is a big question. what caused a new seattle to portland train to jump the tracks today sending the cars to the highway below killing three and injuring a hundred more. marcy gonzales is live near the crash. >> good evening. part of the highway is still shut down. you can see bumper to bumper traffic on i-5 as investigators work into the night investigating. >> the car dangling is part of the aftermath of the crash that killed three people and injured more than a hundred others. >> emergency, we are on the ground. >> all but one of the cars careening off of the track in washington, several crashing on to the highway below during the morning rush. >> things started tipping over and everything went dark.

>> a high speed flight from police ended in deadly fashion in tabernacle new jersey when a stolen suv crashed into a utility pole. two men and a pregnant teenager were killed. dan, what is the latest information about this ill fated escape attempt? >> we have learned from multiple forces that state troopers were in pursuit when the fatal crash happened. >> this is what was left of the gmc investigators reported stolen. two adult males and a young woman we have been told is pregnant. it was around noon when tp vehicle was pursued traveling 12th in tabernacle over 80 miles per hour when the driver lost

tomorrow. cecily tynan is live outside the first look at the forecast, cecily. what's the story? >> jim, temperatures are trending up from the beginning of the weekend. the high 42. yesterday, 44. today we hit 50-degrees, six degrees above normal. the warmest day in nearly two weeks. during that time, 7.7-inches of snow in philadelphia. that snow has been melting. even now step outside, not that cool. 47 in philadelphia. there's no cold air across the lower 48. you have to go north to alaska where the bitter cold air is. that's arriving for the midwest for the plains on christmas day, but until then, we definitely stay on the mild side. even milder tomorrow, temperatures rising up to the mid 50s, 12-degrees above normal as we head toward the beginning
