any cars that drove through the stuff they will pay to have it fixed. >> crews clearlythemselves a sticky situation on their hands,aping up liquid asphalt. a span in south jersey spilling out of a truck from the paulsboro refinely. all the way down to 295 south clearing down to mile marker 4 before it stopped. a 14 mile stretch. this car drove through it before it settled and now it's splashed all over. >> we are told it's an error on the part of the tri-state transportation company up the road in west depford. it was their truck that spilled the liquid asphalt from a boil over. >> it gets into the tank and the hot asphalt mixed with it and it boils over. >> they are making sure the big

you see the 69's in millville and dover transfer to philadelphia over the next several hours and by 4:00 this afternoon there is a chance we are challenging the record high of 70. in this model projection. we have clouds continuing to give way tonight creasing sunshine and the models are waffling between 69 and 70s for highs. and it could be that we stop in the upper 60s. we'll be optimistic say we get enough sunshine and the southerly surge to knock it up to the record high of 70 in philadelphia. and later tonight we don't sag much upper 50s at midnight and beyond and tomorrow will get even warmer, as you take a look at the warm air to the west of us now. 57 in philadelphia and down the pike 60 in raleigh and in the southeast the direction where we are going to be drawing the wind from over the next 24 hours. and 66 in atlanta and the warm

a 74-year-old patient that was shot by her husband that took his own life. it's the sub acute rehab section in sewell new jersey, we'll bring you the information as it becomes available. in other news, a middle school student was rushed to the hospital today after he shot himself inside of a school bathroom. that he brought a gun into the bathroom in ohio. and parents rushed to campus to pick up their children. officials have not released information about the student's condition. and an unlanced driver was behind the security scan. police opened fire on a black suv when it went through a check point without permission. the 17-year-old driver asked to remain anonymous. he says his gps led him to make

and looking further out into the great outdoors on sky 6 hd. and lets check it out. there are still clouds around and as you take a look at the delaware river. that shot is getting brighter and a little bit of sun glare over to the right there in a way. and some sunshine is glinting off the side of the old girl, battleship new jersey, as well. clouds give way to increasing sunshine and winds from the southwest at 11 miles per hour. that is not too strong but the right direction for us, as you grab on to the milder air in the southern states and guide it here. temperatures across the region and areas in the south close to 70 in millville and dover and official number is 57 in philadelphia and that is a top of the hour number and the temperature is in the process of rising as well. as you look at satellite, clouds were thick and low and you see the clearing underway just to the west and the skies locally thinning out and it does look like we transition to brighter

skies in the afternoon and lehigh valley increasing sun and high of 67 and watercooler 60 along the coast in atlantic city. and upper 50s in spots. and sunshine is returning and even the numbers around 60 are above average. philadelphia increasing sunshine and warm this afternoon. we'll go for a high of 70 and if we nothing hit that it will tie the existing record. it's going to be pretty nice out there. winds outs of the west 6 to 19. and the southwest breeze continues and draws in the miler air. the overnight low only 58 degrees and another round of fog developing so we'll be on early tomorrow to get you around that. but that number is pretty good for this time of year. well above the average high. cold air and kind of a reverse pattern often times in the winter and freeze warnings are in effect in california and a big powerful ridge of high

pressure is stuck in place for the east and that draws the warm air in from the southwest and we overall average high temperatures the next couple of days about 25 degrees above average. so definitely warm across the region and records may fall and today's record again is 70 set in 1939. and we could tie that and if we got lucky we'll break that but more on the lines of 68 to 70. and the surge with the southwest we'll get even milder and our forecast high of 73 does blow past the old one. just barely get past the old report of 72 in 1930. but these are long standing records and both are being challenged. and your exclusive accuweather seven-day forecast today's high is 70 and temperatures zooming over where they would normally be and the average high is 45. and record warmth tomorrow 73 degrees and a late day or night time sprinkle or shower pushing in and it's part of the system
