the country as a cold front pushes in from the west and the high today. the east coast still in the 60s. philadelphia 63 today. near 70 in raleigh and 70 in atlanta and cincinnati 59. and 44 in chicago where it was 65 yesterday. 27 in bismark as again the colder winter winds start to whip back in. as we look at the highs and say good-bye to the 60s of today. we drop 16 degrees from the 60s today and same for thursday and friday we lose 22 degrees from where we were today. so yes old man winter is moving on in. we look at stormtracker 6 live double scan there say cold front and along that, that is where we have rain breaking out and still far to the west at this point. pushing in during the late evening hours. a round of rain a half inch in hours. colder weather takes over and a huge pattern change.

shortness of breath. he is endorsing his son john conyers iii to replace him. and president trump has endorsed roy moore other republican leaders are following suit. at this point moore's election is less than a week away. they are coming to terms of the likelihood he will win the seat. they had pulled their support last month and reversed course last night. multiple women have accused moore of sexual miss conduct from when they were teenagers years ago. and president trump says he does not want a liberal democrat in alabama. and a bill in congress is making situation here at home. and the legislation requires all states to allow conceal-carry permits from other states. vernon odom is live now. >> reporter: good evening,

tonight a pair of pennsylvania top law enforcement officials are screaming out in desperation to stop a piece of legislation now traveling through the congress. they say it will introduce more gurns on the streets of pennsylvania and 49 other states as well. >> we have enough guns on our streets. >> today philadelphia police commissioner and the pennsylvania attorney general stood shoulder to shoulder blasting anti-gun control lobbyists. they are appalled by danger presents by proposed legislation to make conceal reciprocity a law. if you have a gun permit in alabama you can drive into pennsylvania and no law enforcement over who is carrying a concealed weapon in the keystone state. >> we don't know what the permit holders have gone through in order to be licensed or if they had a background in some cases. >> some states including 12

it was carrying steel coils that spilled on the roadway at 12:30 this afternoon and several other cars were involved here and no word on injuries or exactly what cause that crash. >> time now for a check of the "action news" traffic report. matt pellman is standing by in the traffic center with an update on that. >> i was about to rewind my reports from last wednesday when we had an overturned truck in the exact same spot. close the westbound turnpike in bensalem through the rush. but it sounds like it is not quite as bad. and traffic is just trying to move on the turnpike. through bucks county. however, they have this ramp from the northbound side of route 1 to get on the turnpike blocked momentarily, they just opened the southbound ramp. in the process of lifting the

closure, and backlogs for the ramp closures and on the turnpike. still speeds in the 40s. a sluggish pace because of that earlier now overturned truck westbound by bensalem. it looks better than last wednesday but still ramifications of that earlier accident and route 1 near cotman had a crash and that is cleared out of the way and a broken down truck 38 by the airport circle. we are watching a pothole near broad street and cars are hitting the pothole and the tires are going flat and in delaware if you are traveling southbound by route 1 near the christiana mall. watch for a crash the truck lost its load of lumber and a log jam off 95. let grab the ipad. wissahickon avenue a crash near

slammed into a tree killing a little 5-year-old. students were rushed to hospitals in liberty county an hour from savannah. it was foggy out when the bus crashed at 7:00 a.m. the impact caused the roof of the bus to cave in on the young teres. it's too soon to know if the driver was hurt and security footage shows her switching gears before the crash. the bus was not equipped with seatbelts, youtube is looking for them to clean up content on the site. gaggle adds just 10,000 employees from the staff. youtube hit a bit a rough patch withtisers pulling out. after youtube kid videos with profanity and violence. they say that trust season safety teams scanned 2 million videos looking to weed out

trenton and philadelphia. and 63 in millville and 57 cooler at the shore in cape may and same for beach haven. same inland for the southeast wind out of the atlantic and after the rain departs the colder winds are moving in and 9 above in international falls that does not include the windchill. as we look at satellite 6 along with action radar, it's not going to last long when the rain comes in the only a few hours we have the steady rain and some could be briefly moderate to heavy with gusty winds as the front progresses through and as we take a look at future tracker 6 at 9:00, we see the definitive line it's narrow and the quick hit of heavy rain and gusty winds and that pushes to the shore and at that time it's stopping in philadelphia. but a lot of clouds lagging behind the rain and as we get up tomorrow morning for the rush

run the city of philadelphia a 65-year-old is seriously hurt after a car ran him of while standing in the area that is suppose to be safe for pedestrians. annie mccormick is live now with the details. >> reporter: brian, on that roadway there is an area that looks like an extension of the sidewalk, at this hour we are learning to hear more about the condition, and his family telling us he is in the icu and at this point things do not look good for him. 65-year-old james wilson the victim of a monnight hit and run has police looking for the driver and his family looking for answer. >> you hit him and he through in the air and he goes into the air and coming down and you still leave, you know you hit him. >> wilson and his brother war crossing the street headed to

