california is burning tonight. governor jerry brown says wildfires are becoming the new norm there the thomas fire in ventura county is 148,000 acres and 15% contained. powerful santa ana winds and low humidity helping to fuel the flames. so far it destroyed 537 structures and damaged 118 more mandatory evacuation orders still in effect tonight. >> you look at see everywhere around you big red balls of flame of different densities and colors and huge and everything it's freightening. >> flames must have been 20 feet in diameter. >> coming up, on us when that happened we just ran out. >> reporter: now the cost of fighting that thomas fire has reached $17 million and

well two alleged credit card thieves literally jumped at the chance to spend some stolen money. police say this couple used the stolen credit card to pay for to sky dives on long island get this they also paid the sky dive center to take the video that yes police later got their hands on and investigators asking who might recognize the couple to call them there is a 5,000 reward to put them behind bars. pico is lighting up the holiday season a well lit winter night along jewelers row in center city where they are extending seasons greetings very festive there indeed. ♪
