surgery at chop, there surgeons are trying to save her leg. they are saying gun was girl's father and left unlocked when she found it and pulled the trigger. this is video taken a short time ago of the 64 year-old grandmother of the three-year old gunshot victim, grandmother is expected to be charged, authorities say that the girl's father claims he gave his loaded gun to the grandmother when he left for work and then asked her to put ate way. >> she put tonight closet, in a holster does not have a lock on it, and obviously we believe, may have fell asleep but we're not sure but the child, where he gets a hold of his gun and able to pull trigger. >> reporter: later just afternoon time here inside the home the three-year old shares with her grandmother, dad and uncle in the 1300 block of south wilson medics responded to i call for a person bleeding, but the grandmother allegedly withheld the full story from medics. >> medics trying to determine what actually happened inside the house, grandmother was not helping saying that she didn't

know. >> reporter: grandmother and family friend were home at the time. police don't believe the friend knew what happened, child's uncle came home later and put pressure on the child 's wound, police say father has a permit to carry and normally keeps the gun on the mantle, with the gun lock. and authorities are commending those medics who responded, to the bottom of what has just happened and watching that, girl to the hospital. charges are expected to be brought against the grandmother, including, endangering welfare of the child, and, tampering with evidence, and her father could face, charges as well. for now reporting live outside southwest detectives, annie mccormack for channel six "action news", back to you. we have learned identity of two people found shot to death on i-95 in bucks county last night. up investigators say it seems to be a case of murder/suicide deceased are three two-year old maria chew lynn chew and 60 year-old david chew lynn chew both of philadelphia at

5:30 police were called to i-95 in bensalem on reports of a woman, an foot running against traffic. when office's arrived he heard what sounded like two gunshots he discovered both bodies next to each other and gun in the man's hands. a man in his 60's is in stable condition after jumping out of the window to escape a house fire this fire erupted around 11:00 here in the 2,000 block of disston street in philadelphia's a rhawnhurst section. fire fighters encounter heavy smoke and took them 20 minutes to get the delays under control. police officer was also injured, the officer was directing traffic, here near the fire when he was struck by an elderly driver. that officer is in stable condition as well. time for a check of sports jeff skversky and eagles sent a message today don't bring that weak stuff when you come to south philadelphia. that is right 10-one. >> it is unreal. they have been playing football since 1933. this is only fourth time they have started 10-one. i mean this is a run you do

labor of love at parkins park in northeast philadelphia more than 60 volunteers, join state representative, jared solomon for clean up initiative to help spruce things up. it included painting, improving basketball court and soccer facilities and, of course, picking up discard loose garbage. as eagles were getting ready to take on bears this afternoon for fourth year in a row some eagles fans are tailgating for a great cause. it was annual turkey day tailgate to benefit big brothers and big sisters. organizers set up in the parking lot of the holiday inn on packer avenue and served classic tailgate there plus a few thanksgiving inspired dishes. tailgaters were also asked to donate books. it is beginning to look a lot like christmas every where you go that includes right here at peddler's village in lahaska bucks county. the shopping destination is exhibiting american 50 elaborate ginger bread creations, iconic philadelphia buildings, to reproductions of movie sets.

we have some breaking news to pass along out of delaware, interstate 495 south in new castle is shut down, right now , due to a very serious accident. this crash involved several vehicles, there are several injuries as well we're told. it happened just south of exit number one approaching the merge for interstate 95, it happened just before 6:00 p.m. so just a short time ago. if you were planning to drive-in this direction you are advised to avoid the area until further notice, no word on the cause of the crash, or the extent of those injuries, more information coming up on "action news" tonight and then six abc.com as well. melissa here with another check of the forecast, we're approaching december but sure will not feel like it. >> for late november, temperatures will be nice, warm, even as we get in the first week end of december we
