home. one of the victims was a female police officer. information is scarce, but only for the time being. it is monday night. the big story on "action news" is a murder mystery times two, and the investigation is being pushed into high gear. "action news" reporter annie mccormick is at police headquarters. what is the latest on this? >> friends of the officer tell us family members grew concerned after not hearing from her several days and this morning she didn't show up for roll call where she works as a police officer. >> philadelphia police discovered one of their own dead inside on the 2900 block of mercer police found two bodies, a 36-year-old female an off duty

police officer and 32-year-old male acquaintance of hers, both have no obvious trauma. >> it's a big surprise. it's awful to hear of anyone going, but she's a nice person. >> neighbors say the 14 year veteran of the force was well liked and a member of the community. >> something like that, it's a shock. >> residents watched as philadelphia police spent most of the day on the block. crime scene investigators and detectives went inside and out of the home. they did leave with bags of evidence and towed a vehicle across the street from the home. jim, police say there were no signs of trauma on the bodies.

they were taken to the medical examiner's office. police are not releasing the identity including the identity of the police officer. annie mccormick, "action news." back to you. >> police are trying to track down a gunman that pumped a volley of bullet into three victims, now at einstein hospital. >> two are in stable condition, one critical after being shot in the head. there is no clear motivate but police say the one woman hit by the bullet was at the wrong place at the wrong time. it was dark and bullets pierced three people on the sidewalk of the north philadelphia.

>> she was a block away. >> two men, a 24-year-old was shot twice in the arm and a 34-year-old in the head. both were intentional. >> the two male victims were standing just feet away from the shooter when the shooter walked up, pulled a firearm and fired numerous shot frs point-blank range. detectives spent the evening watching the corner video in hopes of identifying the masked gunmen. the suspect was last seen running east. no weapon was recovered. anyone with information is asked to contact detectives. christie ileto, channel6 "action news." jim? >> a freshman in is summerdale section of philadelphia has been arrested for carrying a loaded gun to school. the 15-year-old had it in his
