the highway patrol says drivers need to realize the domino effects. >> the first thing is people panic, lock up, swerve any time you have debris in the road that can cause head-on collisions or side swipes of other vehicles. >> they are just thankful they managed to pull to safety without anyone being hurt but between the cost and time of replacing their wind shields not to mention the fear they felt seeing ice hurling towards them like this they hope we all hear their message. >> if someone had taken a little bit of extra time to get the ice off their car we wouldn't be in the scenario right now. >> just a little bit of extra time. another driver did get the license plate for the vehicle responsible. it's a new york plate but not likely she'll be able to find the person and even if she did it's a civil matter between the two of them and their insurance companies. i do want to give a quick shout to the employees of the wake
