. >> good morning, it's 7:00 on this sunday, november 26th. gray is off. tamala edwards joins us. here's a look at what's happening at this hour. one man is fighting for his life another is in police custody. authorities say this is due to a fight over a double-parking that ended in a stabbing. >> over the hills and through the woods all the way back home. today will be one of the busiest travel days of the year. >> plus looking to tame those bears, the eagles are hoping to make it 10 and 1 at the linc

this afternoon. >> that would get the week off to a good start. >> meteorologist chris sowers is joining us now to look at accuweather. how is it looking out there? >> everything looks okay. the problem is the wind is making it feel pretty chilly this morning. it seems like every sunday i'm standing out here. we have gusts around 20 miles per hour sustained wind speeds in the 10-15 mile per hour range. when you look at the actual temperatures, this is the 24 hour temperature change we're actually 10 degrees warmer than we were the same time yesterday. allentown is the 18 degrees warmer than the same time yesterday and wildwood 17 degrees warmer than the same time yesterday. the problem is you factor in the winds and it feels like 36 in millville, 38 degrees in allentown. so this wind is kind of spoiling our good time this morning. satellite 6 along with action radar, clear skies here across the mid atlantic, a couple of clouds across central pennsylvania this morning. some of those will sneak through over the next couple of hours

but nothing turning threatening. today will be a dry day. it will be blustery and cooler. forecast for the eagles game taking on the chicago bears 1:00, lincoln financial field. mostly sunny skies, a couple of clouds mixed in. it will be windy. first quarter temperature 49, wind chills will make it feel more like the upper 30s, low 40s. there you go. that's a sneak peek of the forecast for now. when i come back in a few minutes we'll talk about the travel forecast across the entire country and a huge warm-up in the accuweather 7-day forecast. >> new this morning, a 57-year-old man is clinging life after he was brutally attacked in philadelphia's spring garden section. police say he and another man argued after the victim double parked at north 20th and pennsylvania avenue overnight. the suspect allegedly pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim in the chest. two police officers were getting gas a block away and heard the man scream. they ran over and took the

suspect into custody. the victim was taken to the hospital in critical condition. also new this morning, philadelphia police are looking for suspects after a man was shot in the head several times. the man was shot while sitting in his car on the 4800 block of north 15th street in the city's logan section at about midnight. officers say he managed to crawl about a block. he was rushed to einstein medical center in critical condition. >> this morning the investigation continues into a death of a man and a woman in bucks county. >> they were found dead in the northbound lanes of 95. action news reporter has the details. >> reporter: state police say there is no danger to the public and they are not looking for a shooter. however they say they are looking for any witnesses who saw what happened out here saturday evening. a man and woman found dead on the on ramp to 95 northbound, both suffered gunshot wounds and were found laying close together, a gun also found

nearby. a 911 call reporting a woman seen running down the access road brought a nearby state trooper to the scene in minutes. when the trooper arrived just after 5:00 p.m., the silver suv was left with a door open on the other side of the concreed barrier on 95 northbound. the crime scene is on the on ramp near cornwell heights park and right. the pennsylvania state police crime scene unit took photo evidence of the scene. state troopers also focused their attention further down the highway looking for evidence along the concrete barrier. traffic continued throughout the investigation crawling by the scene until the crews wrapped up. >> at this point state police have not identified the two people that were found. reporting in bensalem, annie mccormick, channel 6 action news. >> an investigation continues this morning in trenton new jersey where police officers say they were forced to open fire wounding a man. this was the scene on the 100 block of pennington avenue.

the city's street crimes unit has stopped several men. an officer discovered one of the men had a hand gun. the suspect tried to run and officers opened fire striking the suspect. the man was taken to capital health regional medical center. there is no word on the suspect's condition. >> today will be marked by bumper-to-bumper traffic on the roads and long lines at airports and train stations as people get ready to head back home after the thanksgiving holiday. >> this year a record number of people traveled for the holiday so if you are planning to head out, you better pack your patience. the action cam is live at philadelphia international airport. we have seen the lines grow here. people starting to arrive at this early hour, and remember because there will be more people than usual, you will want to give yourself extra time to get through stuart. also if you're flying today, definitely call ahead to check on the status of your flight. >> now let's talk about tomorrow. people will look like they're working at their computers, but they'll probably be busy shopping. a record number of americans are

