of were douglas county colorado. a sheriff's deputy is dead after shots rang out. according to the sheriff's office, the deputies to a domestic disturbance call. two unidentified civilians were also shot by the suspect. the suspect is believed to be dead. again, five deputies have been shot, one killed and two civilians shot in douglas county can colorado. officials set up an emergency shelter for those displaced by the investigation. also brake, this noon, a man under arrest after police discovered weapons in his hotel room in houston texas just hours before the hotel is set to host the new year's eve celebration. according to ktrk, investigators responded to the hyatt regency for the report of an erratic and belligerent man. they found a number of weapons in the man's room and in his

streets and service lines broken. we don't turn every water main off that is broken or that could be broken. because if we did that, we'd be turning off a lot of homes. >> reporter: at this point, it will take several hours likely of the day the 25 homes currently without as much as will have their service back on. but the water department is doing the best they can, a lot of times leaks like this one will not be service the hours or days later. dozens of people out of their apartment and into the bitter cold in delaware county overnight. police say it happened at the forest creek apartment on the 300 block of north front in yaedon. a resident reported hearing an explosion and noticed smoke. investigators say a transformer box on the front of one of the buildings caused the fire. the building was evacuated and

power was cut off. the reds cross tells action news people in 84 units had to evacuate. the residents waited in the cold until busses arrived. he takes them to yaedon borrow hall. another fear this one in philadelphia's kensington section set up a 5-year-old boy to the hospital. firefighters were called to the 2700 block of cstreet just aged 3:00 this morning. there, they shooting from the first and seco floor of the house. officials say several people inside the building were forced to jump to safety. the boy was taken to st. christopher's for minor burns and the red cross is assisting three people displayed. an update to the story we've been following all weekend out of collingswood camden county. man has been charged in the stabbing death of two women and the attempted murder of a third. investigators say 48-year-old colleen rent now and alicia mccloudiski were found around 5:00 last night. pronounced

residents. and our streak of below freezing temperatures continues. taking a live look at spring mountain and what we can expect for the holiday and how cold it will get >> first we continue to follow breaking news out of douglas county colorado where five deputies shot. and one has died. according to the sheriff's office, deputies were responding to a domestic disturbance call at an apartment complex, at some point, a suspect began shooting at the deputies, the sheriff's office says two unidentified civilians were also shot by the suspect. the suspect is believed to be dead and no longer a threat. no other information has been released at this time. back here in our area, the snow is gone but the cold is going to be a bitter start to the new year, meteorologist chris sowers with a look at the weekend forecast this new year's eve. >> reporter: not much relief, temperatures if i did the math correctly. it's been below freezing approximately 115 straight hours

warming center. 43-year-old man was rescued from the second floor of a burning building in the overbrook section of philadelphia early this morning. crews were called to the blaze at the intersection and lansdowne, firefighters used ladders to reach the man trapped in one of the bedrooms. the man was taken to an area hospital with severe smoke inhalation, and last check, he was in critical condition. a firefighter was also hospitalized with an injured leg after he slipped on ice. crews responded to a blaze in philadelphia's hunting park section. firefighters responded to the scene on the 2300 block of west huntingdon park before midnight, the structure was formally the bud company building used as a transportation manufacturing plant, no injuries. a man in critical condition after bee shot multiple times in the strawberry mansion section of philadelphia. the unidentified man was dropped off at temple university hospital around 4:00 this morning with to gunshot wounds
