wral news, coverage you can count on. a navigation al error that's what the u.s. defense secretary says caused to navy boats to stray into iranian bodies. they were not on a mission but on their way from kuwait. they were detained tuesday and held overnight and released wednesday. they are back with their fleet. police in italy arrested a man in connection withth death of an american woman. he was arrested in the death of ashley olson. the 27-year-old suspect's lawyer says he had sex with her and the two did drugs together. the lawyer said his client fought with olson when she tried to push him out of her apartment but says when he left, she was alive. her body was found the next day prosecutors say she was stronged and beat everyone to death. we are learning more about a suspicious death of a teenager. she was found unconscious in her apartment early tuesday morning. she died at the hospital. her friends describe her as

she was a seen your at middle college high school but earning college credits while working as a manager of a local restaurant. >> i know she had a lot of stress about what was working. her sister is hemming her mom out. it was a lot of stress, like she -- but other than that, i do not -- interests no -- there's to cause. i'm like, what's going on? what happened to her? >> the principal at middle college high school released a statement calling her a special person. tonight police are searching for the driver who stole a car and struck a police cruiser. police say the driver ran the officer's car around 5:30 this evening. it was abandoned and then the driver fled on foot. police say a pregnant woman was also in the stolen car. she was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. the officer in the cruiser was not hurt. authorities say a woman jumped in the wrong vehicle.

while officers were directing traffic this morning outside a high school, a 46-year-old woman took off in one of their suvs. she drove only a block before she was taken into custody. williams is charged with stealing the suv. state health officials are reporting the first flu related death of the season. flu season runs through may and peaks in january and february. last year 218 people died from the flu in north carolina. the popular lip balm is at lawsuit. the suit filed by a california woman claims the lip balm blistering. the claim that they use only the best and natural ingredients is false. the company released a statement on facebook saying the lawsuit has no merit and starred arrested. you may need extra cash for the playoff game.
