ward, into central and north central portions of pennsylvania this will all be rain. we're not expecting any frozen precipitation this go around. clouds will continue to increase in the west/southwest those cloud will lower and thicken throughout the day. accu weather says rain develops shortly after lunchtime otherwise it is mild with a high of 53 degrees. national weather service has issued a flood watch later this evening up for entire viewing area and it remains in effect through sunday evening. rain fail totals in that one to 2-inch rain but isolated heavier amounts to 3 inches are possible. as we look at the radar across the southeastern part of the u.s., we have not one, not two but three areas of rain, head ing this way. first one, currently pushing through the virginias, the second one, just to the southwest of nashville, and tennessee, and then there is that third ban if you look to the lower left hand part of your screen right around houston, texas area all three of to push through the philadelphia area before we clear. that won't happen until monday

morning. so i'll be back along in a few minutes and focus more on the flood threat heading this way tomorrow morning, i will time it out with future tracker six and have that accu weather seven day forecast, gray. >> looking forward to the update chris, thank you. you can get updates to this weekend's rain forecast and check storm tracker six live anytime right on your phone or tablet, six abc app it is a free down load for your mobile device. newly released inmate in philadelphia's holmesberg section was shot after he attacked a correctional officer during an attempted carjacking. twenty-six year-old jamal bennet had been just released when he attacked a 66 year-old correctional officer in the parking lot. it happened around 11:00 last night. that officer discharged his personal weapon and shot bennet in the chest. bennet was taken to aria hours dale where he is listed in critical condition. the officer was also hospitalized but he is in stable condition. all right, your time 9:02. city of philadelphia still recovering from the eagles super bowl parade and what officials believe was the

biggest crowd, ever, assembled for an event right here in the city. look at all of the people. city leaders did not have an estimate as to the crowd size for that parade and they say they are skeptical of the report published friday that has the number of 700,000 based on some pictures, the city says nearly 60 tons of trash had been collected, post parade and they say that was the most trash collected after , a major event. and septa releasing its preliminary figures estimating 395,000 rides, on the broad street line and market frankford line and another 65 to 80,000 on regional rails. >> i did work phillies parade and there were clearly more folks there yesterday irrespective of what some people think numbers are i walked from that art museum down to the stadium and back and there were nothing but, people every where. >> so as for the parade's price tag the amount to be paid by the eagles and amount to be paid by the taxpayers,

well, that is still all being worked out. eagles center jason kelce also stole show at thursday's parade wearing a mummers costume and giving a memorable passionate speech. fans in havertown got a chance to meet up with him after he made headlines. "action news" reporter jeff chirico was here. >> reporter: jason kelce and beau allen are talking about the first time since massive super bowl celebration on the streets of philadelphia. >> to see i mean right away when you saw how many fans were there, the passion, and energy that everybody had, it was easy i think to get swept up in that. >> yeah, yeah. >> reporter: fans waited for hours outside karl's card and collectibles in havertown for an autograph from the world champs, kelce a bit calmer then thursday where he was body surfing in the mummers costume and profanity laden under dog speech earned him a spot in many philadelphians heart. >> you know what under dog means? it is a hungry dog. >> it is wonderful. >> incredible. >> everything that he said was exactly right, it is what everybody has been saying about us.

makers fans enjoying that parade. time check 9:06. pennsylvania governor tom wolf is reviewing newly drawned congressional maps from top republican law make their were ordered by the supreme court. jerry manneddering districts were ruled unconstitutional for favoring republicans. governor wolf has until thursday to inform the state supreme court whether he accepts the new map. if not the justices have indicated that they will create their own. here's what we are told, about these new lines, that keep nearly 70 percent of residents in their current districts. sixty-two cities and counties that are now split up, have been, stitched back together. the sprawling seventh district which now contains parts of the delaware, chester, montgomery, berks and lancaster counties have been made far more compact and montgomery county which would be divide add monk four districts rather than five, excuse me. the map maintains one district in philadelphia where minority voters make up the majority and increasing minority