expected to let their fingers do the buying on cyber monday. experts want you to remember that holiday shopping is also briim time for scammers. be mindful of potentially fake websites that are designed to steal your personal information and this is something i just learned, make sure to always check the website that you're using that it has a valid "https." that "s" stands for secure. also look for a lock symbol. >> 7:06 now. many shoppers got out on a beautiful saturday to do their shopping in local mom and pop stores. small business saturdays. bob brooks talked to shoppers enjoy keeping their dollars right here at home. >> reporter: the holiday spirit was alive and well. santa claus was on the street greeting children, the jersey sound chorus was out carolling and giving out plenty of hugs to

their favorite news team. the festivities and good spirits all part of small town saturday and our first stop was inside the happy hip i toy store. >> we've been here for 38 years. so we must be doing something right. >> reporter: the store manager says it's days like these that keep them going. >> we know most of the kids in town and we know a lot of parents. we have second generation shopping here now. >> reporter: clearly the kids love it. letting us demonstrate what they bought. that was cool, huh? >> yeah. >> reporter: more of the hustle and bus bustle of small business saturday. >> i think we find a lot more quality presents, and also they have funny cheeky things in these stores. >> reporter: the owner of the little apple says the business

year. cyber monday is expected to set a new record as well. >> now talk about some football. the eagles walking into a bear trap. technically the birds are the best team in football and they have home field advantage as well. they're facing one of the worst teams the chicago bears which is why it's really important they don't make any assumptions. you know what they say. or get to cocky. a match-up like this one is called a trap game. a contest in which a good team overlooks a bad team and ends up losing. doug pederson has been drilling into his players they have not clinched anything yet. they have to keep winning to lock up their division. the eagles are 14-point favorites in today's match-up. >> you're hoping for another blowout. >> i want it to open up early in the game so my kids are like mom stop jumping on the couch and

today it will feel like late fall, early winter. pressure reading is rising from 29.96 inches and winds right now are sustained or constant out of the west northwest at 10 miles per hour. but every now and then we see a gust as high as 20. 40s across the board, 44 is a popular number to the north, reading, allentown and trenton. 46 in philadelphia, 48 in cape may. millville 41 and lancaster checking in at 42. current wind speeds around the region, 16 miles per hour in the poconos, 12 miles per hour out there in allentown. lancaster 14, philadelphia 10, millville 7. boardwalk in atlantic city 7, and the only locations reporting gusts are the poconos close to 30 and the lehigh valley. so again it kind of spoils the fact that it's pretty mild out there this morning because the wind makes it feel chilly. satellite 6 along with action radar, here's the good news. the same song and dance here all week long until to friday.

nice and quiet out there. just a couple of clouds across the mid atlantic states. a couple of snow showers across vermont and new hampshire. most of us are seeing dry conditions and very quiet weather. you can see across the hardland of the nation getting into the gulf coast states, there's really nothing going on. the only weather out there is across the pacific northwest getting into idaho, washington state and oregon. if you're traveling that would be the only travel trouble spot. everybody else looking okay. as we look at the travel delays nothing being reported across the mid atlantic and the northeast, the southeast is nice and quiet, all flights on time across the great lakes states even denver right now. everybody is ontime which is good news. here's future tracker 6, by 7:00, we're seeing wind chills in the upper 30s by afternoon 1:00, this is when the eagles game gets going against the bears. it will feel like 41 in

philadelphia, bkwoer by the tim over, 38 in reading but the numbers drop off rather quickly once the sun sets. first thing tomorrow morning, 20s for just about everybody, the exceptions being millville, atlantic city and wildwood. for today mostly sunny, sun and clouds this morning, lots and sun this afternoon, breezy with a high of 49 degrees, 46 degrees by 10:00, 49 by 2:00 and we're pretty much staying there hanging out at around 49 or 50 by 4:00 and wall-to-wall blue skies. 31 degrees outlying suburbs, 36 for center city. but you saw the wind chills that will feel more like the 20s. here we go. the exclusive accuweather 7-day forecast. lots of sunshine through wednesday. monday, tuesday, wednesday wall-to-wall blue skies all three days.

