scattered around the delaware and lehigh veil. storm tracker six live double scan radar you can see heavier pock nets trenton, mercer county and rain to the north and west for berks and lancaster county, lancaster county as well as that, but steady moisture moves in throughout the rest of the overnight hours. here's 3-d with storm tracker six you cab see a cold front we are tracking moving across eastern great lakes and parts of the ohio valley so overnight tonight, early tomorrow morning this cold front will work its way from west/e direction, press nothing to our region so we have cold front first and then on the back side of that winds will pick up tomorrow, so wind advisory has been posted, and it goes up at 5:00 a.m. lasting right through 4:00 p.m. sunday. you can find wind as high as 50 miles an hour across the region especially for first half of the day, on sunday, so talk about what we can expect? steady rain arrives after midnight, and during overnight hours, rain exits by about seven or 8:00 o'clock in the morning so that is good news for marathon runners.

winds, however will increase early tomorrow morning and temperatures will be crashing by sunday afternoon. we will take a closer look coming up with the full, exclusive accu weather forecast, walter. >> we are seeing breaking news in west philadelphia where a driver was shot and then crashed his minivan in the salon as customers were inside taking a live look right there at the scene on 52nd street near girard avenue. investigators say someone shot the man in the chest as he was driving. details are still unfolding but we do know that man was taken to the hospital, with life threatening injuries. we still don't know if anyone inside of the salon was injured as well. no arrests have been made. we will keep you updated as we gather more information. similar scene in middletown, delaware where driver of the car, crashed in, to a home, after being shot, repeatedly. this happened at 4:00 p.m. on the 400 block of west harvest lane. you can see car there up on the lawn, and then touching the front porch. victim was taken to christiana hospital, witnesses say another vehicle was following the victim's car right before the shooting.

so far though no arrests have been made. a man in his 70's suffered burns to his hands and face during this fire in north philadelphia. the fire broke out at 4:00 a.m. at a home there on the 800 block of west erie avenue. it took more than an hour to get this under control, homes on both side suffered smoke and water damage. red cross is helping those whose homes were damage, no word yet how the fire started. meanwhile investigators in new jersey are trying to determine the cause of a fire that destroyed a home in cherry hill, new jersey earlier this morning. action cam on the scene here along 400 block of kingdom drive look at that video. right around 12:30 a.m. crew as arrived to find flames as you can see shooting from the home. they have battled that fire for 40 minutes before getting the upper hand. nobody was injured, but the home was severely damaged. it is weekend for runners in the delaware valley as thousands of people aimed for a personal best during today's philadelphia half marathon.

>> runners, go. >> with that they were off down ben franklin parkway and through the city for 13 plus mile course. the event was precursor to the full marathon which will wind, 26.2 miles, through the city tomorrow. that, of course, means a lot have street closures so be sure to check six abc.com for a map about those road closures. well, holiday season is just about upon us and with that is a chance to help neighbors and friend. six abc once again proud partner with dunkin' donuts for our annual food drive and today local boy scouts volunteered to lend a hand. local food charities to help families in need this holiday season. >> try to teach them importance of giving back and it is a great way to do that. >> reporter: colin's dad says his son and other members of the pack 367 learned a valuable lesson by going door to door collecting donations. >> last week we gave out the bags, in the cold, and he understood what it was to give up that time of his own to do that. >> reporter: but for the boys it is not all work. >> it is pretty fun. >> i think christopher's church in somerton dozens of bags filled with food are ready to be picked up by philabundance volunteers, it is a holiday tradition that they say, makes their thanksgiving complete. >> scouting business giving service to other people. we participate in scouting for food every year as a community service project to help people in need. >> reporter: if you'd like to help, there are several ways to donate. you can add a donation to your grocery total at acme stores or you can bring a donation of canned goods to the six abc

we have developing news out of pittsburgh where police now believe they have found the vehicle involved, in last night's fatal shooting of a police officer. this is as a reward for information has been increase todd $40,000. the manhunt continues today for the gun man who shot new kensington police officer brian shaw, during a traffic stop. shaw had been with the department for less than a year. investigators believe that the traffic stop led to a foot pursuit and some point shots were fired. shaw was just 25 years old. one of the founders of the legendary rock group ac/dc has died. malcolm young, rhythm guitar player and guiding force behind the rock band was 64 years old. young, long with his brother angus young helped create

