moisture in advance of this, but the actual center of it is near chicago and that continues dipping to the south and east. and that will bring us a round of generally some light snow. and the national weather service issued winter weather advisories from philadelphia all areas north and west starting at 8:00 tonight and continuing until 10:00 tomorrow morning. a bit of a buffer there. the snow will be out well before 10:00. here is what to expect tonight. the snow begins at 8:00 and 10:00. and all winding up by day break. between 4:00 and 7:00 in the morning. most of our main roads are treated. untreated surfaces will get slick and cars and sidewalks will get covered. we'll talk specifically the amount of snow coming up in the full accuweather forecast. >> cecily thank you. >> now lets switch over to reporter walter perez along the parkway. this bitter blast a first taste of what is ahead.

started. chopper 6 hd was overhead of the flames of the homes of the liukin's home. his wife and daughter made it out but brian jr. and little parker did not. we'll have more on this coming up on "action news" at 6:00. philadelphia police are searching for one person that ran from the deadly hit and run at tacony. investigators say that a toyota corolla hit a similar vehicle with three people inside. the man and woman in the striking car ran from the scene and police caught up with the woman and they are still looking for the man and three people were injured and one died at the scene after being ejected from the backseat. an accused squatter is under arrest just 18 hours after "action news" reported two suspects were wanted by police. the investigation into squatters stealing homes gave them the

will eat and sleep here at the church of the advocate in north philadelphia where they sought sanctuary earlier today. they intend to stay here as long as necessary. as she and her family and children fight to be granted asylum and avoid deportation. >> carmela and your family is welcome in the sanctuary. this morning the reverend dr. renee mackenzie welcomed carmela and her four children from 9 to 15 to the church of the advocate at 1801 diamond in north philadelphia. carmela an undocumented immigrant from mexico and her undocumented children asked the church to take them in as they fight deportation orders. >> this is an important thing we are doing here today and we recognize that. we are standing in solidity with people that deserve as much as and more than all of us have.

health check the first large scale study showing the health effects for babies born near fracking sites. ali gorman joins us at the big board with the results. >> reporter: this is not a new concern but solid evidence is missing so now a large study shows that infants born within 1 to 3 kilometers of a trafficking site are more likely to be born low birth weight and they are more likely to have health problems immediately and later in life. the new research looks at 1 million births in new jersey before and after fracking began and those within one kilometer

striking vehicle has been traced to a relative of that woman now being questioned. two other people from the victim's car remains hospitalized but expected to survive. their rear seat passenger however was killed instantly. the incident happened after 12:30 this morning at torresdale. one toyota with two people inside ram aid similar vehicle riding it through this residential fence and three people were inside and one male in the back was ejected and killed. >> the car struck was occupied by three people. the rear passenger was ejected from the vehicle. and ultimately did succumb to his injuries. >> the occupants of the hitting car fled on foot. >> they ran around the block chasing them ran down the block and ran that way. i don't think they found them.

meteorologist, adam joseph is here now with a closer look at the frosty forecast but there is a light the end of the tunnel. >> we get toward 50 but snow coming in tonight we have to get through that. weather center live on sky 6 hd and stormtracker 6 live double scan low pressure is south of chicago. and this is an alberta clipper system and the snow is spreading to the south and east and blossoming as expected just to the south of the panhandle of west virginia. all of that comes together and transfers its energy to a coastal storm that develops way out to sea. we have to deal with the energy of this clipper passing through. it's an alberta clipper because it comes from alberta canada and moisture starved and you don't get a lot of snow but a round of light snow tonight and the highest totals are in our pennsylvania counties and the

far northwestern suburbs and the lehigh valley. and tomorrow windchills not into the teens like today but in the 20s, still cold but a little bit better. in fact the high today was only 31 degrees in philadelphia. and the coldest of the season and felt as cold as 7 degrees as we woke up and this afternoon 19 degrees for the windchill and the peek wind gusts early in the day was 42 miles per hour. right now 14 in reading and 17 in philadelphia and millville, 21 in dover and the same for cape may. bone chilling out there and as the snow progresses in from the north and west. everything flake is going to stick when it hits the ground. a lot of surfaces are brined and that may take on a little bit of melting but this is fast moving as it passes through starting at 9:00 tonight in the western suburbs and the state of delaware you start to see the first flurries fall then and berks county and western chester

county and into philadelphia by 10:00 and it's snowing across most of the area light to moderately and as it starts to pick up, it then moves out. it doesn't last all that long. by 3:30 in the morning it's shutting off in much of the area with the exception of the lehigh valley and the poconos and everything is drying up and even the cuds at 7:30 in the morning and starting to move on out and sunshine in full force tomorrow afternoon. we are not looking at a lot and most of this now falls in the overnight hours, a coatling to an inch across this dark gray area, and north the the pennsylvania turnpike and doylestown and all points 1 to 2 inches of the fluffy snow you can easily brush off with your hand and a broom on the sidewalk, you can expect some delays tomorrow morning. and not because the snow is falling because the snow is covering the side streets, also the driveways and the sidewalks

two brothers were killed after a fire in shanksville. while the father, mother and a daughter escaped the flames, the two boys did not.
