police say four young people were present when the beating happened. three are being charged. 14-year-old brandon conrad of the 4600 block of oakmont is charged with murder and related offenses. 16-year-old malik page of the 4700 block of oakmont is charged with murder and related offenses and 17-year-old emanuel harris of the 4400 block of shelmire also charged with murder and related offenses. 57-year-old kevin cullen was attacked around 6:00 p.m. sunday november 26th. the motive was robbery. the suspects caught up with cullen at the intersection of lorring and erdrick streets in the mayfair neighborhood where cullen grew up. witnesses told police the teens slammed cullen's head against the stone wall of a row home so hard that he would not survive the traumatic head injury. a homeowner's surveillance camera captured cullen being followed shortly before the assault. the homicide captain said he

thinks young people see these robberies as some sort of rite of passage but they can have tragic results. here's more from captain jack ryan. >> we don't have the time line fully established. we know and confirmed through the investigation that the motive was robbery. mr. cullen's pockets were turned out. other items in the investigation led us there as well. >> reporter: do you know how much money you was taken. >> nothing was taken. >> reporter: you heard the captain there saying this was a robbery. however, nothing was taken. the victim didn't have anything in his pockets. school district police and juvenile probation officers were told were instrumental in this investigation. police are not looking for any more teens in connection with this homicide. however, they are looking into whether these teens in custody now may be tied to other assaults particularly one other assault where a friend of theirs was already in police custody. live at police headquarters, i'm sarah bloomquist channel6 "action channel6

"action news." >> a hit-and-run killed a pedestrian in croydon bucks county. police are looking for the driver responsible who investigators say left the car ran into the woods and then into a swamp. it was around 7 o'clock this morning that the crash happened on the 2900 block of state road. the victim is a 46-year-old man who died at the hospital. "action news" reporter bob brooks will have more details on this story coming up live tonight at 5 o'clock. >> well, a woman is in custody being questioned in connection to a homicide in south philadelphia. officers say they found a 35-year-old man stabbed to death inside of his home on the 1200 block of johnston street. investigators tell "action news" there was no sign that anyone forced their way into the home. detectives could be seen leaving the home with bags of evidence. so far no word on any connection between the woman and the victim. to the northeast section of city where three armed men are wanted for robbery at a papa johns.

the suspects wearing masks robbed a delivery driver along the 6500 block of roosevelt boulevard. this happened around midnight this morning when they got away with cash and also food. >> a new castle county police hope social media will help them break some cold murder cases. they've established a facebook page now which highlights the cases and includes videos with families sharing their stories of loss. detectives thought that the person-to-person appeal enables the relatives to get the answers they're yearning for. >> we understand that there's some people who have information regarding these homicides and they are antipolice. well, this matter isn't about the police department. it's not about new castle county police. it is about the families. >> now, members of several of those families were on hand to drive home the call for information. you can find a link to the cold case facebook page at 6abc.com.

>> in wilmington, a police and firefighter rescue team responded to a report of a car in the brandywine creek. they quickly went into the water near 13th and church streets to cut the roof off the vehicle around 8 o'clock this morning. but it turns out no one was inside. a tow truck was brought in to pull the suv away. police are still trying to figure out how and why the suv ended up in the water in the first place. well, it was not the outcome the eagles or their fans were hoping for. the birds lost last night to the seattle seahawks. >> yeah, that leaves the eagles with a 10 and two record now and a few mistakes to learn from last night. jaime apody joining us now here in studio this afternoon. that was a tough one, jamie. >> reporter: it was but you know what, guys, i don't think necessarily it was a bad thing and i'll tell you why. the eagles, remember, hadn't lost a game since september. a reality check as the playoffs hit closer may be what the doctor ordered to maintain their edge. the game won and lost right here. a second and goal in the third

quarter when carson wentz fumbles at the 1 yard line goes out the back for a touch back. he missed wide open receivers. it wasn't just the quarterback that was sloppy doug pederson challenged some stuff he shouldn't then didn't challenge the most important play of all. fourth quarter birds down a touchdown. he let that lateral go. it was a forward pass. it would have been overturned and it led to this touchdown that ended the chances for a come back. birds fell 24-10 napping their winning streak and bringing them back to earth. >> everything matters particularly down the stretch and beauty of the whole thing is it's still in our control and guys in that locker room are sick to their stomachs obviously for the loss but at the same time we have a great opportunity again, you know, against another playoff caliber football team next weekend so, we just got to regroup, learn from our mistakes and get ready for another great game next week.

