pennsylvania state senator daylin leach over sexual harassment allegations. now, the governor is calling for him to step down. this amid mounting accusations of suggestive behavior and unwanted touching. sunday night, and the big story on action news is developing. democrat daylin leach whose strict encompasses much of montgomery county is the latest lawmaker ensnared in allegations of improper behavior. >> he spoke out today denying wrong doing. christie ileto joinss live with details. christie. >> reporter: walter, governor wolf called the allegations disturbing and also called for leach to not only step down, suspend his congressional campaign. that being said, according to his facebook page, leach is adamant that these allegations are simply false. considered a progressive and an advocate f women's rights, state senator daylin leach finds himself the latest politician at the center of aexual misconduct firestorm.

several women, most of them former staffers have been accused him of is a making sexually-charged comments and inappropriate touching. one claiming he a grabbed her thigh while offering to help her find a job. hen his facebook page, saying the allegedn't hap, innt unintentionally touched them inappropras far as, anyone who knows me kno i'm humorous guy. but nits his human is not pure. and names aubrey montgomery in his post saying she's offended and worked for him ten years ago. we reached out to montgomery, but she declined to comment. governor wolf is calling the behavior disturbing, unacceptable and that he should resign. the democrats say the statements must be taken seriously and investigated promptly. >>t's not right. from this area, people expect better. >> supposed to b a leader. >> you just don't know who to

trust anymore. that's what's wrong. you don't know who to trust. >> i'm going to take this news with a grain of salt. it's such a wave right now. that some allegations, you got to think sometimes they can't be true. how many times did it really happen? >> reporter: again, these are just allegations. and his supporters are asking that people don't jump to conclusions before all of the facts have been presented. live, i'll you will i'll, channel 6, action news. >> thank you, following developing news out of atlanta. a power outage at the busiest airport in t world caused the cancellation of at least 1,000 flighting with stranding tens of thousands. and creating a ripple effect across the country. not only people stranded at the airport, but passengers already boarded on flights had to be evacuated on to the tarmac. it began to unfold at about 1:00 this afternoon when a fire broke out when a fire broke out in the bstation, knocking out power to the entire airport.

it took two hours to get the fire under control. and tonight officials estimate thatbout 30,000 people at the airport were impacted by the outage. atlanta's mayor says power could be back online around midnight. and for that, welfare an impact in our nation here as well. action news reporter annie mccormack at the airport with that part of our coverage. annie. >> reporter: walter, tha right. they're hoping for mitt night for then atlanta. it is slowly comingn right now. but it is having an impact for some travelers here at philadelphia international airport. we're told by a spokesperson here that tonight were canced. about 20 flights. and now the airlines have to rebook the passenger on one of the busiest travel weeks of the year. >> yeah. sleep here in the lobby to get on the flight tomorrow. >> reporter: the power outage happened around 1:00 in the afternoon sunday. rick i traveling home to

georgia from philadelphia and had no idea until after he arrived here. >> watching the eagles game, and, you know, i got my pre-board flight information. and all that. so it was kind of strange. i guess the airlines didn't shut down. waited as long as they could. >> reporter: he rebooked on an early morning flight. some fliers may have to wait going into one of the biggest travel times of the year. many had connections in atlanta. delaware college trying to get hom to brazil for the holidays. >> i got here and found out. didn't really help me. i had to g to united and they were more useful there. >> reporter: fliers are trying to be patient, hoping cancellations don't go into tomorrow. >> we're overnighting and then talk to people and looked at the news. and then i walked back from the hotel just now. and i just spent 30 minutes wit. and we were able to rebook.

>> reporter: and many of those flights on delta, which has their hub in atlanta. delta just tweeting out within the hour that they approximate that about 300 flights will be canceled tomorrow. the philadelphia international airport is urging all fliers to check with their airlines before e thing that theuse, again, it power will be restored by midnight. they want to make sure that passengers have a flight to board tomorrow before they come here. reporting live at philadelphia international airport, annie mccormack. back to you. >> quite a mess. thank you, annie. turning to accuweather now. a mild night out there. but some areas could see mixed precipitation overnight. mcgee h the first check of the accuweather forecast. >> yes, sarah, we had spotty precipitation overnight tonight. but there's not a whole lot to the moisture moving through. we did have some rain earlier tonight across the ohio valley with snow, mixed precip and a

lot more rain to the south and west. working into the region, a lot of that rain and moisture evaporating into the delaware and lehigh valleys. storm tracker 6. spotty drizzle to the south of philadelphia, light rain there in smyrna. but a lot of this working its -- not working its way down to the surface. the numbers, after a high in philadelphia of 44, 38 in the city, 34 in allentown, 34 degrees in reading. 27 degrees up in the poconos. so north of i-78, numbers are cold enough to support the mixed precipitation, i's likely overnight. what we can expect, spotty drizzle for the city and areas north and east. freezing drizzle north and west. and if you have that, watching out forcy spots. but little to no accumulation with this. that will be on the way tonight. the big headline is the warmup. more details with the full and exclusive accuweather forecast. >> thank you. be sure to tune into action news

