and monica. the afternoon commute not surprising something less than fun. these are the northbound lanes passing wissahickon avenue but the boulevard extension or schoolhouse lane are still better bets than lincoln drive this afternoon. have a bad crash there. they've been blocking most of the lanes for much of the afternoon there where the henry avenue bridge goes way up over top. so, again schoolhouse lane or the boulevard, think not lincoln drive as you come off the schuylkill and try and head home this afternoon. dealing with a rally by the criminal justice center so filbert street is mostly blocked off right now. i would just use market or race. stay away from filbert unless you're heading to that rally. in plymouth meeting a vehicle into a tree. you want to avoid germantown pike near butler pike. stay on ridge. that's your easy alternate around that. in mount laurel still have the

>> an exhausting search goes on for people trapped in the rubble. more than 400 people injured and 7,000 injured in the 7.3 jolt most in iran. a woman and her baby were pulled from the ruin but treating the injured is difficult because two hospitals are damaged there. at least 70,000 people have been forced into shelters. >> president trump has announced new -- his new nominee to lead the department of health and human services tonight. alex azar who searched as deputy secretary under president bush. he's a critic of the affordable care act. if confirmed azar will replace

tom price who faced ethics accusations. >> health check tonight billionaire bill gates is joining the fight against alzheimer's disease. he is personally investing $50 million to help fund research. >> health reporter and registered nurse ali gorman joins us at the big board now with details. >> hi, guys. bill gates says the disease has affected men in his family and he knows firsthand how hard it is to watch someone you love struggle with the disease. he wrote this on his blog its a terrible disease that devastates both those who have it and their loved ones. he says his family history isn't the only reason for his support. he also believes the right scientific research can make a difference in preventing or managing alzheimer's. right now there is no cure for the disease. it robs people of their memory and mental capacity. alzheimer's disease affects about 5 million americans and that number is expected to grow. also today, ear infections are common especially this time of year in children six months old and up to school

live on sky6 taking a look at the center city skyline. what you can't really is the tops of the buildings because we still have those low clouds hanging aing around. visibilities really tell the story. philadelphia about 5 miles so we have some of those low clouds. the thickest fog currently in cape may, 3-mile visibility in dover, also 2-mile visibility and the temperatures another cool day. stuck in the 40's for afternoon highs since friday. 44 in philadelphia right now, allentown 47, trenton 46, cape may 45 and wilmington 44. the average high for this time of the year is 57 and we'll try to get up to that as we head through the next couple of days. storm tracker6 live double scan showing the steady showers from the morning, they have moved on. we just have that mist, that drizzle. as far as rainfall totals kind of a drop in the bucket. philadelphia and trenton about a quarter inch, reading a little bit less than that, .15, dover a third of an inch

and wildwood close to a half inch of rain. it all moved through early this morning. so, satellite and radar showing, again still some of those low clouds left over. they will be breaking as we head through the overnight hours. it's just gradual. so, tonight some early fog possible. then becoming partly cloudy. 34 degrees in philadelphia, little bit of a chill in the air. trenton 30. cape may 38. allentown 29. reading and lancaster down to 30 degrees. so, future tracker showing as we head through tonight, the low clouds and the fog will be breaking for some sunshine by 7 o'clock, more clouds up to the north but through the day tomorrow, we'll see a mixture of clouds and sunshine. so brighter than today and temperatures a little bit warmer. still a bit on the cool side. at 7 o'clock, 35, by 1 o'clock, 49. should manage to make it up into the low 50's so temperatures running about 66 degrees below normal. so, the five day at 5:00 mixture of clouds and sun, tonight. you'll see some sunshine tomorrow. 51 degrees. wednesday partly sunny 53. could have a shower wednesday

alabama senate candidate roy moore to step aside as another woman accused him today of sexual misconduct. why the man accused of shooting a pennsylvania state trooper may be moved to a different prison. plus, some big stars are turning heads in lehigh county. what they're doing there and how local businesses are benefiting. >> and now the details. our new developments in the race for alabama senate seat as the top republican in washington calls for gop candidate roy moore to drop out. moore has been accused of sexual misconduct with minors and today a new accuser is speaking out. abc's kenneth moton is live in washington, d.c. tonight with the full story. kenneth, good evening. >> reporter: good evening, rick. roy moore is being hit from all sides. this new accuser gave a emotional statement about her encounter with moore decades ago and the senate majority leader is already looking for another gop candidate in alabama. the fight for alabama senate seat, the most powerful republican in the senate calling on the gop candidate, roy moore, to quit the race

now. >> do you believe these allegations to be true. >> i believe the women, yes. >> reporter: the washington post reporting moore is accused of molesting a 14-year-old girl and dating teens while he was a district attorney nearly 40 years ago. >> to think that grown women would wait 40 years to come before -- right before an election to bring charges is absolutely unbelievable. >> reporter: moore defiant digging in and standing his ground but monday another accuser stepped forward to say moore sexually abused her when she was a minor. >> i was terrified. he was also trying to pull my shirt off. i thought that he was going to rape me. >> reporter: moore's campaign says he's innocent calling the accusations a witch hunt. more than 40 republican senators and the white house say moore should step aside if the allegations are true. >> we're looking at whether or not there is someone who can mount a write in campaign successfully.

