our photographer alex cohen has been showing us the road conditions all morning long. right now he is onshore road in somers point atlantic county. it's a smooth ride on the roads right now going to come. >>ou can see in the shot we're looking at the roads being wet. we're getting precipitation and melting at the surface. sky6 live hd taking a live look we're seeing no travel problems around the area looking at the ben franklin bridge. we're currently dry in the city. you look at the radar it's looks like it's moistening up, hadn't happened on the ground just yet. storm tracker 6 live double scan shows what looks like a lot of moisture coming into the region, the trouble is, it's fighting off dry air. it isn't hitting the surface just yet. let's go in closer, you can see what i am talking about. we have light snowfall in dover millville, atlantic city the atmosphere has moistened upere. it's

trying to is to you can see the moisture working into the region it's evaporating before it reaches the ground. as we look at storm tracker 6 live 3d we see moisture working into the area, we have more moisture we have to deal with, it's a long duration event and light snowfall event. i was so hoping when i popped this number up, this graphic would be different. these the dewpoints in the area. the dewpoints are showing the moisture in the air. you want it to be saturated you need it to beees in the city. the dewpoint is 15. we have a long way to go before it starts hitting you tell. dover, millville, cape may atlantic city, beach haven, the dewpoint is approaching the temperature, so the air is moist and saturated that's why you're seeing the snowfall. we need these numbers to moisten up before you see the

reaching ground. as you go south of the city in dover, millville sea isle city and atlantic city we've had reports of light snowfall, flurries and light snowfall for the past hour. in gloucester county, as well we're getting reports of the snowfall making ground. you can see the moisture is here, looks like it's snowing in philadelphia, but it's fighting off the dry air. it's taking a while to come. it's on its way but slow to fight off the dry air mass. i-95 corridor above the freezing mark. 33 in philadelphia. 35 in philadelphia. when you get the flakes it will melt there anyway. 31 in millville, cape may and atlantic city where you're getting light snowflakes falling. 7:00 a.m. we were expecting the snow and nothing happened. by lunchtime we expect the snow in the city and 34 degrees. the snow develops today it's snowing, lightly at time, 3 5

7:00 p.m. we'll continue with the snow. temperatures above freezing that's an important part of the story, as well. the national weather service cancerled the winter storm warning for gloucester, burlington county, we have it further to the south the area we expected to see more snow. the advisory continues for the entire area, but warning is confined to the areas along the coastline. here's what to expect with the new information we're getting so far. the snow is fighting a dry air mass. we have a dewpoint in philadelphia 15 degrees. it's very dry. it will take a while to moisten up. we have all day. it will start in philadelphia sometime near noon. the lower end of the totals is what to expect. we'll likely get two inches in the city. tapers off later on tonight. we'll be talking about that and show you future tracker with the latest model trends in just a few minutes. >> this is a live look now in cape may, new jersey.

and gloucster county new jersey, and willow grove and mcguire some of the areas you're starting to see the flakes that have been falling. it's light to start so kind of a slow start to a long day process right now. let's look at a wider look. yeah we've got a lot of moisture to deal with. storm tracker 6 live 3d showing the area of low pressure will enhance as it pulls up toward the region. we'll see the snow throughout the day on evening but it will be on the light side. the dewpoint is inching up there, now that we have more moisture in the city. 16 degrees in the city. we have light snow in the poconos now. we're seeing the numbers getting more saturated dover millville, cape may, atlantic city beach haven whenever you see the numbers closer to the air temperatures that's when it's reaching grounds. the temperatures itself is 35 degrees. so when you're getting a little bit of light snow we're starting to see in center city it's nothing right there on the ground. >> reporter: it pretty to see.

fighting off the dry air. in the lehigh valley an inch or so of snow, 2 to 3 across the i-95 corridor. we'll see a good three inches of snow in dover millville hammonton and lakehurst and less along the coastline where you'll get the mixing. the exclusive accuweather forecast snow does develop through the day it's in the process of doing that now. it will be a little more noticeable by thefternoon hours. right now we're looking hard to see the flakes fly in some of the shots. 35 degrees for the high. tomorrow clouds and sunshine, 41 for the high. monday we're dry during the day 41 degrees for the high. we are expecting a quick-moving system to drop off rain or wet snow showers monday night into tuesday morning so that's a new timing with that. tuesday, mostly cloudy skies and 44 and then on wednesday it's much colder, 30 degrees for the high, look at the air mass, in the overnights hours you're barely getting out of the teens it's a cold day thursday, chilly 37 degrees for the high.