police in wilmington say that a 29-year-old man was killed when he went to investigate a noise early this morning. it happened along the 800 block of jackson street. the victim heard something coming from the back of the house and when he checked it out he was shot once through the back door and neighbors are stunned by this. >> a shock really to look out the window and see all the police here because you don't normally see that on the streets. >> police tried to save him but were unable to revive him. the victim not yet identified died at the scene. philadelphia police are asking for tips to track down a gunman that rob aid cvs in kensington. the surveillance shows shows the suspect getting out a white van. the gunman that covered part of his face with a bandana and walks into the drug store and approached a 40-year-old worker after forcing her to open the

compressions and one minute later that baby started to cry again. the infant's family called the office their angel. over at the big board with the big talkers today we begin with an ordinary photo resonating with an extraordinary number of people including one of the richest men in the world. this is sara willerman and her 66-year-old mom renee. she made national headlines, after the picture showing renee's hobby. renee was diagnosed with early onset alzheimer's when she was only 2. at first doctors encouraged her to focus on crocheting to keep her mind busy and the disease took hold. and now they are forced to pack up the crochet tools. since being diagnosed 12 years

many of you have seen year in and year out. it's not there. you can relate to it. and take your toddler to santa claus and the excitement gives way to sheer terror and makes for a funny picture. one mom says no and this sends a serious message. angela chance, a mom blogger will not be suggesting her daughter to the movement. she wrote a put my child in a strange man's lap and told her to say there even when she was uncomfortable so he would give her gifts. that is not what i want her to learn. but that she can say no when she doesn't like what someone else is doing to her body. instead they will just write a letter this year. is it creepy or cruel? or cute? this is a debate that happens

year in and year out. taking on new traction this year. >> a valid point. time to get a look at the roads out there. matt pellman is in the traffic center. what is rolling out there? >> we have terror and tears. especially for those that blowout a tire on 95 southbound a big pothole, rounding the walt whitman bridge and penndot is on the scene patching it and the center lane is blocked. the bad news is we have substantial 14 minute delay on the southbound travel time and jams south of the vine street expressway to the scene of the pothole approaching broad street. speeds around 10 miles per hour. not so hot but just volume westbound from montgomery to the conshohocken curve and better news in bensalem bucks county and they completely cleaned up the overturned truck by bensalem route 1 and the turnpike is back

in business and a little slow coming back from langhorne and recovering in bucks county. in harass ham a crash at the ramp at 422 westbound from pottstown and eastbound 422 will close again overnight tonight heading towards the pottstown. that closure starts at 9:00. word of a serious crash in gibbs town by the broad street school 44 at rambo avenue. i would stick with railroad avenue to get around that as emergency crews respond to the scene and the truck that lost its load of lumber. still a couple of lanes blocked southbound side of route 1 and 7 as well by the mall. expect delays coming off 95. we'll check it again coming up in the 5:00 hour. >> thank you. how about a live look outdoors on this tuesday evening, sky 6 hd with the ominous view of center city philadelphia.

we are seeing a little bit of everything this week. the warmth and cold and the first few flakes in the air to fall from some of us. the action cam was down in wilmington at is the wilmington river front ice risk. the holly player getting into practice and you see the ominous clouds that just dominated the sky today and rain is now about to fall from the clouds in the western suburbs, as we look at stormtracker 6 live double scan in the weather center, you see the rain and even in central pennsylvania a little bit of yellows popping up that is some

of that steady heavier rainfall. that will quickly pass through in a window here with a round overnight. a colder pattern sets up shop here with highs only in the 30s. and that looks to last for quite sometime. maybe a couple of weeks once the cold air comes in that it does not move back out. we look at stormtracker 6 live double scan closer in the western suburbs, approaching coatesville and malvern with the first rain drops to fall and once they start to fall that stays steady for several hours and lifting southwest to northeast and the direct east to west fashion and it takes time before it pushes into philadelphia. so it's not going to quickly arrive here and again a quick hit of rain a half inch on average. warm ahead of it. 60 in philadelphia and 62 millville and 64 in dover, even where the rain is falling, mid-50s for lancaster as well as

reading. satellite and radar. as we look to the west here and a ribbon of rain and the clouds lag after the rain ends and not a bright and sunny day despite that we get rid of the rain and 8:30 this evening. there is that line a quick hit of heavy rain pushing to the coast around the midnight hour, that is when we end the rain and by the morning rush the rain is off the coast and brightening to the sky and the jet stream dives to the south and once it happens it locks in here for a few weeks maybe right up through christmas below average. not looking at a major arctic outbreak. no longer above average. with the cold in play. a coastal low brushes to the
