out road conditions. >> reporter: david murphy has weather and matt pellman has traffic. >> reporter: i came in on route 1 near the station, it's not completely plowed, you have to take it slow. the winter weather advisory up until 10:00 a.m., light snow in the northern suburbs, looks like the snow will be over before 10:00 a.m., but it may take that long for the roads to get settled. the wide view cloud cover a few snow showers passing through, you get a better look on storm tracker 6 live double scan. you can see there's one last band of snow coming through. some of the stuff highlighted in the brighter shades of white north and west of reading heading toward allentown. that could be an additional accumulation. in general what we have on the ground is one to two inches and some spots a coating to a half inch.

temperatures are below freezing in philadelphia. 30 degrees there, 25 in trenton. 31 in wilmington, 23 in allentown. 25 in reading, in these areas in southeastern pennsylvania and probably across the river into parts of south jersey you have below-freezing temperatures until they get the roads salted and sweeped they will be slick. in millville, 35 degrees, slushy there. 36 in ac. 35 degrees by noon, with the sun breaking out. by 3:00 p.m. we'll have a decent amount of sunshine and 38 degrees. 33 by 5:00 p.m., 29 by 7:00 p.m. tonight. if you're dressing the kids for the bus stop this morning bundle them up a bit. you're a bit below freezing, 30 degrees in philadelphia. 24 in some outlying suburbs, not as windy as yesterday, so that's good. we have a warmup in the

seven-day forecast, matt pellman i have that story we'll set our sights on the weekend. >> reporter: yes, i completely agree. good morning everybody, we're talking slick roads, but first i want to give you an update on i-95. they have moved the cow into the parking lot. she is off i-95 and loaded into a trailer. the good news she is going to be fine, southbound lanes of i-95 are open, as well. i won't milk that too long, let's move along, i could have done so many more. this is a crash southbound lanes southwest philadelphia, there's the white sedan facing the wrong way at enterprise avenue off the girard point bridge. once you get to the secondary roads like south broad street. pattison avenue you see a decent amount of slush and snow coverage on the roads, secondary

routes will be slippery this morning as you try to head out. the overnight construction wrapped early. schuylkill expressway eastbound side is open an hour early this morning heading toward south street or the vine no problems here. the blue route, 476 in conshohocken. they are wrapping up a work zone here it is the southbound off-ramp from the blue route to the schuylkill expressway, partially blocked on this thursday morning. matt. >> you'll be milking that cow story all morning long. >> reporter: i will. >> the snow began to fall before some people went to bed last night. that has given crews time to clear the streets before you head out this morning. katherine scott is live in manayunk where it can be more treacherous than any other city neighborhoods. >> reporter: good morning, matt it depends on where you are and how your car does in the snow. in manayunk we've seen roads with less snow some of the side

streets are snow covered. you take a look on green lane in manayunk it's slushy in spots, it's wet. compared to the snow covered sidewalks you can see the improvement. you can see the mouth of dexter over there, how it compares to green lane. overnight cars were slipping and sliding along the stretch in manayunk. the snow started falling last night. it stopped by early this morning, that a loud for clearing and allowed for roads to recover before the morning rush, before that clearing it was certainly treacherous in spots and of course in manayunk, the hills don't help the situation. the temperatures are low, expect slick spots and take your time. you want to leave extra time this morning even just to clear off your car. there was enough snow to fall it's going to be on your windshield and covering your windows and your roof. don't create an unsafe situation driving with the snow on your

car. leave plenty of extra time for the clearing, slick spots, but a lot of main roads are okay, passable because of the timing of the snow. it did give crews time to work, however you will see spots that are treacherous to travel. live in manayunk, katherine scott channel 6 "action news." >> thank you, katherine. there was no escaping the wintry weather anywhere in the delaware valley. let's go live to trish hartman with a look at what peopler waking up to in bucks county, street road in warminster. trish good morning. >> reporter: good morning, we're here in warminster, the roads are slick this morning, i'll show you take a look, along street road down the intersection with 263. the roads are wet and slushy, portions of street road are snow covered this morning, we've seen a few plow trucks coming in getting gassed up this morning. overall you want to take your time i can tell you based on our

drive in, you want to leave extra time because there are slick spots in bucks county. we stopped by the penndot truck in norristown where trucks were loading up on salt. penndot said travel will be tricky because of the freezing temperatures we've had to endure leading up to the event. so far main roads are slushy or slick. slide roads will have more coverage, officials say take it slow when you drive around this morning. >> expect a coating, temperatures are cold,, we expect the snow to probably stick this time around won't be as slushy maybe the last time in philadelphia and delaware county. i would expect initial coverage, so hopefully that salt will work, some of the pretreating will take effect and minimize some of the impact of the

