"action news" reporter annie mccormack is live at lordes medical center in burlington county where those people were taken after the incident, anni e?

>> reporter: well, walter and sarah we have heard from burlington county prosecutor's office who said they expect to have an update soon but at this point all we know that is those two people were taken here to lordes medical center in willingboro. this is video, from earlier today, from that scene, they were just talking about. burlington city police say an accident occurred prior to the vehicle landing in that body of water but what exactly happened, what type of accident, if there was another vehicle involved, we are still waiting to hear. it happened around 1:00 this afternoon near burlington city river bank, police say two people were pulled from the river, we are hearing reports that bystanders, may have helped them, with rescue effort. of course, long with fire fighters and first responders. now police said this about the condition of the people inside the vehicle. >> do not have a status of the condition at this time, however, this obviously, with the, weather, with the conditions, it is obviously a severe event.

>> reporter: like we said we are waiting to hear from that update from the burlington county prosecutor's office likely about what led up to this, how that vehicle got, inside of the river and also an updated condition of the two people involved. for now reporting live from willingboro, annie mccormack for channel six "action news". sarah back to you. >> thank you. two people are confirmed dead following yesterday's two car collision in willingboro, burlington county. interest happened around 5:00 on route 130 near beverly rancocas road. victim's car was struck by a minivan, impact sent victim's vehicle through a guardrail and into a lake. the deceased are husband and wife robert and janet stephens of burlington township, both were in the 50's. they were pronounced dead last night at lordes medical center , the cause of the crash remains under investigation. we are ending this weekend with bone chilling temperatures which, of course, very different from the way weekend began. >> meteorologist melissa magee has a look at those, very low temperatures, melissa.

chairman of the fcc says it appears that the government of hawaii did not have reasonable safe guard in place to prevent transmission of the false alert warning of the missle strike. federal investigation is now

underway. yesterday the false alert sounded on thousands of cell phones across hawaii urging people to seek immediate shelter sending many in a panic. it took emergency officials 38 minutes to correct the false information, and they explained it happened during a shift change when a worker mistakenly pressed the wrong button. woman from texas had to improvise when chasing armed robbers from her home, surveillance video shows two intruders breaking in while woman was snapping. a short time later woman's roommate arrived home prompting the suspect to run out the front door. the commotion awoke woman who preceded to chase them, while hitting them with a belt. see right here just a second. unfortunately the robbers were able to getaway with some money, and her shoes. a grandfather in delaware is founding a unique way to help his grandson deal with autism. rich owe shawn sit built a machine that gives hugs for his daughter's 22-year old son who is autistic. machine provides pressure on the body like a hug to help

powe your photos on social media using the #six abc action. so to other "news 3" people had to jump for their lives during a fire in camden county, new jersey. fire fighters responded to the unit block of lennox street in winslow township around 6:40 this morning when two occupy and two vacant homes caught fire. two adults and a 15 year-old jumped to safety but they were not hurt. a dog and a cat were also rescued from the flames, and investigators are working to figure out what started the fire. fire fighters were called to this fire that broke out in the condo is above a hotel near rittenhouse square. fire was reported on the 21st floor, inside of the warwick hotel, on the 200 block of south 17th street around 7:00 this morning. the fire was placed under control in about a half an hour, no injuries were record. so far, no arrests have been made in connection to a shooting behind a salvation army building in west philadelphia. police were called to 55th and arch street at about 10:30 last night. there they found a man with

tonight we know that one person who was inside of that vehicle has died. >> "action news" reporter anni e mccormack is live in willingboro with the very latest, annie? >> reporter: walter and sarah we just got an update from the burlington county prosecutor's office telling thaws one woman is dead and one man still remains in the hospital, both of them were inside that vehicle, that ended up in the delaware river, this afternoon now this is video from the scene, where we're told that according to the burlington county prosecutor's office that the vehicle was speeding down river bank road, it crashed into a parked car and then went over river recall nose first in the delaware river. it all happened around 12:30 this afternoon near burlington city river bank. a spokesperson tells us that the passenger, a woman was transported to lordes medical center here in willingboro and pronounced dead. it appears that the driver initially fled but was later located and then taken to the

hospital as well. we are hearing report that bystanders may have helped with rescue efforts, temperatures in the delaware river today were in the lower 30's. new back out here live we are told by prosecutor's office that this is still developing, this is still very early in the investigation and they are trying to piece together exactly what happened. no charges are filed at this time, and they are waiting to give us an update on the person's condition, injured person, who still remains in the hospital at this hour. reporting live from willingboro, annie mccormack for channel six "action news". walter and sarah back to you. >> thank you. two people are confirmed dead following yesterday's two car collision in willingboro, burlington county. it happened at 5:00 on route 130 near beverly ran coke as you road. victim's car was struck, by a minivan, impact sent victim's car through a guardrail and into the lake. the deceased husband and wife robert and jan stephens of burlington township both in their 50's. they were pronounced dead at lordes medical center.

we have an update about a story we brought to you an hour ago, tyshawn mccans has been found. his family reported him missing when he didn't return last night, he was located this evening, police have not said where or how he was found three people had to jump for their lives during a fire in camden county, new jersey. fire fighters responded to the unit block of len knocks street in winslow township at

6:40 where two occupied and two vacant homes were on fire. two adults and a 15 year-old jumped to safety, they were not hurt, a dog and cat were also rescued from the blaze, and investigators are working to figure out what started this fire. and fire fighters were called to the high rise in the rittenhouse square section of philadelphia. the fire was reported on the 21st floor, inside of the warwick hotel, on the 200 block of south 17th street, around 7:00 this morning. fire fighters were called into help bring fire under control, no injuries were reported. more information on the shooting involving philadelphia highway patrol officers last night, it started with a traffic stop, when officers say they saw a vehicle traveling the wrong way on heart lane in kensington. one officer talked to the driver, the other officer spoke to the passenger, who noticed a gun concealed in the passenger's 22-year old, in his waist band, the suspect was asked to get out of the vehicle and accused of trying to pull a weapon from the

waist band before running out of the car. officials say one patrolman and third responding officer shot at the suspect. he is in critical condition. a weapon was recovered from the scene. the driver in this incident was not charged with any offense. dozens of organizations, in the philadelphia area are celebrating the life and legacy of doctor martin luther king junior, the day before the actual holiday, monk them chosen 300 ministries right there in west philadelphia the organization hosted a morning worship services and lunch for those in need. ministry's located on the 3900 block of lancaster avenue in the exact location, where 10,000 people, gathered, and doctor king visited back in 1955, and was part of the historic freedom tour. writings of doctor king are being revisited at historic eastern state penitentiary. organizers are leading visitors through readings of the letters written by the civil rights icon, doctor king were them while jailed in birmingham alabama in 1963, historic images of doctor king are also on display, this
