turn yourself in. you are not going to get away with it. >> tonight the search is on for the driver who ran down a beloved bartender from delaware county. ronald williams was killed coming home from work. saturday night, i'm walter perez. the big story on "action news" is the search for the driver who cut short the life of a working father of two. williams was run down and the driver kept going. trish harper joins us with details. >> walter, it happened as the victim was getting on to i-95 south this morning. family members are shocked and want to know who is responsible. >> i don't understand how someone can hit someone and keep ongoing. >> many in chester wonder the same thing as 46-year-old ronald

williams known as peabody was struck and hit by a hit and run driver. friends outside the american legion where williams was a bartender. williams stopped his vehicle for an unknown reason getting on to i-95 and chester when a car hit him and kept going. williams was pronounced dead on the scene by the medical examiner. police are looking for a volkswagen like this one with front end dam. regulars knew him well. >> everybody where you go, peek people are drinking for him. it's sad. >> family members hope for closure and an arrest. >> he didn't deserve what happened to him.

the person that did it, they know what they did. they should turn themselves in. >> many people we talked to described him as a hard-working father with a larger than life personality y.4848401000 for information. >> channel6 "action news." >> thank you, trish. >> police in philadelphia are investigating a murder. investigators were called to the 4600 block of benner street just before 7:30 where they found a man in his 30s shot in the chest and armed taken to hospital and pronounced dead a short time later. so far no arrests have been made. >> a man stole from sacred heart church december 7th. during a fundraiser. this is video of him walking away from the scene.

if you recognize the person, please contact police. >> investigators say 30-year-old adam radcliff was shot and killed attempting to flee police during a traffic stop. he was witnessed driving erratically. when testify trooper approach, radcliff took off, dragging the trooper. the trooper opened fire. >> with a week until christmas, officials from the salvation army of eastern pn opinion and delaware say donations to the red kettle campaign are down 50% from last year.
