next gust right here. this is in effect until 4:00 this afternoon. we could see gusts as high as 40-50 miles per hour in this entire viewing area. a quick reminder here. if you haven't already done so, take the opportunity now, right after this head outside, secure loose objects because they're going to whip in the wind. there is the possibility of a couple of power outages. these are the gusts, wilmington, 39 miles per hour, we were just up to 48 miles per hour. reading you had 41 mile per hour, you're now seeing 32. philadelphia up to 41, millville 35 and dover 37. here's the good news. we were talki yesterday. we weren't expecting any rain to be falling during the race and as you can see storm tracker showing you that all the moisture is off to the east and it is affecting the coast line from wildwood all the way up to sandy hook. he nothing going on as i look up above i'm seeing clear skies here, clouds off to the east and

drive to help lift his spirits during the holidays. the cards can be sent to 654 bangor road, nazareth, pennsylvania. i put that on my facebook page. a man accused of fatally shooting a suburban pits bur officer. the suspect has been identified as a 29-year-old man. police say he killed officer brian shaw during a chase that followed a traffic stop on friday night. shaw was just 25 and had been with the department for less than a year. he reportedly served as a part-time officer in three other towns before coming to his current job. investigators had a stern message for the alleged killer. >> we will find you. we will arrest you. we will prosecute you so that you're held accountable. >> totally more than $50,000 are posted for the suspect's arrest.

counties in tennessee leaving a trail of damage in its wake. this was the scene just east of nashville last night. bricks from roof tops were scattered on the ground and wood from homes littered people's yards. there have been no injuries reported so far. meanwhile severe weather caused this damage in indiana combred. strong winds bent powerlines and flipped a tractor-trailer there. >> we've got some gusty winds today, right? >> we won't see anything like that, but we're talking about gusts like 40 possibly 50 miles per hour. the action cam is live. the start of the philadelphia marathon and you can see the runners running, the flags whipping in the wind. right now it's at the runners' backs. that will change as the course is a little windy at some point to the west, some points to the north. with that west north westerly breeze, expect to have a head kwind at times. the remaining moisture is

good morning, it is 7:30 on this sunday morning. and they're off. the action camera is there started about a half hour ago on the ben franklin parkway. and plenty of people are out despite the weather to cheer on all those dedicated runners. let's get right to meteorologist chris sowers and another look at accuweather. >> good morning we have the sun starting to peek through. we weren't expecting any rain for the marathon, we were just going to have to deal with the winds. the national weather service continues the wind advisory for the entire area until 4:00 this afternoon. we are expecting gusts anywhere

from 40 to 50 miles per hour. so far the peek wind gust has been out in wilmington. reading your peak gust was 41. in philadelphia that's your highest gust so far 41 miles per hour. millville 35. here's the good news. the rain continues to pull off to the east rather rapidly. it's pretty much confined to areas along the coast. from sandy hook down to see site heights to point pleasant beach. it looks like it's offshore in wildwood and cape may. again this is very swift-moving system here. and if you look towar the left part of your screen we are starting to see some holes in that cloud deck and i have clear skies above me. we are going to see sunshine out here today. it's going to be blustery from time to time and a little chilly as the day progresses. so it's mild generally speaking. temperatures are in the low to mid 50s but you can see how the

the sheriff's office and the district attorney to find the cause of the blaze. >> action news reporter bob brooks spoke with a nurse who rushed to the scene. >> reporter: walking around trying to help people and you don't even really have a facility right now. >> i know. that was one of my residents on my unit. it don't stop there. >> what are you going to do now? >> well, for one i want to get my car out of this lot and then i'll be all right. i won't, you know, crumble because of this. >> 160 residents and staff members were inside the building when that fire broke out. 17 people were hospitalized. some of the residents are now living with relatives while others have been transferred to other facilities. the company that owns this facility says it has made counseling services available to clients, their families and workers. our coverage continues on

6abc.com. we posted a report on a aid collection drive happening at the good will fire department in westchester. and stay with us all day long for continuing updates on this devastating fire. we now know that the person who crashed a van into a hair salon after being shot has died. the 29-year-old victim was operating this minivan for the salon when he was shot in west philadelphia last night. he was taken to penn presbyterian medical center where he was pronounced dead. no arrests have been made. >> from our delaware news room, a strangely similar scene in middle town where the driver of a car crashed into a home after being shot multiple times. this happened at around 4:00 p.m. in the 400 block of west harvest lane. the car ended up on the lawn touching the front porch. witnesses say another vehicle had been following the victim's car right before the shooting. no arrests have been made. >> turning now to the roy moore.

30s aren't bad. if you think that's chilly, wait until winter. winds whipping around, wind advisory continues until 4:00 this afternoon and every now and then you're going to see gusts from 40-50 miles per hour. so we are wind-whipped out there right now. 54 coming off of a morning high right around midnight of 61. still very mild along the coast. atlantic city 58 degrees, cape may 54, dover 52. all of these numbers are going down over the next couple of hours as the cold front has now swept through. we'll see the numbers drop down into the upper 40s, low 50s and they'll kind of stay there, hover there over the next several hours before finally plunging overnight tonight. wind gusts generally 35 to 45 miles per hour. philadelphia currently 41, dover 44 miles per hour, wilmington 39 miles per hour, and look at the cold air waiting in the wings.

3 degrees in international falls. here's the good news if you don't like the cold air. this is not diving down to the southeast. it's kind of working its way from west to east. the cold stuff will stay north of the canadian border. note what's going on west here, in terms of latitude, chicago is pretty much the same latitude as philadelphia. it's still cold enough out here. we're going to see some of this over the next 24-48 hours. high temperatures, tomorrow it's going to be a struggle to get into the 40s. here's satellite 6 along with action radar here goes that storm pulling away, have a little bit of cloud cover through the great lakes states but one thing we're noticing is the clearing taking place just east of the appalachian mountains. it will be windy but in terms of sky conditions, it will look nice underneath a sunny sky. as the low pulls away, the high