starting at 4:30 forhe latest accuweather forecast as well as the traffic and transit information you node to start your day. >> robbery is the suspected motive behind a shooting at fdr park in south philadelphia. investigators say someone fired at the victim as he tried to sell sneakers near the tennis courts. the search is on for at least two suspects. victim was last reported in critical condition. a postal worker is recovering from a crash in new castle, delaware, that happened at about 4:00 this afternoon when her truck ran off the road. bystanders came to the rescue since she was trapped in the vehicle for a short time. this happened on the 3000 block of stoney battery road. medics treated the postal driver at the scene. moving on to sports, and the eagles pulled out a big win today, but this game was a lot closer than expected against the lowly giants. >> joseph here now with all t highlights. quite a few highlights.

a final salute today for the only fire fighter who died battling california's raging wildfires. the solemn procession for cory iverson included his colleagues, friends and family and strangers from ventura to san diego to pay tribute to the 32-year-old. he leaves behind a pregnant wife and young daughter. and as the backdrop for the somber affair, fire still burned in the hillside.the danger is n. this is the thomas fire and has now grown to the third largest in california history. it's the size of new york city and has been burning for nearly two weeks. 750 homes have been destroyed and another 18,000 are still threatened. the dry santa ana winds fuel the

inferno. they died down a bit today, but it's short-lived. they're expected to return on wednesday. president trump said today that senator john mccain has been released from the hospital and returning home to arizona. late tonight mccain's office confirmed that the senator is hoping to return to washington senator mccain had been hospitalized for a viral infection. his doctors say he is responding well to cancer treatment. trump said he spoke to mccabe's wife, cindy, and wished the couple well. he was hospitalized at walter reed medical center in maryland. trump said senator mccain is going through a very tough time. president trump says he has no plans to fire special counsel robert mueller even as other republicans attack the credibility of the russia investigation. the new controversy is over emails. trump transition team lawyers say tens of thousands of emails from the president's inner circle were obtained illegally.

meteorologist melissa mcgee. she told me she wodi didn't lisd reason. a nice warmup this week. >> temperatures mild and above average. a nice treat headed our way. show you what's going on outside. sky 6 live, hd from the temple university camera. mostly cloudy, quiet. a little cool in some spots. sky 6 live in hd. looking at the ben franklin bridge, calm conditions across much of the delaware and lehigh valleys after a high today in the city of 44. tracking patchy fog as we go throughout the overnight hours, and in some spots, reduce the visibility. spotty precipitation is likely overnight tonight. some areas north and west could find mixed precip. maybe light rain and drizzle for the city, points to the south and east. but the big weather headline, warming up with numbers above average. right now, 38. 35 in reading, 40 in wilmington. 39 in dover, cape may, 43. here is whatst going on,

satellite 6 along with action radar. a lot of moisture earlier tonight across the great lakes and the ohio valley. but as this moisture worked its way eastward, a lot of that precipitation continued to evaporate. light precipitation across the region and a lot of that moisture not working its way down to the surface. most spots should stay dry tonight. so for the next 12 hours with lots of clouds, patchy drizzle overhead. otherwise, drop down to 29 in the suburbs and 34 degrees in philadelphia for the overnight low. here is future tracker 6. by midnight, notice light precipitation to the city. north and west, numbers are cold enough to support mixed precipitation, or even wet snowfall, really north of i-78, find a little bit of that activity. by 3:00 in the morning, moisture off to the north and east. and just in time for the commute, 6:00 in the morning, all autoof u out of here and we have clouds and filtered sunshine going through the rest of monday afternoon. here is the setup across our

region. we have some cold air locked in place across much of the great lakes and the ohio valley as we have this dip in the jet stream. even across much of the eastern half of the u.s. into early this week, the jet stream lifts off to the north. as it lifts northward, allows for milder air to the south to work its way into the many of the eastern half of the u.s. temperatures tomorrow, despite a fairly cloudy day, above average. and same thing holds true into tuesday. here is the exclusive accuweather seven day forecast. cloudy tomorrow. it will be mild, a high temperature up to 47. we will have to watch some of the locations north and west of philadelphia with some cold air locked in at the surface. those numbers there might only stay in the 30s, otherwise south and east, it will stay mild. sunny and warmer by tuesday. up to 56 for a high. breezy and cooler on wednesday, good looking day. 45, 42 on thursday. seasonal bit afternoon. cloudy and rain developing on friday. a high temperature of 52. mild on saturday with showers possible.