population in the second city district. meanwhile governor wolf has ordered that any new electronic voting machines must be the type that leave a paper trail. it is latest measure against hacking and could help in the event of audits and recounts. as for the old machines the state is currently weighing whether to get rid of them. happening in delaware governor john carney signed an executive order authorizing the delaware national guard to assist the town, with distributing water, high levels compounds were discovered in municipal wells. delaware national guard has provided two, hundred gallon portable water tanks and an additional 5,000 gallons water tanker, is prepared, and available for follow-up support. all right. much more to come on "action news" this saturday morning. mounting questions about the white house's response, to domestic abuse allegations involving one of the president 's closest aids. if you are among millions of the equifax customers who

i can see it vice foggy getting ready for a soaker this weekend but according to meteorologist chris sowers, silver lining is that there is a little warm up. >> how is that a silver lining >> silver lining for those who don't like cold. >> you can have are cold, go to the mountains. >> it will be a lousy weekend for skiers. we are expect ago lot of rain. lets go over to the weather center. it will arrive shortly after lunchtime today as we go live, sky six, philadelphia international airport, same thing here low level cloud, a little fog and shrouding tops of the sky scrapers. that is how it will be, rain develops shortly after midday. call from being accu weather this weekend cloudy to day, rain developing, 53 degrees. normal is 43. then for sunday series of heavy rain especially during morning hours and could be a thunderstorm thrown in there as fog develops as well. 60 degrees is tomorrow's forecasted high. again, normal is 43. we're anywhere from let's say 12, to almost 20 degrees, above seasonal averages, a

huge warm up is on the way. you can already see some of the milder air down here to the south east across southern new jersey, and delaware, look at all of the 50's popping up already. thirty-nine in philadelphia, but 50 in millville, cape may, and 51 in atlantic city. dover 43. you can see the direction of the hours here, this is all mild ocean air pouring inland. rain/snow line with this system is actually all the way up here in the northern new england. nobody picks up wintry precipitation this go around. water vapor shot you can see all of the moisture coming from the gulf of mexico. what we are looking at here the green representing the higher cloud tops. where we get higher cloud tops we get heavier rain. that is exactly is what going on right now. we have a couple of round is here. here's round one, later today, tonight, and then this is tomorrow morning. into the afternoon. each round, brings a period of heavy rain. we're expecting at least one to 2 inches when all said and done with isolated heavier amounts up to 3 inches in some locations here. so, here's future tracker six

by 1:30 shortly after lunchtime rain begins, some of it will be rather steady or even heavy at cross south jersey, delaware especially by three or 4:00 in the afternoon and then everything quiet this evening. we will pick up a break in the action a couple spritz or sprinkles out there but for the most part heavier rains are gone, only to reload after midnight tonight, and this is second round right here, and this is very heavy, first thing tomorrow morning you can see yellow, orange, reds, again, a thunderstorm out there at lee a rumble of thunder and then here comes last round as we get into tomorrow afternoon more red, more yellow and more oranges and that means more heavy rain so to summit up for you rain begins, later this afternoon, shortly after lunchtime, the heaviest should occur tomorrow morning followed by another, heavier round as we get into tomorrow afternoon. one to 2 inches expected. isolated heavier amounts. flooding will be a problem especially north and west of philadelphia where ground is still frozen. you can get all this rain falling on a frozen ground and it cannot seep into the ground so it runs off and that means flooding. you can see here this

and politicians over his defense of former aid rob porter, porter resigned wednesday after his two former wife's, accused him of domestic violence. just yesterday, president trump said he was surprised by those allegations and wished porter well in his career. the president made no mention of the alleged victims, porter denied claim of abuse. the white house told house intelligence committee that president donald trump is unable to declassify memo drafted by democrats, citing national security concerns. the memo counters a g.o.p. memo which alleged fbi abuse of governmental surveillance powers in the russia probe. white house has asked the intelligence panel to revise the democratic memo with the help of the justice department and a newly released autopsy report says that las vegas shooter had anti anxiety medication in his system. report also revealed that stephen paddock died of a self inflict gunshot wound to the head. investigators say the 64

