just the general story? >> well, "mudbound" about two families, a black family, a white family, who end up living in theis the jim crow era. and they end up learning how to love each other an learning t and they have to h through tria tribulations. and it is about w men went off to war and they fought as free men. but they came back to the southernlaces and still being called n-word and being lynched. it's about a silver no matter how bad someone treats you or try to take something away from you, if you use your heart, you can walk away live in the situation with love. so love is the silver lining. it is about relationships and friendships and it is really a love story. these movies don't ever get a happy ending. i don't want to -- i just told it. [ applause ] on instagram of girls showing us globally how they see the world. and i was looking at all these images and i was thinking, if there is any doubt that women and girls have an incredible

[ laughter ] >> and there's nothing wrong that and that's important to remember. >> tracee: i it's about the equality of women. >> we have to create bridges especially now more than ever. to connect each other. we are so disenfranchised and it is men and women. and at some point we have to understand each other better so we can move forward without all of these issues coming into play. in the workplace. i just want to say that one of the biggest questions men are asking me now is what does consent look like? okay? seriously. in all seriousness, i have, two men i know who have been publicly accused of rape in the last week.

i've spoken to both of them and i've had very honest conversations with them. both of them maintained that those experiences were consensual. and i said, how is it possible that you believe this was consensual, and she has filed a rape case against you? how far away are we? men are asking frequently, what does consent really look like? can i do this? can i do that? >> tracee: one of the things i like to think to myself, how would you greet another man? >> you would not be -- well, maybe you would be touching his butt, i don't know. >> tracee: i don't see larry, larry david and jerry seinfeld pressing their bodies up against each other when giving a greeding. >> no.sat next to larry david at dinner not long ago. i was so excited. >> tracee: he sat down next to me on a flight and i was like, oh! >> okay, oh my god. i love him. and it was just when the harvey weinstein, the first wave of stories had broken. i was kind of joking with him. but not really. and i said are you nervous to sit next to me?