these sports. diagnosing can be as soon as easy as taking a saliva sample. a new study by penn state researchers pinpointed five molecules in saliva that have the potential to identify concussions and how long they will last. they are 85% accurate predicting which patients will show symptoms a month later. we'll be right back.

corridor dc up to new york city. dc 47. we're at 46. not much to talk about, just a couple of clouds, and a few snow showers up to the north we'll zoom in there first just a couple of snow showers. you know this part of the country here getting into the red field area right off lake ontario picked up over 300 inches of snow last season. they're starting to see the lake effect snow machine turn on now. the travel forecast across the mid atlantic looks really nice. it's a go for i-95 to new york and dc. out west pittsburgh looks okay. all is quiet. guys? >> okay. turning now to sports, the eagles are looking to keep their winning streak alive as they face the chicago bears here at home at the linc this afternoon. >> plus the sisters find a little magic in front of the home crowd. here's jeff skversky with all your sports.

full force today. >> and they better bundle up. it's a lot cooler than it was this morning. actually i'm wrong. yesterday it was cold but yesterday afternoon it was warm. the breeze is kind of off-setting those warmer numbers. 40 degrees right now in kutztown. media 43. center city presently checking in at 46. so most of those locations were in the 20s the same time yesterday. now we're showing 40s. the problem is with the wind whipping around, 10-20 miles per hour gusting as high as 30 miles per hour in the poconos, it actually feels chilly. satellite 6 along with action radar, nice and quiet along the mid atlantic states this morning a bit of a breeze. mostly sunny skies mixed in with a puffy cumulus clouds later on. 49 degrees is the forecasted high with the wind it will make it feel more like the upper 30s,

low 40s. yesterday we had a high close to 60 degrees. and now today we're talking about upper 40s and wind chills in the 30s. everything looks good across most of the major hubs. all flights are on time in boston, chicago, orlando and atlanta. it's on the chilly side right now but look what happens here later this week, that jetstream lifts to the north and pushes up into canada and we turn nice and mild. not one, not two, but maybe three days in the forecast where temperatures get aul c to 60 degrees. i'll be back with more details with that accuweather 7-day forecast. nydia? >> chris, thank you. now that everyone has had their fill of turkey and gotten in shopping, it is time to return to reality. the action cam is live inside philadelphia international airport. it will get crowded this morning as people begin to return home after the long weekend.

we did see long lines and i'm sure they will return. the sunday following traveling is traditionally one of the busiest travel days of the entire year. if you're planning to head out, be sure to pack patience. and if you're planning to travel by train you need to be patient and early. amtrak aftion officials say they expect the stations to be extremely busy all day. they say 750,000 passengers traveled on the rails last year and officials say they expect to be as busy as last year, if not even busier. >> in egypt the victims of the terror attack have been buried. this morning, an imam who survived is describing the moment of terror. linda lopez has the details. >> reporter: so many graves and there will be so many more for the over 300 victims, including 27 children, in the horrifying terrorist attack on an egyptian

mosque. the surviving imam recounting the moment the slaughter began. saying: i heard what sounded like an explosion outside the mosque and then some people came inside firing at all the worshippers. at least two dozen militants came in carrying isis flags hurling explosives into the mosque and firing at everybody trying to escape. then they skeped inside shooting anybody who was still alive. many victims said their final prayers during the carnage. they even shot at arriving ambulances. no group has claimed responsibility, but the islamic state is suspected. those worshipping may have found a mystical form of islam. >> connected to the shooting we had recently people who are worshipping doesn't make any

point. >> reporter: egypt's military now retaliating. linda lopez, abc news new york. >> here at home, an accident in south jersey has brought down two utility poles and caused a hazmat situation. it happened in the northbound lanes at 2:30 this morning. police say a woman in her 30s lost control of her car and slammed into two utility poles and those poles had transformers attached. one of them began to leak fluid which caused that hazmat situation due to the chemicals inside. pse&g crews are surveying the damage. the woman suffered minor injuries and no word if she will face charges. >> philadelphia police are trying to get answers on a shooting that put two men in the hospital. action news is on the scene along the 900 block of west hunting ton street in philadelphia. that's where two men were shot at 4:30 in the afternoon yesterday. a dark colored porsche stopped, someone got out and opened fire. one of the victims is listed in