>> we'll stay on the mild side for the next 24, 36 hours. then we'll see those temperatures really drop here and the middle of the week and especially over the weekend but right now we're sitting at 51 in philadelphia, millville, 52 in cape may. there are some 40's for trenton allentown reading right now sitting at 46 degrees. so, as we step out this evening, the clouds have moved in after some sunshine early on in the day and with those clouds now overhead, it's going to prevent those temperatures from dropping quickly overnight. in fact, that 49 at 7 o'clock only goes down to 46 at 8 o'clock and then about 45 degrees as we get to 10, 11 o'clock and that low tonight really not dropping all that much farther than that by early tomorrow morning. and in fact tomorrow is going to be really mild ahead of our next system that is winding up in the northern plains right now, parts of the great lakes. there's blizzard warnings in effect for parts of the northern plains as the system ramps up and will bring warmth and rain our way. future tracker showing as we get into early tomorrow

morning, there are the clouds, maybe a spotty shower here or there at 7:00 a.m. but most of the rain is still holding off until late tomorrow afternoon into tomorrow evening when that front will be closing in. we'll take a closer look region by region and we'll let you know how much rain to expect and when it moves out sharrie in a little bit. >> adam thank you. delaware state police now investigating an accident involving an overturned propane truck that is causing some road closures in that area. as we take a look at these live images quite a mess here. this happened at namaans road and philadelphia pike just after 12:15 so several hours ago and this is still causing a mess. the driver of the truck was evaluated there on the scene and as you can imagine, a hazmat team was also brought in to take a look at all of this and to try and offload any of the tanker's contents. it could continue to impact traffic. we don't see many backups at the moment. i don't know if we can zoom out a bit more but again, this

is an overturned propane truck causing some bit of issues here at namaans road and philadelphia pike in claymont delaware. as we get more information of course we'll pass it along. >> president trump took aim at intensifying special counsel investigation today once again decrying unfair treatment. the president spoke briefly with reporters this morning saying he feels "very badly for his former national security adviser michael flynn. flynn pleaded guilty last week to lying to the fbi about his communications with russia. in defending flynn mr. trump said this. >> hillary clinton lied many times to the fbi. nothing happened to her. flynn lied and they destroyed his life. i think it's a shame. >> former fbi director james comey has testified that there is no evidence that clinton lied to the fbi. the white house announced the president has officially

endorsed roy moore. the republican who stands accused of sexual assaulting teenaged girls decades ago tweeted his thanks to the president. a spokesperson for mr. moore said the two had a "positive phone call today." president trump also tweeted that moore's vote is needed in congress. >> time now for the "action news" traffic report. >> matt pelman standing by in the "action news" traffic center with no doubt more on that situation sharrie just told us about minutes ago. >> we'll have more on that in a second. first i want to check in on 95. major delays this afternoon in delaware county so this is just north of where that situation is unfolding in claymont. the travel time is getting better. few minutes ago it was sitting at an hour. now it's a half hour so we're improving but we're extra slow here on 95 northbound from the state line up to 320. that's where there was an earlier crash that's now cleared so still trying to recover with speeds like 6 miles an hour but it is getting better by the moment along the northbound side of 95. meanwhile over on the schuylkill expressway, 34 minutes already a 20 minute

>> there are new details today about that 17-year-old from florida who went missing with her former soccer coach. the pair was found safe in upstate new york after a five day manhunt. as abc's maggie rulli explains the girl and the coach had a relationship that they kept hidden from family and friends. >> reporter: the soccer coach accused of running away with a student from the high school where he worked will now be sent back to florida to face his fate. >> he can be held in custody

for the next two weeks. >> reporter: police in new york took 27-year-old brian rodriguez into custody after catching him in a car with missing 17-year-old caitlin frisina. the family rejoicing to finally have her home. >> we are so thankful and blessed to have our beautiful daughter caitlin morgan frisina back with us. >> reporter: now new details according to a police affidavit friends of the teenagers say she told them she hooked up with rodriguez and that he wanted her to leave the country with him but she didn't know how to get out of it. the document also stating that frisina's school told police it handled a rumor that caitlin and rodriguez were in a relationship but concluded it to be false after the person who reported it took it back. he and rodriguez were spotted at various gas stations and even a pawnshop along the east coast. then on friday more than 1,000 miles away from her hometown, police caught up with them during a traffic stop in upstate new york.

