large trees and took out power lines across the delaware valley causing major travel issues. this morning many are without power and some roads remain blocked by the fallen debris. drivers are under to use caution as they hit the roads today. we have live coverage this morning, bob brooks has a look at some of the damage that drivers can expect out there on the roads, but first, meteorologist chris sowers is outside with the accuweather forecast, hi, chris. , all right, good morning to you, gray, one of the problems we're having this morning is this right hear. heavy wet snow that fell yesterday sticks to everything, power lines, power poles, trees, bushes, asphalt and sidewalks. the snow and the ice that was accumulating on the snow and branches is starting to melt and fall. if you have to shovel the walks and driveways, especially if you have trees above you watch out for this stuff, it could hit you

in the head chunks of ice. poconos, 20 inches of snow. bethlehem, 5.6. wayne, 9 i.. perkisie, 6 to 8 inches. philadelphia, 1.5 in southeastern pennsylvania. over in the southern new jersey, south harrison, 3 1/2. hammonton, 3.2. williamstown, 3. cherry hill, 2 inches of heavy wet snow. wind gusts be peak wind gusts looking at the numbers, hurricane force winds begin at 74 miles per hour. dennisville if cape may county. 71 miles per hour peak wind gusts. atlantic city, 61. allentown, 60. northeast philadelphia 62 miles per hour. now, a wind advisory remains in effect for the jersey shore. as we look at the satellite and radar, the center of the storm is 5 to 600 miles off the coast. the feeder bands of the outer edges of the storm still impacting the immediate

coastline from nantucket to the delaware beaches. in the meantime, wind gusts are in the 25 to 35 miles per hour range. forecast for today, combination of sun and clouds. it's a milder day, high of 56. it's just windy. wind gusting between 35 and 45 miles per hour at times. that's a check of the forecast for now, i'll be back along in just a few minutes, we'll focus on another storm that could potentially impacting the area by the middle of next week. >> look forward to the update. if you're heading out this morning use caution, our live coverage continues with bob brooks in overbrook, bob, the tree is still behind you. >> reporter: yup, gray it is hoontd me, it's a big one, too. the police have come by shutting down this portion of city avenue so cars don't fly into the tree.

guarantee by monday it will be gone as highs climb into the low 40s and in some cases upper 40s. italk about feeder bands that wrap around it. looks like a feeder band to me. let's call it a feeder band wrapping around it. take a look at the wind speeds, nantucket, plymouth. we saw 60 to 70-mile an hour wind gusts. look at the wind gusts, 93 miles per hour. hurricane-force wind 74. plymouth, 85. edgar town 74. charleston, 70. nor'easter is winter's hurricane. coastal flood warning in effect from long island all the way down to the new jersey shoreline and delaware beaches. it's the high tide that we're

concerned about, moderate coastal flooding likely for the steel pier in atlantic city. cape may harbor, rehoboth beach we're looking at a storm surge 2 1/2 feet above the normal high tide level. on top of that, waves 8 to 14 feet. big breakers on the sands creating beach erosion for the shorepoints. flood stage begins at 6 feet. this is minor flooding, moderate flooding, major flooding. this morning's high tide is expected to crest at 8.1 right on the fringe between moderate and major flooding. this evening,'s high tide and tomorrow morning high tide, so for forth and so on. the additional high tides will get better as the storm works out to sea. low to mid 40s, windy, winds owfortd -- out of the north gusts to 40.

trees, evergreens we're seeing power lines down, numerous power outages, take it easy this morning, even though temperatures are above freezing, some locations close to 40 degrees, there's slick spots out there. so for the next few hours, watch out for the slick spots and the icy patches on back roads, sidewalks and parking lots, things like that. would you want for falling ice, heavy, wet snow is sticking to everything, power lines, trees, power poles, everything. as the temperatures get warmer and warmer, all that snow will start melting. once it melts it's falls. strong gusty winds will continue for the next couple of hours. the satellite and radar the storm, the huge northeaster continues to pull away, you can see the counter clockwise swirl in the lower right-hand side of the screen. there's the center 600 miles southeast of philadelphia. the water is piling up on the jersey shore, there's a coastal
