because this is a wedding where a number of women in peru are marrying trees at this park in the city. >> let's all marry a tree. it's the best we're going to get. >> i'm a few steps away from it. >> this whole thing was orchestrated by artist richard torres, and this whole thing is actually a symbolic event called marry a tree and save it. his attempt to actually promote the message of peace and also the efforts against felling trees. he feels trees in latin america are being felled at an alarming rate and he wants to protect them. this obviously is pretty eccentric of an event and it is pretty funny because it's unique. he officiated the wedding and peru is not the only country he wants to do this in. he's planning to hit several other countries to continue to promote this message. most of these women according to