year-old opened fire on 22,000 people last october, and 59 people were killed, and investigators have not discovered a motive for the attack. paddock's brain remains in a research lab in stanford university's school of medicine. equifax data breach expos ed more consumer personal information then the company first disclosed last year. the credit reporting company and announced in september that the personal information of 145 million consumers had been compromised in a data breach including names, social security numbers, birth dates, addresses and credit card numbers. but, in a recent legal document the company disclosed that criminals also accessed tax id, e-mail address is and phone numbers. investigation into the hack is ongoing and the company faces hundreds of consumer lawsuits.

and the accu weather forecast, chris? >> i don't have the gloves on no hat, nice and mild, temperatures already in the 50 's across south jersey. lets take a look at some of the numbers, 50 degrees now in millville. fifty-one showing up for cape may and atlantic city. philadelphia showing 40. north and west of the city temperatures are above freezing, lancaster closing in on 40. reading 36. allentown 37 degrees. as we take a quick look at storm tracker i have set it all in motion for you there are three areas of moisture we are watching. first one comes in later today , round number two and three, they arrive tomorrow, and those will be the heavier round especially number two, and that round could produce flood ago cross delaware and lehigh valley. lots of moisture heading this way, waves of low pressure kind of riding, not a stalled out frontal system but it is moving very, very slowly to the east and taking its sweet time clearing the coast and

that means expect quite a bit of rain here in a short period of time. next 36 to 48 hours look very, very messy. forecast for today stays cloudy, through the morning hours, light rain, develops shortly after lunch, and becomes steady at three or 4:00 and then we will see steady rain through seven or 10:00 this evening. we will catch a break after 10 , only to see that rain, load up again after midnight tonight and that is what some of the heavier stuff arrives. so 53 degrees is today's forecasted high. biggest concern is flooding tomorrow morning, it has been fairly coldest specially north and west of philadelphia over the last couple of days. the ground is frozen. all of this rain will not seep into the ground. it will run off. one to 2 inches of run off is a lot of water and that means areas that typically flood, low lying areas, smaller creeks, streams, areas of poor drainage, some roadways, likely will flood tomorrow morning. when i come back in a few minutes we will focus more on the flood threat like we did in the last half an hour and we will have that exclusive accu weather seven day

"action news" reporter dann cuellar with the very latest on those efforts. >> reporter: city workers from the sits department has done a tremendous job of clearing upward of 60 tons of trash from philadelphia's cherished ben franklin parkway. they went at it with gusto. >> this is probably largest we have ever had to deal with in terms of the clean up effort. >> reporter: what a difference a day has made. >> it is amazing they have done a good job cleaning up.

>> reporter: now is there something unescapable missing. >> i remember grass at some point. >> reporter: not one blade of grass remains around or near eakins oval where hundreds of thousands of fans camped out all day for the super bowl parade celebration. >> oh, man it looks like a desolate waste land out here. >> bound to happen when we have a lot of people. >> this area is usually really beautiful but now it is a war zone. i was walking down. it looks so desolate and different. >> reporter: spokesperson for cities parks and recreation say they are assessing damage from the parade. she said they typically seed the particle parkway in the spring once weather breaks. they expect to follow same time line this year but we will not see probably any grass until about may. >> it is usually so beautiful. such an important monument, and landmark of the city, it will look great once they get it done, and finish it backup. >> they will get it together fast. they have been doing a lot of work. >> cost of victory, you know, fly eagles fly. >> reporter: there you have it , the folks at parks and rec usually do a good job keeping up with the landscape on the