about 165 miles away from the canadian border. >> i'm glad to have my daughter back where i know i can protect her and keep her safe as a father always wants to do. >> reporter: caitlin's family says they're seeking counseling to help them from this tough times. maggie rulli channel6 "action news". >> the united states supreme court justices hearing a case centered around betting on sports games. it's a challenge brought by new jersey governor chris christie. he's questioning a federal law that bans most states from allowing the gambling. in 2001 new jersey voters approved sports betting but a lower court ruled that a federal law from 1992 supersedes that. all four major sports leagues are arguing that expanding gambling would hurt the integrity of their games. more than a dozen other states support new jersey. >> this is the fear of every governor that we'll be at the mercy of the federal government and that they'll make us pay for it. it's not right. and i believe here that it's

very clear that the federal government overstepped its bounds vis-a-vis state rights. >> well, if the supreme court strikes down the federal law, several states are expected to quickly legalize betting on games. delaware already has sports betting because it was in place before the federal law in 1992. >> a new jersey town recently faced an unusual case of christmas vandalism. just before the sea girt tree lighting ceremony somebody realized many of the lights were torn down. the bulbs were left laying on the ground and wires had been cut. over the weekend police released a picture of their unlikely suspect. says it's going to be mild. >> for the next 24, 36 hours. big changes come in at the end of the seven-day forecast. a little wet weather to get through. taking a live look right now on sky6 over the ben franklin bridge and we did see a good amount of sunshine through most of the day but those clouds starting to take over at this point ahead of the next system that comes in here for tuesday. right now we're at 50 degrees or so for wilmington, philadelphia as well as trenton, kind of straddling that number. 51 beach haven as well as millville and upper 40's right now lancaster county, berks county sitting at 49 degrees. as we get into the day planner for tomorrow, as you can see it is a pretty dark day from start to finish with a lot of clouds out there. cloudy and eventually turning wet as we get into the afternoon especially. now, the first part of the day we're talking the morning going into the middle part of the afternoon, that 2 o'clock hour or so, there will be some spotty showers around but the steadier heavier rain comes in during the evening hours but it's warm.

those temperatures going into the 60-degree range in the afternoon. satellite and radar, there you can see the clouds as they begin to arc in from the north and west way ahead of that system which is still kind of gaining strength in the northern plains and the great lakes. but the clouds in play now. it's a mild night overnight. 40 in allentown, 46 philadelphia, 42 in millville, 44 degrees in cape may. there could even be some patchy fog developing during the overnight hours and future tracker showing 7 o'clock tomorrow morning, again, what you're seeing here that light green is some of that mist, maybe a little bit of drizzle in spots. that continues again until about that 2 o'clock hour but we're watching the front to the north and west. there's that steadier moderate rain that closes into philadelphia, wilmington, millville and dover during the evening hours. this is at 8 o'clock. and we'll see a steady rain for a good three or four hours going into the midnight hour on your wednesday morning. there's the front as it's crossing the shore at that time and then it's off the coast by 9:00 9:30 on wednesday morning, the

sunshine returning from the northwest to the south and east but it's breezy here as cooler weather comes in on wednesday. how much rain to expect? we're looking on average about a half an inch maybe up to three-quarters of an inch as this all passes by tuesday into tuesday night, so pretty decent soaking on board. as we look at that four day at 4:00 forecast here again tomorrow turning wet especially late in the day, 63 degrees, breezy as well. it's brisk and much cooler with returning sun on wednesday, 48 degrees. really nice, a lot of sun here on thursday, a tad chilly, 45 degrees. then cloudy and chilly again on friday, temps down to 40 for a high and later in that seven day, we could be talking about some snow showers and highs only in the 30's. we will take a look at that in the next half hour with that full accuweather forecast. brian. >> all right, adam thank you. we've got breaking news out of edgemoor delaware, the action cam on the scene of the day one hotel in the 500 block of governor prince boulevard

where we have been told there was a double shooting at this hotel. two people are dead as a result of this. police dispatched to the scene just after 2 o'clock here today. they've been investigating for about two and a half hours. very little in the way of detail right now but we can tell you two people are dead as the result of apparent gunfire here at the day one hotel, 5,000 block of governor prince boulevard. we'll work to get the very latest on this and bring it to you just as soon as we get it. location trying to keep the glass in place with the full story. vernon. >> reporter: good afternoon, brian, sharrie. there are lots of elements in this call by city council to reform a lot of so-called stop and go's in the city but this thing about bulletproof glass is especially controversial. it's uncertain whether city council will be able to pass these local reforms before the end of the year but they're trying with many controversies involved. at city hall today asian-american merchants called for justice for their community. they want to block a plan now in city council that would force them by law to remove bulletproof glass that's in place at the counters of the vast majority of the more than 230 stop and go's that are so widespread across the city and especially in low income high crime rate neighborhoods. >> no more normalization of receiving food or drink through a prison-like solitary confinement window.

