breaking case authorities say it was inside of that home where the little boy was beaten to death and now two people are charged including his mother and the motive spilled cereal. >> the montgomery county district attorney's office says that the little boy's mother lisa smith and her boyfriend kei keith spanked him to death and are charged with assault and attempted murder and other charges. authorities are awaiting the autopsy and other charges could be filed. >> i'm heart broke and and we live here and couldn't do anything to protect the child makes me sick. >> when you hear the child is dead -- it's crazy. >> i knew there was a little kid that lives there but that is just -- i'm shocked and processing. according to court records the little boy became unresponsive and his eyes rolled back and he was in and out of consciousness

philadelphia police are looking for the person that shot and killed a teenager outside of a septa station in olney.

the 19-year-old was gunned down at 12:30 this morning in west olney at broad street. the victim ran to a nearby car and was driven to the hospital and didn't survive. police are scouring through surveillance cameras in the area. the latest on the opioid crisis philadelphia is trying a controversial tactic to bring down the fatal overdose rate. it is encouraging safe injection sites. the sites would provide services like wound care and access to rehab treatment. but they would also allow medically supervised drug use run by medical or nonprofit not. and attorney general, josh shapiro says it presents safety concerns that is one topic we tackle tonight in the opioid crisis. that is the opioid crisis, on
