we'll get relief, temperatures are expected to stick around for the next seven to ten days. a man from california has been arrested for making a prank call that led to a man in a different state being shot by police. >> 25-year-old harper better easy said he shot his father. when police responded they ordered andrew finch to lower his hands. when he moved, they shot him. better easy called in a phony bomb threat and served two years. >> two men have been arrested for the murder of two women and two children in new york. justin man and james white are accused of killing brandy mills and shan ta myers as well as her five and 11-year-old children. the four were found dead in their basement apartment

into tomorrow and new year's day. one thing about the city, it's windier because of the wind tunnel effect as the wind wraps around the tall buildings and narrow streets. in philadelphia, 12 miles per hour, 13 in reading, 8 in allentown, 14 miles per hour in wilmington. these are sustained not gusts. southeastern pennsylvania, the poconos, six below zero, ten in trenton, 15 in cape may. satellite and radar, snow from earlier, the clear sky is going to dominate. over all a decent amount of sunshine to say goodbye to 2017.

air temperatures, 7-7, stays in the teens most of the time. 20 maybe 21 during the middle part of the afternoon. air temperatures don't matter in this type of pattern. zero to five above. as we look at the afternoon tomorrow, six philadelphia, one in allentown, one in reading, five in wilmington, 12 below in the poconos, 20 or so below monday morning on future tracker. the rest of the region monday morning, below zero and only in the single digits going into monday afternoon. it's not until tuesday that we break out of this really harsh wind. 1:00 tomorrow an eagle game at the lake creating temperatures of five degrees. the mum ir's parade gusts to

30 miles per hour even for the parade on monday. windchills either side of zero throughout the parade with air temperatures in the teens start to finish. the seven-day forecast, 20 for the high tomorrow, harsh out there. the core of the cold drops in new year's eve night with a high of 19 and full sunshine. a tad warmer tuesday, 26-degrees. we try to approach the freezing point for a time being wednesday before a large storm develops just offshore. how close is up in the air. latest models keep it offshore. that pulls down intense arctic air by friday. the coldest of the stretch, 17-degrees for friday for the high. bitter here saturday, a week from now 22-degrees. quite the stretch as we end one year and go into the next. >> don't fool around.