critical condition. the other is in stable both at temple university hospital. the action cam also on the scene on philadelphia's strawberry mansion section where a man was shot in the neck. police say the 32-year-old victim was taken to the hospital in critical condition. so far there are no suspects or motives in the shooting. >> delaware state police are mourning one of their own. sergeant rodney bond junior died unexpectedly on friday. no official cause of death has been revealed but a church says on its facebook page that he suffered a heart attack while running with his son. bond was a 14-year veteran of the force and he was only 40 years old. an award winning author and professor at the university of virginia faces sexual harassment accusations from students. they filed complaints against john casey. he won a national book award in

1989. officials at the university of virginia say they are investigating the accusations. >> and questions are swirling this morning over exactly who is in charge of the consumer financial protection bureau. >> the outcoming director says he has appointed someone for the job but president trump says he has. that has caused a lot of confusion in washington. >> meanwhile the president has caused a twitter storm over his comments about time magazine's person of the year. >> reporter: in between making calls to foreign leaders, president trump has been golfing here in southern florida. the president announced that the current director of the office of management and budget will lead the consumer financial protection bureau as acting director. one potential issue, the interim successor was named, the chief of staff. the white house says the president will be making a decision on a permanent director in the coming weeks. a senior administration official told reporters they hope the

appointments don't spark any legal challenges but actions suggest he's trying to provoke a legal battle. the president is talking about time magazine tweeting saying they called this that i was probably going to be man of the year. i said probably was no good and took a pass. thanks anyway. but time magazine is firing back saying that the president is incorrect about how we choose our person of the year. time does not comment on our choice until publication, which is december 6th. reporting from west palm beach, florida. abc news. >> congress returns to capitol hill tomorrow and will place plen if i of unfinished business. tax cuts, a potential government shut dns down. the christmas deadline is a month away. he is planning a meeting to discuss how to the shutdown and to get some items checked off. >> next on action news sunday

>> an explosion in a factory in china today has injured at least 30 people. the blast was so powerful it knocked down vacant buildings nearby that was scheduled to be demolished. no word yet on the searsness of the injuries. china has a long history of deadly fires and industrial accidents. for the second time in a week a volcano in bali has erupted. this morning once again it started spewing ash into the air. those close to the volcano are coated in ash. the airport is operating but some airlines have canceled or diverted flights. >> let's talk now to chris sowers. it's actually been a great weekend. >> so far so good. and today's not bad. it's going to be cooler as we get you outside but we're still looking at a nice day. you can see the camera dancing around a little bit. we have those winds starting to whip around in the wake of the front that came through last night. ahead of the front yesterday we managed a high close to 60

degrees. today it's going to be quite a bit different. north westerly breezes should keep us in the upper 40s but with the wind it will feel more like the 30s. the numbers not too bad, especially when you stack them up against the same time yesterday. 18 degrees warmer in allentown, 14 degrees warmer in between ton and 16 degrees warmer out there in reading. the problem out there being the wind. it feels blustery. 38 degrees is your wind chill in wilmington. 39 in reading, 38 in allentown and 36 degrees is what it feels like in millville. there's the front right there you can see it arcing moving off the coast of maine and new england. what's left over just a couple of clouds across central pennsylvania and a strong wind whipping out of the west. places like new york city, boston, syracuse, vermont, new hampshire, that area here, they're going to see gusts 30-35 miles per hour today. we'll see gusts in the 20-30

mile per hour range. the wider we go there's not too much going on. this is perfect considering it's a huge travel day, quiet weather across most of the eastern half of the united states until you get all the way out to the west and that's when things begin to change. temperature-wise it's chilly but we've certainly seen a lot worse for this time of the year. 28 degrees. 32 in bismarck that's above average. 34 in omaha, 43 in atlanta and 52 in jacksonville. so here's the travel trouble spot. we're zoomed in on the west coast of the united states. it looks like los angeles is okay. this plume coming off the pacific from oakland and san francisco north through portland, oregon and seattle washington, this whole area here we're talking about strong, gusty winds and rain. we have wind advisory in effect, high wind warnings in effect for some of the passages out here, this part of the country, that's going to be the travel trouble
