a french police official says five people were arrested outside the city of leon with plans to stage attacks on night spots and leave for syria. some of those arrested were on the radar of french intelligence for extremist views. the plot was broke broken up and came up three months after the deadly attacks in paris. 130 people died in the attacks at a concert and a restaurant and bar. attorneys for bill cosby go to court to try the get a sexual assault case thrown out of criminal court. their star witness is a former prosecutor. out of dozens of accusations, cosby is facing criminal charges in one case. he claims his admission in a civil case that he gave drugs the women before having sex with them cannot be used against him in a criminal trial. he claims his lawyer made a deal with prosecutors. one of those prosecutors is set

year. terror suspect in jail, western north carolina, facing both state and federal charges including murder. fbi arrested sullivan last june. yesterday, federal authorities unsealed a 7 count indictment that details the plan to support isis by carrying out attacks in the us. shows sullivan planned to buy a rifle and ammunition as part of a plot to kill hundreds at bar last summer and accused of trying to have his parents killed and killing the neighbor in morganton in 2014. a shooting northgate has shoppers on edge, saturday night. the incident started as an altercation inside the mall that spilled in to the parking lots. the victim was taken to the hospital, she is expecting to make a full recovery. shoppers told us this incident reaffirms their fears of visiting the mall at night. >> i don'ts come at night.

i don't know if he will see his shadow or not. we will move on and look at what is going on here this morning in durham, we got low clouds that are showing up, low clouds across the good portion of the area this morning. those are likely to stick there is some possibility that a lot of those will break as we get in to the late morning and midday hours, we might end up with sunshine, that's the lower chance than the idea that we stay cloudy today. mainly cloudy skies at the airport, 50 degrees, northeast wind 10 miles per hour. pressure at 30.15-inches and head up, as we look at town by town temperatures, 46 in rocksboro, 47 in south hill, most of us are in the 50s, 50 in rocky mount. 54 goldsboro, 56 fayetteville and southern pines 55. a cold front south across the area, during the night, we can make that out on satellite and radar, ahead of the front yesterday, last evening, we had sprinkles and showers over

carolina, the most rain fell across the northeast coastal plain with a 10th or two of an inch. most of us a trace to couple of hundreds of an inch. this morning, as you can see, bend e front, the dull gray color, indicating the low clouds that indicates close to the surface, couple of thousand feet up, above those low clouds, dry air, there is question marks today, as to whether that dry air above the lower clouds managed to mix down in to those and cause the clouds to break up a little bit, or if the low clouds hang on and stay overcast for the most part. if they do, temperatures stay in the 50s to 60s. if they break up, adding 3-4 more degrees. the boundary down to the south in next couple of hours, behind it, we got a northeast wind flow setting in, turning easterly through the course of the day, to the west, a cold front with low pressure and a strong upper level low, that's going to be moving northeast, this cold front will be moving eastward towards north

ahead of it today, maybe areas of severe weather from western kentucky, down to the gulf coast, in a cooler, stable air mass today. tomorrow, we will turn more unstable again, there is enhanced risk where you see the orange from western kentucky to parts of western alabama and eastern mississippi, could see damaging wind gusts, large hail and possibly a few tornados there. not as intense of a system by the time it reaches us tomorrow. a look at future cast, we will have a fair amount of cloud cover around the day, low clouds, the model giving hints of thin spots from the triangle area east and southeast. the clouds fill back in overnight. tomorrow, as we head through the day and the next front approaches, increasing chance of showers west to east during the morning to midday, those moving through during the midday and afternoon, couple of intense thunderstorms mixed in as well. a 10- 20% chance of rain today, up to 80% tomorrow.
