the "new york times." we have the lightest development in the russia investigation. and get your motors running we'll take you live to the philadelphia auto show for a preview. but the big story on "action news" at noon. another winter warm-up in the weekend forecast. going live outside as we check out the view from penn's landing, our sky 6 hd landing taking a look at the afternoon. and we are heading for a warm break. david murphy is in the weather center. >> reporter: happy friday obviously it's a nice start to friday. as you look at the weather center, we dumped the clouds after the sunshine yesterday and an area of pressure close by knocking the clouds out and knocking down the wind. temperatures on the chilly side but above freezing, 38 in philadelphia. 35 in trenton and i'll point out to you that yesterday's high

already reached 35. and 36 in allentown unreading and winds are on the light side. as we go through the afternoon not a bad day. maybe have you to walk the dog not a bad day. i'm expecting a high of 44 at 3:00 and back to 43 by 4:00. and if you have plans to head out on the town, it's not as bad as it's been 39 by 6:00 and 10:00 down to 35 and only going down to 32 for an overnight low. you get the gloves on and a hat and coat, not a lot of wind and a decent night to get out and get things done. as we look out to the west. milder air is in place in philadelphia. 38 degrees right now and cleveland 49 and detroit 46 and cooler areas and an indication that we are getting milder air coming up from the south into this region. and that presses toward philadelphia over the next couple of days and the weekend looks mild. this is the continuation for the

special counsel and the process. and the president says that ousting mueller is not on the table. >> have you considered a dismissle of the special counsel. >> very not given it any thought. >> but expressed doubt about the probe. >> do you think robert mueller will be fair to you. >> we'll find out. there is no collusion. did he fight back? >> democrats are sounding the alarm. senator mark warner the top democrat says that firing the special counsel is a red line that the president can't cross. now to break news from western pennsylvania where police say they have prevented a mass shooting. a 14-year-old boy was allegedly plotting to kill his classmates at union town area high school. and police went to the boy's home to investigate a threat and

found multiple weapons in his bedroom. and this follows two other school shootings within the last week and a 15-year-old girl survived a shooting in texas and two were killed in a rampage at a high school in kentucky and. and one person is saved from a fire in the kensington section of philadelphia. crews arrived to find one person stuck on the roof. they were able to rescue that person and brought the blaze under control. it is a car lovers dream at the pennsylvania convention center and the annual philadelphia auto show opens to the public tomorrow and with more than 700 vehicles on display there is something for everyone. dylan had a fever on monday and tuesday he passed away and 37-year-old harley spent the last week of her life caring for her husband and children that were sick last week and died three days after being diagnosed with the flu. neither of them had their flu shots and now an entire district is shut down for the day in florida. and all students and staff are told to stay home. crews are cleaning and sanitizing all schools and shortage of medicine like tamiflu pharmacies are simply running out. walgreens the sudden surge in demand is to blame and more inventory is on the way. for people that can't come soon enough. >> well, a breakfast bat simone legree brewing, pinera bread is crying fowl. they are now petitioning the fd axe saying only food made with a

meteorologist, david murphy is here now with milder conditions and the weekend is nice. >> the weekend is even better we get up into the 50s and for now stormtracker 6 live double scan shows you we are dry, and as we take a look outside. we have the beautiful picture of the ocean down in cape may. not a lot of breakers on the water and winds are light and isn't that a nice blue there. it looks like fishing boats are headed out or a ferry. cape may looking good 38 degrees is your current temperature. it is chilly and calm winds and no windchill. it's really a lot better than yesterday. yesterday we only got to a high of 37 and making it feel like the freezing mark. 35 in trenton and 35 in wilmington and 36 if allentown

and reading and as you head out in the region you want to dress warmly and again light winds and staying on the light side the rest of the way today. satellite and a lack of significant cloud cover around since early yesterday morning and we are not expecting additional stuff to the west to work its way in. and in the lehigh valley sun and a bit milder with a high of 42, yesterday down in the low to mid-30s and at the shore 42 and sunny and milder and not bad. philadelphia sunny and milder with a high of 44 degrees and winds from the south at most 5 to 10 miles per hour. and of course at times calm winds and that is what we have now. mainly clear tonight and not as cold. look agent coat weather and 32 is your overnight low and we hit that at down and some suburbs in the upper 20s and winds are light and milder than it has been recently in your overnight. the eastern temperatures right now. still that pocket of cooler air

sliding out of here in philadelphia. 38 degrees and go down the pike to raleigh and 52 there and cincinnati in ohio 51 degrees and chicago up above our latitude and to the west 47 and all the milder air is beginning to rise up to the northeast and southerly flow ahead a warm front and area of high pressure. and highs in the 50s over the weekend. unfortunately it's damp and by 9:00 at night in allentown and reading and overnight rain was popping through and early sunday morning and roads were wet and experiencing rain and most of the recent model runs and by lunch time or so. a quick hit and main period we look at getting wet is late saturday night and late sunday morning. a flood watch in the northern areas between bush kill falls and down to east ton and it's because of that four miles of delaware river ice still breaking up and this is extended until sunday afternoon.

be careful driving on the low lying roadways near the water. sunny and not as cold and not as windy. tomorrow the winds pick up a mild high of 57 degrees and rain holding off until later saturday night and sunday a rainy start and drying during the afternoon and evening hours and after that 54 degrees and not a bad weekend and rain in the middle there. and nice temperatures, brisk and chilly again and 46 and at night there could be rain, as temperatures fall turn into snow and we could wind up with snow on tuesday morning, we are only looking at an inch total out of all of that. hopefully not a behind trance to the morning commute. >> thank you. more ahead on our next half hour of "action news" at 12:30. a major expansion at a farm to fork restaurant in south jersey that doubled their seating to