initial freezing s again we have people out and about this morning, portions of street road are snow covered and patches, bucks county is in its first code blue which mean temperatures are dangerously cold the past few days, officials are asking folks to take it slow, give yourself plenty of extra time as you drive around this morning. live in warminster, bucks county, trish hartman channel 6 "action news." here's a look at the snowy weather in wilmington. this is the view from the traffic cam route 13, not many cars in sight, roads are slushy. >> reporter: taking a look at what came down in burlington county, new jersey, the lights are on making it easy to see how wet the roads have become. snow coating on the sidewalks i.

a driver was injured when he lost control of his car near umbria street before midnight. the car slid off the road and crashed into an embankment. a passing tow truck driver noticed the headlights off the road and called police errantsly pulling the car out. the tow truck driver plans to return to retrieve the smaller damaged parts out there last night. police found themselves in having to corral a cow in northwestern liberties after 2:00 a.m. they guided the cow off the internet. it broke free from race street it was being used in a live nativity scene.

>> they were looking for three wise men running down i-95 looking for the cow. >> reporter: we have light snow that came through overnight. storm tracker 6 live double scan there's additional snow shower activity. a closer look shows you down in chester and pushing toward philadelphia is highlighting in the lighter shade of gray. north and west of reading, the brighter band we're looking at right now is actually a little steady snow putting down additional accumulation. in general, though, we're looking at one to two inches on the ground enough to make the roads messy. this is pushing toward the east. as we look outside, we have the airport, and snow done maybe light snow showers still to go over the next hour or so. things getting better anyway in and around philadelphia. the temperature right now is 30 degrees in philadelphia. still below freezing, so cold enough to support the snow on

untreated surfaces like sidewalks and side streets and the main roads have not been totally cleaned off. winds are calm, so it's not as cold and uncomfortable as yesterday. 23 in allentown, 25 in reading. 31 in wilmington, 25 in trenton. in all these areas and across the river in parts of immediate south jersey across the river in south jersey and wilmington. we have numbers below freezing. millville, 35 degrees. 40 in came -- cape may. down in south jersey you didn't get as much about a coating to an inch. i was able to put together early forecasts of snow in philadelphia, an inch 1/2, same story in chadds ford, delaware county. up in the lehigh valley airport, 8 inches of snow. graterford 1.8 inches.

and downing down 1.8. this will fall apart quickly by the end of the rush hour i think we're poking holes in the clouds. later today we're expecting the return of sunshine. as we head out early this morning it's below freezing, 8:00 a.m., 30 degrees, you might have slick spots on side streets and secondaries, i hope by 8:00 a.m. they will have the main roads salted and plowed. 33 degrees by 10:00 a.m. 35 by noon even we are melting the stuff. sliding back to 31 by 6:00 a.m. 37 in allentown, 38 in philadelphia and millville. 39 in cape may. tomorrow a system gets past us a colder shot of air comes back, 34 tomorrow. mostly cloudy in the afternoon there could be a flurry or brief snow shower. here's the exclusive accuweather seven-day forecast, today's high, 38. the snow showers wrapping up

highways were wet, the ramps were slippery, the streets i live on hadn't been touch there's a coding of snow -- coating of snow on it. we are finding accidents as more and more people hit the roads. i-95 southwest philadelphia, southbound side there's a white sedan facing the wrong way, spun out and slid facing the wrong way in the southbound lanes heading toward the airport by enterprise avenue. police are on the scene. traffic is getting by okay. as i say in these events you have to drop the speeds in the morning on this. boulevard extension, southbound side heading toward the schuylkill expressway it's wet. if i was going to exit on ridge avenue or the off-ramp on the schuylkill expressway, slow down in advance of the ramps, because the ramps are partially snow covered and slushy and slippery salter. city avenue, this is how david

toward delaware there are speed restrictions in effect. most of the regional rail lines are on time for the first trains out of the gate. most of them have not run yet, but when they do, looks like they will be on time. we'll give you delays as they pop up as the morning progresses. >> reporter: we have a focal point of snow from reading up toward pottstown. this is pushing toward the east, in easton, or allentown or doylestown you might get clipped by this as it pushes east in the next hour or so. close to philadelphia it's much lighter snow. one to two inches on the ground. not all road surfaces have been treated, so you might have slick conditions early on. that's aided and abetted because we have below freezing temperatures in philadelphia. on the el stop this morning and