highway to hell and back in black. malcolm young's caught of death had not been announce budd he suffered for year with dementia. david cassidy is hospitalized tonight in critical condition with organ failure in florida. cassidy was rush to the hospital a few days ago in desperate need of a liver transplant n fact it is being reported that the 67 year-old performer is suffered both liver and kidney failure. we are told his health had been deteriorating over past several weeks. is there a growing chorus of opposing voice is a begins alabama senate candidate roy moore. today religious leaders gathered for a rally in birmingham criticizing moore over allegations he made improper sexual advances toward teenage girls decade ago. moore has denied allegations all while candidate's wife and supporters continue to stand by him. the election is scheduled for december 12th. today was a chance for new beginning for several children who have been living in foster care. today, they are with brand new loving families. the adoptions of eight

youngsters was finalized this afternoon with the way to move on presiding judge help these children's dreams come true. organizers say it is a way to help remine these children that the past is behind them and new hope for the future has just begun. some families will have warmer winters thanks to delta sigma bait a the valley forge chapter gave away thanksgiving baskets today full of coats and clothing. the baskets included items like house wear, children's toys and books. anybody in need was able to receive a helping hand from delta sigma beta, and their signature red and white volunteering at the godchalk elementary school right there in norristown today. more coming up next on "action news", eagles nation is getting pumped for tomorrow's big game against the cowboys. jamie apody has a preview when "action news" comes right back i work overtime when i can get it.

well, hundreds took part in a free end of the burning off of thanksgiving day calories. the city of newark hosted the forty-fifth annual turkey trot 5k and 10k, this is delaware's second oldest race. it benefits the james f hall scholarship fund, which helped fund local activities and programs for young people all across the city. time for a check on sports with jamie apody and we are getting ready. eagles are getting ready. >> about time, isn't it anytime we can play cowboys and beat them, it is a beautiful thing. >> i love this guy. >> one more day, another big lead in until the date with dallas that we have been talking about for two weeks now. bird have arrived in big d and so has our jeff skversky. >> e-a-g-l-e-s eagles. >> now, does this sound like dallas to you? it sounds like eagles country, eagles fans have taken over and the eagles, sunday night, they will try to extend their record to nine-one for the

what better way to start the day, then a little exercise and education. that is what these men and women were taking part in today at be inspired wellness festival. they met at balance in chestnut hill for some running , and a little work out circuit. you know it is for real when meteorologist melissa magee shows up. she showed up as host. for those that don't know melissa is a fitness freak. she's incredible at these things. you are very healthy. even. >> yes, that is right. >> i know, the guy in the video that was ryan hall, hoist a big time runner. he has since retired. >> big time. >> that is it. >> he is big time. he retired from. that great event for a great cause and staying out and being active. >> active tonight, walter we have showers around.

days, until thanksgiving. so get that turkey ready. thirty-seven days until christmas, and 44 days, until we ring in the new year. so big changes, heading our way. as we look at the numbers right now 51 in the city. forty in the poconos. forty-six for allentown and reading. down in dover 58 degrees. upper 50's in cape may. beach haven coming in at 57. satellite six with action radar showing you we've got rain scattered about the region. is there a warm front lifting northward so you have noticed if you have been outside today , it was cooler earlier in the day and then, now as this warm front lifts more toward us, temperatures will get milder. that will not last too long. we look out to the west we track that cold front in the great lakes and ohio veil this head our way in the overnight hours. so for the next 12 hours, steady rain, develops as we go throughout the overnight. temperatures will bottom out at 49 in the suburbs. 53 degrees in the city. temperatures rising, as we go throughout the overnight hours , in the first half of the day tomorrow.

future tracker six track ago this moisture, 2:30 in the morning we have got those showers scattered about the region as we continue to advance, this here, 5:30 in the morning, we have got a lot of activity along i-95 corridor and areas south ande. by 7:00 or 7:30 that bulk of the moisture out along coastal sections of new jersey and exiting our region but winds will pick up on the back side which is why that wind advisory has been posted. so, for the full marathon tomorrow, 26.2 miles, it will be very windy at 7:00 a.m. we are anticipating winds gusting as high as 45 miles an hour, partly sunny though, temperatures for the start of the race, in the upper 40's and then as those winds kin to kick in, winds will be gusting and temperatures will be crashing as we go throughout the day. accu weather forecast showing you tomorrow, windy with falling temperatures, we will start out with a high but 55. in the 40's by days end. brisk and chilly on monday high of 47, and then sunny, and milder on tuesday at 56, for a high, wednesday an early