president rodrigo duterte. while there mr. trump met with the prime ministers of australia and japan. the president says he's made a lot of progress on trade and on north korea but he has not pointed to any specific commitments he's taking back to washington. however, he did tease a major announcement that he plans to make this wednesday. >> it will be a very -- very complete statement as to trade, as to north korea as to a lot of other things. >> president trump has another summit with world leaders tomorrow before heading back to washington. >> well, the families of victims of the sandy hook massacre are suing the gun manufacturer that makes the weapon that was used in the shootings. tomorrow lawyers for the families are ask the connecticut supreme court to reinstate the lawsuit which was already dismissed by a superior court judge because federal law protects firearms manufacturers and dealers from being held liable when crimes have been committed with their products. >> a large crowd has gathered in center city calling for a judge to recuse herself in the case against rapper meek mill. the action cam at a 1300 block

of filbert street right now where a rally in support of mill is taking place. mill was sentenced to prison last week for violating probation. the rapper's supporters say the judge has a history of personal bias and unethical behavior. more on their concerns and tonight's rally at 6:00. the man accused of shooting a state trooper during a traffic stop last week has been discharged from the hospital. daniel clary was discharged from lehigh valley hospital cedarcrest and taken to northampton county prison. however, "action news" has learned clary may be transported to a different prison because his father works there. clary is charged with shooting corporal seth kelly last tuesday in plainfield township. kelly remains in the hospital in stable condition tonight. >> a verizon store in philadelphia's manayunk neighborhood was targeted in an attempted burglary. they say a man broke into the store around 5:00 a.m. and attempted to open a safe but was not successful.

the suspect eventually gave up and ran away. investigators say he was wearing a red saint joe's university hawks hooded sweatshirt. anyone with information is asked top -- to contact police. one person injured in an early morning crash in olney. the driver lost control and crashed into a utility pole on the roosevelt boulevard near second street at about 4:30 this morning. at the time it's still unclear what caused the driver to lose control. the extent of the injuries is not known. >> the naval foundary propeller center at the philadelphia navy yard is looking to hire more than 200 employees next year. today they held a a career fair is the marriott. they focus on propeller remayors designs and manufacturing all to support the u.s. navy. the company is looking to hire mechanics engineers metal inspectors and information technology specialists. today's career fair ends at 7:00 p.m. septa update updated the

public on its plans to extend the norristown high speedline to king of prussia. they talk about how that area is not served by rail, only by bus. because of high traffic volume on the schuylkill expressway, the buses are often late so septa showed design options today for the proposed new service that was created with input from the community. residents who would be impacted by construction are invited to submit their comments to septa through december 4th. >> well, from tinseltown to allentown, some of hollywood's biggest names are in lehigh county these days and even stars need to eat which is exciting for local restaurants of course. "action news"'s walter perez spoke with the restaurant owners about their popular patrons. >> reporter: the only thing more exciting than a major motion picture being filmed in allentown is samuel l. jackson showing up at your restaurant. for the folks at queen city barbecue that has happened three times over the past few weeks. >> it's awesome to have someone as big as him come to this area and the fact that he's coming to all the local

restaurants and eating it's a pretty cool thing. >> reporter: but queen city barbecue is on the the only place where there's been sam jackson sightings. anjali corrado was the server when he arrived at grain restaurant on west hamilton street a few days ago. corrado says she was a bundle of nerves until she saw his t-shirt and started laughing. >> literally he had different characters of himself all over his shirt. pulp fiction, several different characters on his shirt of himself. >> reporter: that's really cool. >> yeah. that's funny. >> it was funny. >> reporter: jackson is here in the lehigh valley along with bruce willis and james mcavoy shooting m. night shyamalan's upcoming movie called glass its a third installment of a trilogy that started with unbreakable back in 2000 and then last year's box office hit split. filming for glass is taking place at the old abandoned allentown state psychiatric hospital on hanover avenue. so far, willis and mcavoy sightings have been rare but those who have seen sam jackson say he is charming and down to earth.

not much to change as we go into the monday evening hours. staying on that very cold kind of raw drizzly side to the forecast as we look live on sky6 at city hall at the rothman ice rink there at dillworth park down in the city. we see a few folks out there enjoying this night appropriately so, a little bit on the chilly side. need the gloves, the scarves if you're going to be out there this evening because those temperatures only in the mid 40's. you throw in that low level moisture on the form of some of that drizzle so it's kind of a nasty monday evening. 46 in trenton, 47 allentown, 43 in dover. cape may at 45 degrees. and as we press forward through the overnight hours and during the middle part of tomorrow morning, you can see temperatures do dip well into the 30's for center city as we go dear into the overnight hours. first thing tomorrow morning at 6:00 a.m., right around 36 degrees, staying there for an hour or so and then by 10 o'clock in the morning, back up to 40. in the suburbs it actually will go down into the 20's overnight tonight. as we look at satellite and radar, that system moving into
