authorities are looking for the men responsible for a violent bar fight in bucks county. >> and also police are investigating a serious head-on collision in south jersey. the big story on "action news" is day seven of a deep freeze the heavy winter gear is sure getting a workout. right now temperatures are in the teens or worse. all bundled up the only way to step outside. and amid this prolonged period of bitter cold we may get a brush of a nor'easter. david murphy has the first check of the forecast. >> no nor'easter just yet sunshine and cloud cover off to the forth and west. i think we are looking at mostly sun today. 22 in philadelphia and 21 in allentown and 22 in trenton and 24 in wilmington and they are already up above yesterday's highs and still bitter and cold. and winds running in the teens across the region your windchills are still rather severe. 8 degrees is what it feels like

in philadelphia. 8 in allentown and 7 in reading and 12 degree windchill in wilmington and 10 in millville. as we go through the afternoon these numbers won't change all that much. s a day to get out in a lot of layers and cover up as much skin as you can. as we go through afternoon and evening we do stay cold. 24 degrees on this model. i'll go 26 and down to 20 by 10:00 and down into the teens after that. winds die down after dark and still on the raw side and windchills are not letting up all that much. we start out at negative 2 at 8:00 and tolding at 11 or 12 at 2:00. and potentially gusting as high as 20 to 25 at times this afternoon. in terms of our approaching coastal storm. it looks to be getting closer to us and building in intensity during the day tomorrow and by the time we get into 8:00

>> reporter: rick, we'll give you a live look at where the break occurred and the tremendous mess that it left behind and it happened on this stretch buckling the road and compromising the power line there and there say gas main nearby. the water pressure is reduced for more than a 1,000 customers and power is out. and not a good way to start the new year. this 30 inch water main break is creating major issues across this stretch of montgomery county. it was at 6:00 this morning when the aqua water company received calls about water service issues in lower merion and bryn mawr and conshohocken and cheltenham township. but among the hardest hit is the somerwood corporate building in west conshohocken because the building is located about 90

feet downstream from where the main ruptured. it flooded egg here out the building and the back door and they don't have it off yet they are working on it. >> the crews are able to shut down the main that was spewing tremendous amounts of water from the broken pipe but it will be a while before things get back to normal. >> they will run off a generator around the clock to get it fixed. >> it will probably take them a couple of days. >> back out live on the scene. aqua water officials say they are still investigating assuming of course that the cold weather was a factor here. and that water pressure is fully restored to everybody by 6:00 tomorrow morning. but no word at this hour, how long it will be before balligomingo road reopens. walter perez, channel 6 "action news." >> thank you. another water main break has damaged homes and at least one car here in northeast

philadelphia. the pipe burst overnight on the 1200 block sending water into nearby homes, 125 properties have lost water service. and one resident says he has to gut his basement because of the damage. crews from the water department are making repairs and expect to be finished by the end. day. chopper 6 hd through over gloucester county that a pickup truck and truck collided. we are work to find out how many people were hurt and the extent of their injuries. a 24-year-old man is in critical condition after being shot near the temple university campus. the victim was shot here at 2:00 a.m. on the 1800 block of west norris street and temple university police and philadelphia police responded to the scene and they are industrial trying to identify a suspect and possible motive. gun fire broke out in a

crews are on the scene of another massive apartment fire in new york city. at least 16 people were hurt and four of them seriously when the blaze broke out today in a bronx apartment building. there were 12 apartments inside of the building and it appears to have started if a first floor furniture store. this a week after a deadly fire in the bronx. the worst to hit the city in 35

years. and scary moments at a college football game when an rv used for tailgating burst into flames. it belongs to an alabama fan in town for the sugar bowl. the fire department got on the scene and got things under control and nobody was hurt and despite the loss of her rv the woman went to the game and enjoyed an alabama victory. members of the coast guard happened to be in the right place when a car plunged off the marina in panama city, florida. they witnessed the man plunging into the water and they broke the windows and pulled the driver to safety. he was take tonight the hospital and is expected to make a full recovery. >> headaches for air travelers trying to get through customs, they experienced a computer problem that started at 7:30 and lasted two hours.

and the winds have picked up a bit at 17 miles per hour. >> and combine that and get a windchill of just 8 and a couple of suburbs up north worse than that. temperatures in the region 21 in allentown and 24 in wilmington and 28 in cape may. and the wind gusting as high as 20 miles per hour or so. we have windchills of 2 in lancaster coined and 8 in philadelphia. and 11 inille and 12 in wilmington and cape may and 10 in trenton not much better. lots of sunshine and clouds are digging in in the lehigh valley. and generally mostly sunny skies today and that includes the lehigh valley to berks county and mainly sunny skies and clouds and bitter cold and 24 and single digit windchills today. down the shore better but not by much. windchills in the double digits more comfortable in the ocean. in philadelphia plenty of sunshine brisk and cold a high

of 26 degrees and the winds gusting as high as 20 miles per hour. out of the west windchills up to 10 or 11 degrees or so but obviously uncomfortable. the winds fall back and clear and bitter. overnight low 14 in philadelphia some suburbs down to 8. and tomorrow we cloud up during the day and in the evening we see the effects of an approaching nor'easter, this is one of those storms that is strong and potent and getting stronger as it gets past us but far enough off the coast we don't think it will be as impactful as some tend to be. but 7:00, 8:00 at night some snow and 11:00 tomorrow evening, we'll have something to show you with adam and cecily but not all the way to philadelphia by then. and it's the thursday morning commute we see the snow pushing back to the west and still there by 9 and the commute impacted by this will be the thursday morning commute. not a heavy snow but enough to

make roads slick and slippery for the commute period. by noon this begins to wrap off to the east and it really fall as part into the afternoon and tomorrow evening. how much snow we get largely depend on the exact track of the storm. the most likely brings it just closely enough to us to give us several inches of snow and a possible track where it's so far away and only a little snow brushing the shore and looking at everything, and putting it all together, this is more or less what we think is most likely to happen. 1 to 3 inches along the i-95 corridor and 3 to 6 in the coastal counties and northern and western suburbs, a coating to an inch. and if the track moves to the coast we'll push it back and a worst storm. if we get the track farther off to sea we'll move the numbers closer to the coast. and 1 to 3 in philadelphia is what to expect. there say range on the model for philadelphia, any way from 1
