christmas day forecast, it is a mixed bag, um. >> yes, that is right, it changes as we get throughout the rest of tonight and early christmas morning but for christmas day, we're looking good-bye the time we wake up and unwrap these gift and presents. currently in philadelphia we are coming in at 41. thirty-eight allentown. twenty-nine in the poconos. forty in millville. 41 degrees in dover. wind chill to factor in. feels like 34 in the city. teens in the poconos. forty-one in cape may. 35 degrees down in dover. so for the rest of this evening, for the christmas eve forecast, mostly cloudy, we're tracking rain, out in the city , points to the south, so right now we are coming in at 41 but for midnight mass and services then we have a temperature coming in at 43. a winter weather advisory has them posted for berks, lehigh northampton counties up to the poconos. this goes into effect about an hour lasting from 7:00 a.m. on monday because we are tracking wintry precipitation for some, the rest just liquid

what you need christmas is here. >> reporter: traffic was conn guessed if in the final hours we didn't see santa claus here but there were reindeer and we saw plenty of santa clauses helpers making sure that they found those hard to find pieces, to complete very special presents. >> we went to anywhere that sells legos, they have the sets, but they don't have them necessity. we were forced to come here so santa can complete the set. >> reporter: worth the trip. >> information her, yes. yes. not for me but the traffic is crazy. >> reporter: back out here live those shoppers walking out and you can see two beautiful reindeer right outside of the newman marcus. i can tell you santa will not miss the philadelphia area, it was beautiful, glistening, red lights, covered reindeer, like that over here, to catch his eye. now the mall will reopen, on december 26th at 8:00 a.m. there are some roles tar rants

that are actually still open tonight, the waitress and waiters came out and said they have reservations around 7:45 and 8:00. they will stay opened until people stop coming in tonight. reporting live at king of prussia mall, annie mccormack for channel six "action news". >> santa claus loves king of prussia, i know that for a fact, thanks, annie. >> reporter: in addition, we found other people picking up last minute items for christmas feast. >> bob brooks hit one of the busiest spots a supermarket and liquor store in cherry hill new jersey. >> reporter: we got to the wegmans at 9:00 o'clock sharp. video speaks for itself. >> it was pack, last minute shopping in full swing. and then around noon time it was even busier, the parking lot packed with just about full capacity, and now some shoppers like daylen, waited until the last minute for no specific reason. >> i guess because that is what everybody else is doing.

>> reporter: but he did plan quite the feast for tonight and tomorrow so we will give him some credit. >> tonight we have a couple different meats here, i got the brisket, which i'm very excited about, i have a christmas ham for tomorrow and then tonight we will be cooking up, just a little leg of lamb. >> reporter: fran, of cherry hill had no choice but to grab her little helpers still in the pajamas and get it done today. >> since i'm a nurse so i was working, the past few days, so , we have to do things when we can. >> reporter: today they are here. >> yes. >> reporter: we spoke to patty depoland to shop today to make sure they are spread was the best that could be. >> just to make sure everything is fresh everything is fresh. >> reporter: finally we spoke to mother and daughter mary and sarah grill epitome of the holidays, they don't live close anymore and shopping at wegmans today is one of the moments that they will cherish , because they are alone, the rest of the family is at home. >> it is awesome, great, simply because we lived close for a while.

as bishop frances celebrated christmas eve mass, one of the many services taking place this evening, throughout the world. and the one last christmas important part of christmas, what we're talking about here is football. jeff skversky has check of the sports and eagles playing tomorrow night. >> second time ever in christmas. other time they won. hopefully another w, tomorrow, and they clinch, home field advantage throughout the playoffs. count down to christmas is on. eagles can, deliver home field advantage for the first time since their 2004 super bowl season. all they win is a win over raiders on monday night football. eagles look to lock up number one seed in the conference with a w and start 13-two for the first time in 13 years. the link will be electric, monday night, for their first home game in nearly a month. >> we will go out there and just to go get this win and clinch what we want to clinch. obviously these guys are a tough opponent. we have to make sure that we

discover items from the sanctuary, had been damage and then stolen just before christmas eve services. >> "action news" reporter christie ileto joins us live from the 2100 block of diamond street with the story, christie. >> reporter: walter, church leaders estimate $10,000 worth of items were stolen and, they were broke into the church through the side door. >> they broke in through this part here, they used a crowbar >> reporter: with the intent to steel a real life holiday grinch set his eyes on the jones tabernacle ame church in north philadelphia they took almost everything but the church. >> wow. >> from the pulpit. >> reporter: including a pair of antique chairs, candles and stained glass windows. justin heyward retraced the steps. >> just like this, the doors that was up here and gifts like this they ripped them off the hinges. >> reporter: damage to the church and estimated value of what was stolen is believed to surpass ten grand. >> if you are willing to steel from god you have no conscious

they are looking for 21 year-old jabir kennedy who lives in the 6600 block of dorell street, the same place where shooting took place thursday night. officers say they were called about a woman who was allegedly assault by her children's father earlier in the day. she went back to the house, and that is when a fight broke out. kennedy reportedly went onto shoot all four men, one of this was killed, other remains hospitalized. kennedy is considered armed and dangerous. some children who really need a lift this holiday season received a very special visit to day. santa claus was at st. christopher's hospital for children in philadelphia's hunting park section, this little girl was all smiles, as she sat on the big guy's lap. santa didn't make her way until christmas morning to open gifts he gave them to her on the spot, she received a puzzle, and abc's and immediately began, singing to santa. and this little girl spotted santa in north fail and mad a mad dash. she gave him a huge hug. in return he gave her an early
