five days after the ferocious fire at barclay friends and senior assisted living investigators fear the worst about four elderly residents who remain unaccounted for after an exhaustive search. >> the four people who are unaccounted for, one is a married couple. the wife 89 years old, the husband 92 years old. there is an 85-year-old woman who has yet to be accounted for and a 93-year-old woman. >> reporter: hundreds of volunteer firefighters and first responders had risked their lives thursday as the wind swept fire turned into a massive inferno. this is surveillance video of the response minutes after the fire broke. >> taking people out in a wheelchair, a woman taken out by a firefighter. if you look over here you'll see flames are already to the front of the building. >> the firefighters told me that they kept going back in there until their helmets were melting and cracked. police officers were running in there without any breathing

to figure out tonight. chopper6 over the scene along indiana avenue between fourth and lawrence streets about noon today. authorities tell "action news" the victims took themselves to the hospital to be treated. >> the u.s. government officially sentenced terminix today for spraying a toxic pesticide that nearly killed a family from delaware. the exterminator was also fined $10 million after the u.s. government says it illegally used methyl bromide at 13 residences and one resort in the u.s. virgin islands. that includes the condominium resort complex in saint john where a family of four from delaware got seriously ill back in 2015 after the unit below them was fumigated. dr. theresa devine her husband steve edmund and their two teenaged boys were poisoned. officials say the chemical left the father and his two teenaged sons either paralyzed or partially paralyzed. the extermination company has since agreed to stop using the pesticide.

>> ♪ this was sentencing day for retired police officer from cape may, new jersey for stealing more than $100,000 from his police union. 49-year-old john campbell won't serve any time in jail, though. instead he was sentenced to six months of home confinement along with five years probation. he'll also have to perform 300 hours of community service. campbell a cape may new jersey police officer for more than 27 years used a nonissued credit card to make unauthorized purchases and withdrawals. authorities say last week he repaid the union more than 100 $5,000 he took. >> president trump announced today the u.s. will once again designate north korea as a state sponsors of terror. that move comes amid heightened nuclear tensions or korean peninsula. the announcement was made during a cabinet meeting the the white house. the president says the designation will impose further penalties on north korea which he called long overdue. north korea was removed from

on their story. >> erin and abbey spent more than a year at the children's hospital. they were born joined at the top of their heads which is the least common type of conjoined twins but now they're about 16 months old and they are both ready to go home. it's a joyful goodbye at the children's hospital after 485 days little abbey and erin delaney are both ready to go home back to north carolina. the twins were born at chop 10 weeks early and conjoined at the top of their heads. early on they underwent numerous surgeries. then at 10 months old, a team of experts successfully separated the girls in an 11 hour complex procedure. >> scary to see these kids -- frankly we've become very attached to teetering on the brink and they came out okay.

>> they're such happy content little girls for what they've gone through. they've never lived outside hospital walls. and they're still happy, they're not afraid of people. it's just amazing to see that they're so brave through all of this. >> the twins will be back for additional surgeries but for now, the car is packed and they're on their way home. >> wonderful news. we wish that family well. from the cdc it's recommended that we eat two to three cups of vegetables per day but a new study shows just about one in 10 americans are actually eating this amount. in that fact, only 9 percent eat enough veggies and about 12 percent eat enough fruit every day. the lead author of this study says not eating the recommended amount increases the risk for chronic illnesses including diabetes and heart disease. the cdc laid out plans to improve access to fruits and vegetables especially in low

little surprises me but this situation looks so bad it's hard not to be stunned when you see it and yes, the ag brought this story exclusively to us wanting to send a stern warning to other homeowners. >> the sink was here. the range was here. and the refrigerator was here. >> reporter: donna catalano hired c and l construction llc back in 2014 to renovate this rental property. she says the owner left her with a shell of a home after she paid him $47,000. >> cut the circuit breakers took the copper tubing took maribel out of the home damaged the staircase. >> reporter: a lawsuit now filed by the pennsylvania attorney general says he never returned to do any additional work after tearing the house apart. and neither c and l construction or his previous company mirage young, inc., ever registered as a home improvement contractor. the lawsuit also cites complaints from other consumers. >> and we're here to go after them. we're here to hold them accountable, we're here to get

restitution for the people that are hurt. >> reporter: pennsylvania attorney general says his office is receiving a growing number of complaints against home improvement contractors. 2500 this year alone. >> we've placed a real priority on going after -- proem ticketing people from scams and going after these contractors who aren't acting properly. >> reporter: the ag has taken action on 500 cases already this year. including this filing and a lawsuit against brian t. mcgee jr. in pottstown. >> they just left these homes in shambles. we're talking between these two contractors a couple hundred thousand dollars worth of damage or worth of added cost. >> reporter: cml construction is now out of business but catalano is still hoping to get her money back. >> i'm hopeful. i'm hopeful but i am grateful to attorney josh shapiro for filing, the attorney general josh shapiro for filing this on behalf of me and many others. >> reporter: he tells me

town, then you have all the parade closures on thursday and extra traffic around the malls on friday, so it's something for everyone. this afternoon, though, just your garden variety situations on the roads like a crash here on 95 southbound side by woodhaven road. this is new in the last half hour and you can see it here taking out the left lane. so, you are dealing with some slowing as you come down from street road. sometimes i would say head over to one southbound instead of 95 southbound but there was also a crash there, southbound past 95, speeds still right around 20 miles per hour so that should be improving but at this .1 is not great, either. have another crash second of the afternoon along new falls road, this one is at durham road and it sounds pretty serious. sounds like someone is trapped in the wreckage there so you'll want to avoid new falls at this hour. on another chunk of route one this is the roosevelt boulevard extension in east falls northbound side backing up like it does every single afternoon. southbound side heading toward the schuylkill and overnight tonight they're going to be narrowing the ramp from the southbound boulevard to the westbound schuylkill.

>> adam is here. nice week for the most part. >> it is. this could be one of those weeks where the weather could play some tricks but it's not going to be the case for travel day or thanksgiving. today we started off pretty nice. chilly and sunny, the action cam in fairmount park a lot of leaves being ripped off the trees from whipping winds. breezy at times today but again, a nice way to start the holiday week. as we take a live look right now sky6 in our weather center from our temple university cameras, the winds have really calmed down and that's going to be the case overnight tonight so we're not going to talk about a major wind chill as we start tuesday morning. in fact, tomorrow going to be the warmest day of the week. right now winds 16 miles an hour in philadelphia. the last hour it was 20 miles an hour in allentown. that's come down to 12 miles an hour and now single digits for the shore, millville, dover, 7 miles an hour. so as you factor that in with the air temperature, many areas are in the 30's.
