have clouds build in and the precipitation builds in from the south and west. the first half of the day is dry, colder than yesterday. 30 degrees in the lehigh valley. 33 in millville. 35 in cape may. 32 in philadelphia. it's staying above freezing in the city and south and east even into the overnight hours. that will change things a little bit for us as to how we're dealing with the precipitation. snow doesn't arrive until 4:00 p.m., 6:00 p.m. 3:00 p.m. we'll be watching for the arrival. 39 degrees, even if it's snowing it's in the upper 30s. 7:00 p.m., it's 35 degrees, it will be a wet snow that's melting on most of the surfaces and building up on the grass philadelphia south and east. 4 to 6:00 p.m. this is where the snowfall begins from the southwest to the northeast. from 6 to midnight, that's the crunch time heavy snow in the

approximate miami field office we regret the additional pain this caused. >> they had the name of the person, witness cruz and the witness who was reporting they would have been able to act on the information immediately. they didn't. >> reporter: attorney general ordering a review of what went wrong. >> it's something we have to live with, our good friend is dead, it could have been stopped if the fbi did something about it. >> reporter: in september a video blogger contacted the fbi when a user with the name nicholas cruz posted i'm to be a professional school shooter. while the community is in shock, cruz is on suicide watch. the broward county public defender said he is going to plead guilty in order to avoid the death penalty. >> the community family members and friends continue to mourn the 17 victims killed in the florida massacre.

services were held yesterday for meadow pollock and her classmate. we learned the funeral for the athletic director christopher hickson who has ties to the area growing up in easton, his funeral will be tomorrowment. a pedestrian was hit near whitiker and wyoming avenue. the driver stopped at the scene. police have not identified the victim. there is no word of charges expwhrmpleg no -- no injuries reported after a collapse of a build overnight at ingersol street. l&i is working to figure out

what caused the building to collapse. a person is recovering after slam into an iron fence at the unused germantown high school after 2:00 p.m. the vehicle hit a light pole causing the lights to stop working in the area. the cause of the crash being investigated no word on the driver's injuries. from our delaware newsroom nearly a month after a bank in willmington was robbed. state police say they have found the suspect. 39-year-old douglass walker walked into a wells fargo bank on the 3200 block of old capitol trail on the morning of january 20th. he was wearing a disguise and demanded money. investigator used surveillance video of his car to track him down. he faces second degree robbery. they say enough evidence for a delaware man accused of vandalizing a ancient statue. 24-year-old broke off and stole

the thumb of the terra cotta warrior at the franklin institute. the statue is worth $4.5 million. ben franklin bridge southern side walkway will be closed beginning thursday for 14 months for repairs and upgrades. the world's largest philanthropic event is underway. but participants have a way to go as they raise awareness for pediatric cancer. a section of the bryce jordon section was blocked off after a student was injured. a chain fell from a ceiling and hit a female student. there's no word on her condition. school officials are looking into how the chain fell. the event continued on and chad perdelli was there as all the

let's look at storm tracker 6 live double scan be nothing happening. we're dry and clear, the first half of the day is good. the temperatures have dropped. 24 in the poconos. sitting at the freezing mark most of the region including the city. 33 in millville. 34 degrees in cape may. now in the city it's 24 degrees colder than this point yesterday. cold front moved through yesterday, we're feeling the dinners, 26 degrees colder in atlantic city. 27 in dover. the windchills are just in the mid 20s right now. it's a rude awakening. satellite and radar showing a pretty start to the day, though, we have a good amount of sunshine. you can see how the clouds are thickening. behind that we have a mixed bag of rain sleet and snow that's what's heading in our direction for this afternoon. we'll keep with the mostly cloudy skies at 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. upper 30s, the clouds thicken.

we've been saying 3:00 p.m., 4:00 p.m., 6:00 p.m., you can expect the start of the precip station. look at the numbers, 5:00 p.m. when it's snowing 39 degrees. it's kind of a wet snow that melts on the ground for the most part through much of the region. the snow gets heavier and brings down its own colder air. in the late evening hours we stay above freezing in the city, that's important. 5:30 p.m. you can see the snow is moving, it's snowing in the lehigh valley. trying to snow in the city, but the temperature is 39. starts to snow in wilmington and dover, even though you're above freezing coming down as wet snow and melting on most surfaces. 7:00. snowing through the region. again it still looks like the temperatures are staying above freezing. it's going to melt on a lot of roads, might stick on the grassy surfaces for the first inch or

so, but it will melt. this is the latest model run that shows the rain line pulls past the city. much of what you get in the i-95 corridor will get washed away. it's mostly an event for the northwest suburbs and the lehigh valley. nothing more than a few flakes through interior south jersey. the white area in the i-95 corridor. it's a warning to you because it will come down as wet, heavy snow mixing with the rain. much of this the first part melt, the second part will wash away. the idea is as you're driving around you'll be driving through wet snow. the parts that will stick is west chester, lansdale, doylestown, pottstown, reading, allentown, that's where you're getting 3 to 5 inches of snow. all this area, i think it will wash away as the changes to rain according to the latest model run. lehigh valley northern suburbs, heavy, wet snow.

wife. the white house said the affair never happened. this morning people are assessing the damage following a 7.2 magnitude earthquake tra -- that struck mexico last night. the helicopter carrying the governor crash landed the governor was not injured, but two people on the ground were killed. the earthquake was not an aftershock of thele .2 quake that hit last september. port -- puerto rico could get 90% of the commerce without electricity will have power on by march. 95% of the customers were told they would have electricity by december 15. a benchmark that was never met.

arrested jacob finkelstein who was overheard threatening to shoot up the school. some parents not surprised. >> kids resort to things like that. >> what's happening now, the shootings that are taking place, it's just a matter of time until it happens around here. >> reporter: this incident one of three in the area, occurring in the wake of the shooting in florida. in woodside, delaware, a police arrested channing dover, he made a statement he was going to do harm to the school. he was arrested for terroristic threats. 19-year-old gill was arrested thursday in allentown. during a class discussion during a shooting in florida, gill said he was going to kill all the people in the school and start with the class he was in.

gill was arrested rat school, no weapons were found. meanwhile, back at eastern high school, parents can't believe the incidents have become commonplace. >> it's heartbreaking, it's the times we live in. >> reporter: i reached out to school officials, but did not get a reply. finkelstein is charged with causing false public alarm and making terroristic threats and being held until his court appearance. meanwhile, the deadly shooting in florida has a call for ban on weapons like the one used in the massacre. this rally was held in media. demonstrators pushing for pat toomey to ad his name to senate bill 2095 that was introduced by die and feinstein called for a ban on the weapon that was used in the florida school shooting.
