less substantial in nature. also, they were able to catch one of these lightning occurrences. you can see the white.there showing up. i wanted to share those with you. these are the highest ratings in each county of the amount of snow and sleet. you can see the highest amounts were up in person county around 7 inches and 6.5 across parts of mecklenburg county, virginia. lesser as he went for the south and east. here is the current radar image. the steadiest snow, the snow capable of producing a little bit of additional accumulation basically across northhampton county. flirting with roanoke from time to time. the rest of it is just flurry activity. temperatures are around the freezing mark. obviously, any cooling, that will become part of the pavement. in terms of the big picture, it continues to snow at one that will become part of the pavement. in terms of the big picture, it continues to snow at 1 inches to 2 inches of snow across parts of the masons -- masons capital it up towards new york.

we sent sky five up to see how people work and play after the wintry weather. >> reporter: moving all the ice means hopefully moving people again. trucks and tractors, not planes took to the runways. salting the surface. as of about 11:00 a.m. when sky five was overhead 13 flights took off. the goal is to move people safely on the roadways. we saw plows and trucks on i-40 in durham making several passes to clear the ice and ad -- add another layer of salt and sand. we saw several trucks on 15501 to make the road safer for traveling again. saturday added extra weekend fun when you added an extra player of -- layer of clothes.
