a memorial service is scheduled for saturday at 1:00 p.m. i like that wink it paid it personal and it was -- yeah. i like that. wow. so we're looking ahead to the weekend. >> yes. >> beautiful weather. >> we're going to call it a car wash weekend because you have all the road grime and salt that's gotten on the cars. if you haven't had your opportunity to get it washed, this weekend looks good. you can do it yourself because it will be nice and mild by sunday. lets look at what's going on. still rain in our eastern counties as we broaden out the view. it's raining along the coast. curry beach over to jacksonville, cherry point. that rain will move out over the next couple of hours and the clouds will move out shortly as well. we'll be greeted by sunday in the morning. clouds clearing out and stays chilly overnight. the sunshine returns and it's a car wash weekend. we'll be in the 50s on saturday jump into the 60s by sunday.

days of warmth and sunshine coming along. perhaps the rumble of thunder. we'll see if that happens or not. the sky cam is quiet. 45 was the high. 34 the low this morning. the current temperature at the airport in the 30s. 39 is what we had at 10:00 with an overfast and it's the same this hour. winds are calm. the air is starting to dry out and will dry out more tomorrow. relative humidity 72%. temperatures close close to home. everybody is in the 30s with the exception of holly springs at 40. 39 durham. 39 wake forest is town by town some freezing numbers are showing up for south hill, but milder in fayetteville. 42 in gold borough. lsu folks had more light rain than anybody else. they didn't get any rain out at the airport. trace of rain at rocky 40 there right now. this time last night, we saw all the moisture that's upon us in the gulf of mexico. all the upper level winds was brought toward north carolina.

eastern counties and it continues to move out. there's a frontal boundary off chauffeur and a wave of low pressure we talked about on monday, how it would track up off the coast and move to the northeast. our next system is a cold front that will move to the southeast and we'll be kicking this mess out of here. tomorrow it will be a return to sunshine. once we get into the afternoon, the winds are going to pick up and roar from the northwest maybe up to 35 miles per hour at times. you look at the map and nobody is that cold. it's 36 in kansas city. this time of year, you can easily see temperatures in the teens and 20s. we're not seeing that. but there is colder air up in canada that will make its way to the south next week. by the end of next week, we'll take aim at it. in the meantime, temperatures will start to warm up. really no big bone chilling cold over the next several days. the clouds clear out. the rain moves out. tomorrow morning we're greeted by sunshine. make sure you have your sunglasses. you won't need rain gear for

lunchtime, upper 40s. then tomorrow night, we should see temperatures dip into the 20s to low 30s. a colder night ahead for tomorrow night. low to mid-30s with clearing skies. 34 in rauly. 30 in box borough -- roxboro. the winds not all that bad by 8:00 a.m. they will increase. by lunchtime they're from the northwest 15 to 25. mostly sunny and 48. that wind will make the 48 feel colder and then during the afternoon, mid-40s to mid-50s. we'll call it partly to mostly sunny. 52 from roxy mountain. there's your 7-day forecast. weekend looks good. 50s on saturday after morning low of 28. that's the coldest morning. check that out. wednesday morning maybe a low of 60. that will be really, really mild. so one, two, three, four, five dry days, comfortable days. you get that rain on wednesday and we're back to weather reality on wednesday. >> i like that weather real. >> i that's where we should be
