lawsuits against michigan state university and usa gymnastics. turning now to the latest development in the russia investigation, president trump says he's looking forward to speaking with special counsel robert mueller. the president told reporters he's willing to talk under oath as soon as possible if his lawyers approve and we've spoken to his lawyer overnight. abc's kenneth moton has the latest. good morning. >> reporter: good morning, maggie. the press was having an off the record session with john kelly when president trump dropped in and made some big headlines. the president saying his interview with the special counsel could happen in two to three weeks. president trump left the white house bound for switzerland, a couple of hours before appearing eager for a possible interview with special counsel robert mueller. >> i'm looking forward to it actually. >> yeah. do you have a date set? >> just so you understand there's been no collusion. >> you would do it under oath. >> i would do it under oath. >> reporter: his lawyer saying mr. trump was speaking hurriedly

and that arrangements are still being worked out. it's raising questions about whether his team is zeroing in on possible obstruction of justice. >> there's no obstruction whatsoever and i'm looking forward to it. >> reporter: another headline from that west wing q&a trump opening up citizenship to d.r.e.a.m.ers after a 10 to 12-year period. >> i think it's a better issue for the republicans than it is for the democrats. >> reporter: they're back to negotiating a deal to address the fate of nearly 800,000 undocumented immigrants brought to the u.s. as children. senate democratic leader chuck schumer pulled his offer to fully fund trump's southern border wall in exchange for the d.r.e.a.m.ers. >> schumer says the wall is off the table. do you believe him? >> no, i don't. i can tell you this, if you don't have a wall you don't have daca. >> trump set a march 5th deadline to end the daca program. he now says he's open to extending the deadline if a deal

is within sight. maggie and kendis. republican lawmakers are claiming a so-called secret society at the fbi may be working to undermine the president. the claim stems from text messages sent between fbi officials, peter strzok and lisa page, after the election saying they were depressed that trump had won. page wrote, quoting here, are you even going to give out your calend calendars? seems kind of depressing. maybe it should just be the first meeting of the secret society. it's unclear whether that reference was made in jest. in the meantime, wisconsin senator johnson says a whistle-blower said managers held secret off-site meetings but did not elaborate about what they may have entailed. five months of text messages between strzok and page are missing and the justice department blames all of that on a technical glitch which reportedly affected thousands of fbi phones. john kerry may be ready to run for the white house again.
