driver smashing into cars that happened in one philadelphia neighborhood. [crashing sounds]. >> what a frightening scene that was. an "action news" viewer sending in that video. third at porter street, the street was turned into a let -- demolition derby. the driver smashed into 16 cars. the driver was held at the scene. we're waiting to get newer information from police. firefighters pulled a person from a burning home. this happened in west philadelphia. crews quickly putting out the fire on ludlow street. the injured person was taken to penn presbyterian hospital we're working to get more information about the victim's condition him it's been a week since the big fire gutted a building and damaged another one in the old city neighborhood. the aftermath is dealing an economic punch to the normally

he might shoot up the school. also released was 911 audio someone believed to be cruz 9 months before the shooting. >> the thing i lost my mother a couple of weeks ago, i'm dealing with a bunch of things right now. >> we learned that teachers have returned to the marjory stoneman douglas high school they are planning for the transitional reopening for students. governor rick scott broke with president trump to arm teachers with gun. he would spend 450 million tolerance to but the law enforcement officers if school. he did not call for a ban on the assault weapon that nikolas cruz used. president trump called for bonuses for teachers who are willing to be armed in school. there's a small, but growing corporate backlash to the nra.

scott peterson resigns after he ran for cover rather than confronting the gunman inside the marjory stoneman douglas high school. 17 students were killed in the attack. peterson once characterized himself a strong pro active law enforcement officer who was not shrink in the face of danger. this is the 53-year-old describing a previous incident he responded to in 2015. >> there were four males inside the cafeteria. i chased them, i'm getting older but i chased them. i identified who i was, i apprehended two of them 4000 block of coconut creek and throw them in the back and kept going own grabbed the other two. >> officials i away a stellar officer and former employee of the month and former resource officer of the year. he has been working at the high school since 2005. he is distraught over the shooting. >> much has been made of scott
