water on the camera lens and water on the roads. we have more rain along and east of the i-95 right now. but some will push in the triangle on and off today. and the further thorough and west you go, the wetter it will be today because we have the stalled front. 63 in durham and holly sprinkles. and very warm again. 65 in roxboro and this is as warm as our temperatures will be. so we start mild and have a gradual drop in temperatures instead of seeing them climb. so lunchtime, 55 and 50 as you head home from work and school. and we'll have the rain showers with us on and off all day. and tomorrow will be brighter and that will be settled into a more winter-like weather pattern.

western part of viewing area. coming in, a saw a little fog out there. some of it we'll be watching. and we're not anticipating any big problems with dense fog or anything like that this morning. but the index indicates that the further west you go, the better chance you'll see some of that fog and in parts of chatum, something you want to keep in mind. and you'll see all the rain to the east of triangle along and east of i-95 and wet roads this morning. so allow extra time, especially in places like goldsboro and clinton and parts of fayetteville. you see that we have an accident in rocky mount, the westbound side of 64, a lean is blocked -- a lane it blocked on the i-95 interchange. they're cleaning that up. and in the triangle proper, we're looking good.

growing concerns of the zika virus. governor scott declared a health emergency in four counties after nine of the cases of the mosquito born virus was detected in the state. and health officials are still evaluating the first known case of the virus transmitted into the u.s. slow sexual contact. and groups will speak out changes to the state health plan. the board of trustees is expected to vote tomorrow on whether to raise the deductibles and premiums for the statehouse plan for 2017. it covers more than 690,000 employees, teachers and retire re. union representatives will hold a news conference in raleigh at 9:30 a.m. the state ott ott selected the -- the state d.o.t. selected its prefer route in wake county. it is known the orange route. but this corridor has run afoul

florida facing child abuse charges after disturbing cell phone video surfaces. i want to warn you that the video could be considered disturbing to watch. so there's a warning. another employee at the daycare turned the video over to to the authorities. it shows kimberly reed hitting a four-year-old child with what appears to be stuffed animals and then seen lifting and dropping the child. reed told the police that she was only playing with the child. but the investigators not buying her account. the child was not seriously rt and the days care is closed temporarily as the investigation moves forward. a california driver is recovering after a business cigar crash that landed -- bizarre crash that landed his car on top of a house. the driver had a medical problem while driving along the winding road. his car sailed off the road and on to the roof of a house down the hill. the homeowner said that she

time for this caffeine. let's take a look at what you'll run into as you head out the door. we have rain out there from last night. but we don't have a lot of it falling in the triangle area at the moment. we'll see the rain spreading cross the area and starting to see a little more of that right now and a little of this in roxboro and we'll see more of this spreading cross the area as we head through the morning. so it will be wet and we'll have showers on and off through the day. and temperatures are warm this morning. 62 in wake forest and 63 in holly springs and 64 in roxboro and 64 in goldsboro and clinton. this will be the warmest that it will be all day. we'll be in the upper 50s and mid-50s at noon and 50 at 4:00 and we'll see the showers on and off.

to an inch of rain like we saw yesterday. a lot of rain coming our way and tomorrow it becomes brighter. but we have cold air coming in too. and we'll talk more about that in a few minutes. and brian is taking a look at the roads that are a little wet and a little foggy. that's right. and we're seeing some of the light rain and shower activity and it is showing up on our traffic cameras on garner. that is a common sight over the area, especially south and east of raleigh. we're seeing some significant rainfall along the i-95 corridor. and wet roads in fayetteville this morning. and we'll take a look at those cameras in about 15 minutes. on this map, green means wet roads. and you see heavy rainfall and likely some ponding of water. and the mustard color on the western side of the triangle that is where we're likely seeing a little fog this morning.

panther creek high school hacking investigation is out on bond and in the custody of his parents. the police said that saivamsi hanumanthu hacked into the school's database and changed about 90 grades. investigators said that the database has been hacked several times. the zika virus is resulting in some changes with some airlines. the countdown is on. waiting and won entering if someone will present the winning ticket for a $63

live reports from california. you can watch super bowl 50 right here on wral. and now with your weathering to, it is our super bowl girl in the mornings, elizabeth gardner. the dual doppler 5,000 show what is going on right now. you'll see this on and off today. it will be the opposite of yesterday. yesterday we were dry and ended up wet and we'll be wet today and see the showers' moving off the coast as we get into the evening. and the temperatures will be the opposite too. we'll zoom around and talk about the patchy light rain from holly springs to garner and zebulon and bond and over to wilson and elm city and fremont and princeton. we head southward. and it will lighten up a little bit in fayetteville with rain in clinton and war saw. so a little wet in places this morning, especially along and

that is where we'll have the best chance of seeing any rain for this morning. so just be on the lookout for the showers across the region again. it will be a wet day for us this is the radar pick. and you can see what is going on out there in fayetteville and goldsboro. this is a look at our skycam. we'll be in the low to mid-60s. the high yesterday was 72. by the time we get to this afternoon, we're looking at 50. so we'll see the temperatures drop as much as 15 degrees through the day from where we're siting right now.

patchy fog and a half mile visibility. and it is showing some potential for fog in chatum up in person county and the visibility dropped in fayetteville to two and a half miles. and no real problems out there. but expect low cloud cover as we get through the day. and here's a look at the rainfall. this is along the front that came through yesterday that brought us the heavy rain and the thunderstorms. it stalled here today. and it will continue to spread the rain back into our viewing area as we get through the day. here's 8:00. you can see the heavier rain along and east of i-95 and some rain here and we'll see it coming and going in wave across the region, especially later today by mid- to late afternoon. we'll have a good wave coming in. the further west you are, the lesser chance that we'll have of the rain. if you happened to catch the glitch blue there, some places very briefly, it may end as snow showers.

any issues for you tonight or tomorrow. but 58 mid-morning and then drop into the 40s. and 49 for friday and we'll get into the weekend, it will be chilly and back to winter-like conditions and wake up saturday morning to 28 degrees. and that will be cold for all of the folks that will be running the krispy creme challenge. so bundle up if you'll be out early. 11:00, 41. and it will be a nice, bright day on saturday. and you're probably getting ready for your super bowl party and sunday. and we're so excited to host of the super bowl 50 here. but 73 kickoff for super bowl 50 in california that is a look at your whether to go. a heads up if you're heading out to work or school right now, especially south of the trial.

take a look at fayetteville. it is raining and there's some standing water in some of the intersections. not seeing the problems in the triangle. but we're looking at wet -- especially in wake county. on the western side of the triangle, a chance of a little bit of fog. some of the visibility readings especially if roxboro are starting to come down a little bit. that is something that we'll be watching as our local weather continues on fox 50. in nash county, we have one lane of i-95 blocked. keep that in mind as you head back to the triangle area.
