seeing clouds, everybody else mainly clear conditions this morning perhaps a couple of cirrus clouds from time to time. by afternoon whatever cloud cover you're seeing it will thin out and promising to be a nice looking day. mostly sunny and mild, 56 degrees is the forecasted high. the only issue out here today, later on as we start to moderate, the winds will pick up out of the west/southwest 20 miles per hour. even though we're forecasting 56 it will feel like the 40s with the breeze. hour by hour we go with the windchill tractor. 1:00 p.m., 45. 3:00 p.m., 49. 5:00 p.m., 45 degrees. forecasting 56, but with the wind it will feel like the 40s. looking ahead it's a mild weekend overall, 50s today and tomorrow, so nice and comfortable for the eagles game tomorrow, but we're tracking wet weather monday night into tuesday. i'll be back along in just a few minutes, i'll have the details for you in the exclusive accuweather seven-day forecast. guys? >> all right, chris we look

presidency and the democrats want to give me a nice present. he tweeted democrats are far more concerned with illegal immigrants than they are with our great military or safety at our dangerous southern border. they could have made a deal, but decided to play shut down politics instead. abc's maggie ruhle has more on the shut down. >> reporter: the government is shut down and both sides are taking shots. >> the blame should crash entirely on president trump's shoulders. this will be called the trump shut down. >> what we've just witnessed on the floor, was a cynical decision by senate democrats to shove aside millions of americans for the sake of irresponsible, political games. >> reporter: top lawmakers and president trump met throughout the day scrambling to make a last-minute compromise, but by the midnight deadline no deal. democrats say they won't pass a

spending bill unless they get protections for dreamers the undocumented immigrants that were brought to the u.s. by illegals. the white house called this an attempt to hold lawful citizens hostage, the republicans say there is no rush for legislation to protect dreamers. here's how the shut down will affect you. it could cost the u.s. economy $38 million every hour. hundreds of thousands will be furloughed without pay. members of the military will see their paychecks delayed. you'll still get mail, social security benefits will go out. tsa and air traffic control will keep working. senators will be back to work at noon today. it's unclear what's open and what's closed. we're standing at a waiting area

to get to the statue of liberty. visitors don't know if they will make it to ellis island or turned away. abc news new york. >> women are preparing to march through washington, d.c. in the second annual women's march. this marks one year since the first march filled the streets in the nation's capitol. half a million people marched in washington. this year the events focuses on women vote own get involved in civil and political roles. a similar event is taking place right here, this morning thousands are getting ready to take part in the women's march in philadelphia. the benjamin franklin parkway has been closed to traffic in anticipation of the big event. the march starts at 11:00 a.m. and moves from logan square to eakens oval. there will be a rally with speakers and performers at noon. >> still more to come on "action news" saturday morning.

6:40 p.m. start time against the vikings. get a load of this, temperatures in the 50s, it will pull back by game time. last week the eagles playing the falcons, windchills in the teens, we're talking about temperatures in the mid 40s, not too bad. cloudy, the slightest breeze out of the south/southwest 4 to 6 miles per hour. 4:00 p.m., 46. 10:00 p.m., 43 degrees. no windchills out there, no rain, the game will be dry, it will be nice weather. 37 degrees in philadelphia. a dewpoint of 20. the winds are light out of the southwest at 15 miles per hour. the direction is key. the southwesterly component to the wind there start to warm things up later on. windchill is brisk right now, but that will warm up later, as well. speaking of warming. kutztown, pottstown, malvern, 44. the normal high that occurs around 4:00 p.m. is that right there it is 40. it's 45 in media.