parkway and is there no reason to believe that they won't handle this any differently. in center city, i'm dan cuellar for channel six "action news". and with the eagles back in town, and parade all wrapped up, fans are getting a chance to meet some of the players, darren sproles, donnie jones, and halapoulivaati vaitai signed autographs for a long lines of fans at dynasty sports in the oxford valley mall. and this was the scene at dick's sporting goods in king of prussia after linebacker ni gel bradham surprised 10 families with the shopping spree. his charitable foundation called one tackle for change selected the families, from northern children services and then gave them $125 gift cards , and he helped the children go shopping and pick out their gifts. >> safety rodney mccloud was out last night, also signing autographs for all of those excited eagles fans, the appreciation event was held at the glen mills in delaware county and mccloud, posed for hundreds of pictures with a

carrasquillo hit a pole at 2:30 this morning. the driver was not injury. two people were able to escape from a house fire in philadelphia's cobbs creek, section, earlier this morning. crew where is dispatched to the, 6,000 block of hazel avenue just after 3:00 a.m. at that scene they say they found heavy smoke, coming from the first and second floors. the red cross has been called into assist the two people living in that home who are now displaced. a man suffered second degree burns to 45 percent of his body, during an overnight fire that happened in philadelphia's juniata section fire fighters were called to the 4200 block of palmetto street around 1:20 this morning. the victim was taken to temple hospital where his condition at this point is not yet known a lawmakers and out spoken advocate of the #me too movement is facing allegations of sexual misconduct. a former staff member of assembly woman cristina garcia said she groped him. marci gonzales has the latest

looks like a regular old suit. 9:42. meteorologist chris sowers tracking weekend forecast, we have some rain in that forecast. >> rain, rain, go away. a lot of it. we will go outside and live on the parkway here, clouds continue to increase, lowering , thickening, and rain is on the way, right after lunchtime actually when first drops will arrive. it will rain from that point on, the rest of the day, all day tomorrow, all night tonight, and some real mess this weekend. but again good news we have been talking about this all week, all morning long, and not a big fan of snow, cold. this is all rain. no wintry precipitation with this. temperatures will be way too mild, this time of the around. it is already 40 degrees here in philadelphia we are up to 53 today. close to 60 degrees as we head into tomorrow. all of these locations well above freezing, well above freezing mark of 32. forty's to the south. kirkwood, long wood, media, center city showing 40 degrees thirty-eight in quakertown. lake harmony poconos above

freezing. forty-one new holland. then south jersey and 50's pop up. fifty-five in tuckahoe. fifty-one in hammington. and low to mid 40's for forte coup, vineland, cinnaminson, 40 and ewing at 37. so from that point on temperatures again will continue to climb and that means we will not see white on the radar but we will see this , the green, orange, reds, three areas that we're watching, this is first round that comes in today. this is tomorrow morning. that is tomorrow afternoon. it is these two areas here that is heaviest. we could see perhaps an inch of rain with each of those bands, that come through, over the next 24 to 36 hours. so here's the first one, this is later today stopping the clock at 1:30. probably rain all areas north and west, maybe still just cloud a cross south jersey but shortly after that the rain arrives there as well. continues through until about four or 5:00 this afternoon and then we will catch a break at this point it is just cloudy, eight, nine, 10:00 this evening, maybe a spritz or sprinkle but mainly

cloudy, some fog settling n and shortly after midnight, it is round number two. this will continue right through tomorrow morning, and this is one of the heavier round that is will come through, and lots of orange and red is here, flooding probably an issue around 7:00 o'clock tomorrow morning and continuing in the late morning hours and then here's round number three, right around lunchtime it gets heavy again west of the i-95 corridor. that sweeps through southern new jersey by two or 3:00 in the afternoon and then from that point on springs should start to dry out from west to east. to summit up, rain develops today between one and 3:00 this afternoon, heaviest occurs tomorrow morning, and a good one to 2 inches of rain expect with isolated heavier amounts to 3 inches. our in house r p.m. model has philadelphia to three and a half inches on have rain when all said and done. that means we expect to see flooding because of the frozen ground. flooding concerns, roads, streets, high concern for. that low lying areas we have been talking about this all morning, areas of poor drainage, smaller creeks, streams, high probability of flooding there, major rivers a