>> all right, vernon, thank you. former villanova student accused of using a hidden camera to target unsuspecting women and girls has now been convicted on all charges. authorities say vincent cane had more than 51,000 lewd images and video when arrested last year. he allegedly used his job at a cvs into broomall and time at cardinal o'hara high school and villanova to create the material. cane will be sentenced on charges including invasion of privacy and child pornography next month. lawyers for meek mill renewing their call for a philadelphia judge to step aside claiming the fbi investigating her conduct regarding the rappers are case. the musician's attorneys say they were aware of the investigation into judge geneice brinkley. she denied a request mill be freed on bail saying he's a "danger to the community." the judge sentenced the rapper to two to four years in prison for violating probation

last month. >> police in mercer county say a deer caused a three car crash in ewing this morning. it happened on route 29 near wilbur that a road around 6:00 a.m. police say the first car lost a tire and then lost control after hitting a deer. the driver then crossed over into oncoming traffic slamming into two other cars. two of the three people injured in the crash were seriously hurt. but all are expected to be okay. well, it happened again on king of prussia road in radnor. another truck today hit the rail overpass near septa's radnor train station. the impact peeled the top off of this box truck. there aren't no injuries were no injuries. it took awhile to clear the scene. trucks underestimating the height regularly hit this overpass. >> well, we picked up about 30 degrees or so since we woke up this morning but the rollercoaster is going to continue as the week goes on. >> i like the trend up.

meteorologist adam joseph joining us with more of what we can expect. >> we'll get rain and then a winter chill sets in by the end of that seven-day forecast. so we talk about today which was pretty nice this afternoon with that sunshine and warm temperatures but we are tracking, again, some changes in the form of wet weather. storm track live 3-d it's pretty quiet around the great lakes and northern plains but the system is starting to pull itself together here, going to bring blizzard-like conditions for parts of the northern plains. you can see an area of downpours east of kansas city. this all pushing to the east and we'll continue to track that as we can see the clouds increasing also from our west right now on the satellite imagery but again, no threat of rain any time during the overnight hours tonight, even early tomorrow morning, pretty low impact. so, as we go through our tuesday, if you're traveling around, morning rush doesn't look bad. lunchtime not bad. it's later in the day tomorrow that we'll start to really get the roadways wet, slow things down. we will take a look at that

vine street expressway sharrie and brian westbound side an accident involving a city trash truck and a bmw. there you see it taking out the left lane as you travel westbound here by broad street. police are on the scene but with that left lane out of commission it is jammed solid coming off of 95 onto the westbound side of the vine. stay local, local side of the vine instead of the vine street expressway this afternoon. on the schuylkill expressway our broken down vehicle eastbound under 30th street station has cleared out but still slow speeds, a lot of them in the 20's as you come eastbound away from the boulevard and in case you're wondering about your overnight schuylkill work this week, it's eastbound that will close each night at 11 o'clock. you'll have restrictions both ways starting at 9:00 but they'll completely shut down the eastbound side each night this week starting at 11 o'clock. meanwhile 422 is also closing monday through thursday nights this week coming out of berks county heading towards pottstown, we're kind of used to this by now but it will be the situation again, 9 o'clock they'll close those eastbound lanes and so point ben

snow showers as well. as we take a look at the temperatures 46 allentown, 49 in trenton and also for reading, 51 in philadelphia and low 50's as you get towards millville all the way down to the coastal communities. as we look at satellite and radar here, to the north and west we are tracking low pressure starting to wind up right here bismarck between that and omaha, you see actually severe thunderstorm watch box up now from saint louis down into parts of almost northern texas and eastern parts of oklahoma. this is going to be a very energetic system and that's what's going to start to change as we get in towards the middle and end of the week. so, for tonight it's cloudy and mild, patchy fog developing, low temps 40 to 46 degrees so the numbers aren't going to drop all that much from where they are now. we may lose four or 5 degrees but that's it. as we wake up tomorrow morning, 6:00 a.m., it is cloudy out there. there could be some patchy drizzle or a few light showers around and that continues through most of the day tomorrow, early afternoon, 1 o'clock, again, maybe a hit

or miss of some mist around but then the steadier heavier rain comes in late in the day, still waiting for it to the south and east but it closes in there by eight, 9, 10 o'clock tomorrow night. it is a steady rain for several hours looking to about a quarter to three-quarters of an inch of rain as this progresses through and in fact that low is going to cut its way, way newspaper up into canada. 63 degrees for high temperatures. chilly air waiting in the wings as that front sinks down to the south, this low starts to stall and crank and that low with its counterclockwise flow is what's going to eventually pull in that colder air. it's breezy and brighter on wednesday, 48 degrees as we say goodbye to the rain but the actual heart of that cold air is going to hold off until the weekend. in fact, mild as of right now, the next couple of days and then that cold air slams down. this is december 10th and you can see it goes all all the way down to atlanta so the eastern half of the country definitely