44 in warminster. center city, 37. glassboro, 40. claymont, 43. vineland, 41. cinnaminson, 40. satellite and radar showing high, thin clouds to the north. you get north of 78 and 80. you have a couple of clouds moving in. poconos mainly cloudy conditions right now, a lot of this will thin out. immediate philadelphia area looking at sunny skies, it will stay that way from start to finish. couple of clouds around that's about it. the frontal system is up through here, that means all the cold weather is bottled in here. the cold arctic high is over top of the hudson bay. the front is to the north that means winds are out of the southwest. sunshine out there, it's a quiet day. the cold front tries to sneak? from the north but it will run into a brick wall on the new york/pennsylvania line.

we stay mild in the 50s, the low cuts north through the great lakes, winds strengthen even more out of the south/southwest, that means monday and tuesday are in the 50s, as well. 56 degrees is the forecasted high, winds out of the west southwest at 20 to 25 miles per hour. lots of sunshine, lunchtime, 49. 2:00 p.m., 53. 4:00 p.m., there's that 55. overnight tonight mainly clear and chilly. these numbers are not that bad. 31 degrees, the normal cold spot they are getting a degree below freezing, not bad. center city, 34. all these numbers take off tomorrow afternoon as we see more sunshine. speaking of tomorrow, for the tailgaters 1:00 p.m. we're showing 48 degrees, game time there's that 46. the numbers are not crashing during the game, by the third

halladay died. an autopsy shows he died from blunt-force trauma with drowning as a contributing factor as he crashed his plane into the gulf of mexico on november 7. the report said he had evidence of amphetamine and morphine and insomnia drug in his system. the coroner was called to the scene of a house fire in north hampton county on iron stone road in bethlehem as a single family split level home went up in flames. you can see the smoke and flames on the scene. firefighters say the fire started at 9:00 p.m. no clear who lived in the home or the extent of the injuries. what caused the fire is under investigation. take a look at this, a large sinkhole opening up in fishtown section of philadelphia. that would be frightening. the 30 by 30 hole was reported on the 2200 block of tagart

meteorologist chris sowers, chris a balmy forecast in store for us. >> reporter: old man winter could go on vacation for a while. at least two weeks. i see the weather lasting through the 4th or 5th of february. a much-needed break for the philadelphia area. remember the normal high for this time of the year is 40. we had a couple of days where we jumped above that. tuesday and friday. monday, 34, tuesday, 450, wednesday, 33, thursday, 36 and friday 46. it's 20 degrees warmer in allentown than this time yesterday. reading, 17 degrees warmer and lancaster 21 degrees warmer. you can see it translates to 42 in lancaster. 42 in trenton. 37 in wilmington, 36 in reading. watch what happens in between those locations. pottstown, 45. malvern, 45. coatsville, 42. and warminster, 44 degrees.

9:43 a.m. saturday morning. a lot is riding on tomorrow's nfc championship game with the eagles and vikings, including tastykakes. pennsylvania governor tom wolf took to twitter to place a bet on the game with minnesota govenor, mark daten. if the eagles win, governor daten will send a five pound pierceson's candy nut roll. governor wolf will send five pounds of tastykakes. according to chris' prediction. >> reporter: a salted what? >> it's a candy bar with nuts in it. >> reporter: can you see that, we'll be eating salted nut roll. people in other parts of the world they don't know what tastykakes are, they are missing out. that's stuff is good. let's get you outside and go live on sky6 live hd, beautiful

shot of cape may, it will be a nice day actually to tokyo at that stroll along the beach. temperatures are 50 degrees down the jersey shore, a ton of sunshine expected. it should be a nice day, enjoy it. tomorrow in the 50s, as well. 56 degrees that's the forecasted high today. look at normal. we're 16 degrees above the seasonal average. 29 is where we started out this morning. some of the locations have skyrocketed into the mid 40s, pottstown, 46. malvern, 45. same number for media, long wood and kirkwood. new 0 -- holland, 40. vineland and hammonton, 42. smyrna checking in at 40. the mild southern air is racing in from the southwest. you can thank the frontal systems being this far to the north. the front dropped to the south, it shifts out of the north it's cold. once the fronts shifts out of

the south it's turns warmer. the fronts are up along the u.s. canadian border. wednesday the cold front slides in and cools us down. we have four days of unseasonably warm weather. clouds increase during the day, temperatures are in the 50s. monday night into tuesday, this is what's called a great lakes cutter, the area of low pressure develops across the four corner states off coming off the colorado rockies and cuts north into the great lakes. salons -- as long as the storms go to the southwest the winds come out of the south. some of these could be heavy. the predicted model shows 1.1 inches in reading. an inch in philadelphia and wilmington. trenton, close to an inch. same thing with allentown it's good enough to wash at salt off the roads and clear things out.
