>> reporter: the temperatures are in the process of going down. as you look at the weather center there's precipitation out there to our north or in our northern areas. we go through the morning it's filling in a little bit and getting damp later on. the rain we have right now has been passing off and on through allentown and pottstown there's more out in gettysburg and this will fill in as the morning goes in. 54 in philadelphia. 52 in trenton. 54 in wilmington, down to 45 in i will -- allentown, 44 in reading. the upper 50s in millville are misleading we are on our highs right now and as we go through the day we'll see the numbers drop. 14 degrees cooler in reading than yesterday. actually the same or a little bit milder in some spots. as we go through the day, here comes the change.

overnight construction. should be open in about an hour. an early morning accident dekalb and marshall street. >> at this moment, police are trying to figure out who shot a woman and why, she was driving a van filled with people including three children. that van was hit by bullets. jeanette reyes is live at police headquarters with more on it is evolving story. 23-year-old woman is dead after her van was fired upon. the drivers side door was hit five times. >> she was not involved in what was going on in the gun play. she was driving down the street. the victim suffered one gunshot wound and pronounced at the scene. five children were in the car, ages, 3 and 4, and the victim's

twin sister. family members who live nearby rushed to the scene. authorities believe someone in the car opened fire on the van as it traveled northbound on broad street. the shots appeared to have come from the 5800 block of broad. the driver lost control and crashed into the buildings on old york road. >> the van was struck five times by gunfire. we found five bullet holes on the drivers side of the van as well as the driver door. >> she was like most 23-year-olds making a life for herself until she was struck down by this nonsense. >> reporter: police are looking for a dark colored car. as far as motives police are looking into that as well.

reporting live at police headquarters, jeanette reyes channel 6 "action news." >> new this morning, a five hour standoff has come to an ends in hatfield, montgomery county. police say a woman being served a warrant at a home on the 300 block of west broad street pointed a gun at law enforcement. the woman and another person inside the house barricaded themselves inside the house. they came out last night. charges are expected later today. president trump is set to discuss school safety once again this morning with state and local officials. this came after he held a listening session with teachers parents and students at at the school district of parkland. young people in alaska, new

the parkland high school tried to save his students and ran toward the gunfire. many are meeting with their parents to address school safety. allentown met last night to discuss the parklandland shooting and arrest of a 19-year-old who was threatening to shoot up his classroom, no guns were found. uber is set tow role out a new transportation service that links up riders who are near each other and going to similar destinations. once you are linked up, the app will direct users to walk to a nearby location to be picked up.
