severe flu symptoms or underlying medical problems heart or lung problems or difficulty breathing that is signs you need to get into the hospital. reporting live from allentown ali gorman, channel 6 "action news." >> thank you. back here we continue to follow the water main break that is still impacting traffic tonight. one lane is getting by on the northbound roosevelt boulevard extension in east falls and the water department says this started as a small leak a few days ago at henry avenue. well, overnight it grew into a 12 inch main break and leaked on to the roosevelt boulevard and crews dumped salt to keep it from freezing up and driver shoz expect detours and delays in the area. the investigation continues tonight into a violence robbery and home invasion that targeted a father and 9-month-old son, it happened in the olney section of philadelphia and according to surveillance video one suspect was dressed as a postal worker.

chad pradelli spoke to the victim and joins us live near the crime scene with the latest. >> reporter: yes rick, police do not believe that that armed robber is a postal worker, this armed robbery happened yesterday right here behind me at 3:00 p.m. a brazen and well plans and now they are trying to figure out if the victim was targeted. >> in this surveillance video you see one suspect dressed as a postal worker and approaches the victim putting his 9-month-old son in the suv. >> i have a packet for you sir. i have a packet for you. and one time i didn't hear him well and i said what packet? >> and he says that is when the suspect pulled a gun. and forced him into his house leaving his young child in the backseat of the suv. >> got in the house. he just said get on the floor

and stomped me. >> his elderly mother-in-law was on the couch in shock but fortunately unharmed. soon though three more suspects would burst through the door. >> where is the money? i said i don't have it. and i hit me here and boom. the last time he hit me. >> after ransacking the home the thieves got away with some cash and belongings and motive is unclear the he is unemployed but that he frequents casinos and wonders if he was followed recently. >> they could watch his mail or see him leaving the house at a precise time and figured they would get him when he comes out. investigators say this is one of the get away vehicles, a black buick luzerne and the other is a ponti pontiac grand prix with a spoiler on the back. >> be mindful of your

surroundings. >> and if you see those vehicles call police, also that mother-in-law and the child were uninjured. i'm live in olney, chad pradelli, channel 6 "action news." >> thank you. in center city the trial got underway for edward archer accused of shooting and wounding a police officer in a late night ambush two years ago. today jurors were shown dramatic video of at tack that the defendant allegedly admit the was inspired by isis. vernon odom is live with more. >> reporter: good evening rick, philadelphia police officer jessie hartnett is still not back at work. the wounds he received to his left arm are severe and still trying to recover from that. and widely considered a hero in this town and the defense team acknowledged that to the jury today. the key piece of evidence

surveillance video from 60th and spruce late night january 7th, 2016. the jury of nine women and three men were spell bound watching edward archer charged the driver. firing 13 times and hitting the office three times in the left arm before fleeing on foot and officer hartnett gathered himself and jumped out of the car and shot him in the buttocks. >> here is audio of the police radio transmissions. >> shots fires -- bleeding heavily. >> officer hartnett seen leaving court has undergone 11 surgeries and has been leer for the proceedings and not set to testify until last week. >> archer now 32 refused to enter a plea for the charges he faced here. the response to each question, i don't plead to anyone but allah.

of arlington national cemetery. john harrison jr. was escorted today members from the veterans advisory commission led the escort. harrison a congressional gold medal winner died in march. and they broke ground on the school's performing arts center today. what better way to celebrate than the villanova singers. they will finally bring the school's artistic community under one roof. the city led environmental group penn environment led a group of the delegation. brendon boyle and dwight evans were presented with leadership awards for efforts for the environment. the ceremony was held today at city hall. some elementary students in seasonal are using eagles pride to i prior a classmate. ♪ fly ethan fly

the eagles. jeff skversky is here and eagles were talking about the super bowl parade. the potential for the super bowl parade. is that risky? >> earlier this season brandon graham was talking about getting to the super bowl and a lot of people thought that was a jinx. but no in the jinx in the past and lets talk about it. lets talk about a parade. the city is starving and so much so that lane johnson joked the city will have to put crisco on the light poles and the buildings to keep the fans grounded. lets go to jaime apody. >> jeff, lane told me today the craziness is already started and he said it's been such a hassle handling ticket requests for friends and family and booking hotel rooms for his family he had no idea that is part of the matness and doesn't have enough
