the boy known as cash died at the hospital. fayetteville police released video hoping to find a repeat robbery suspect. the latest crime happened 3:00 yesterday morning at the kangaroo on owen drive. a man in a black hooded jacket and a mask told the clerk he had a gun and robbed the store. they believe he robbed the same store february 1st, if you know anything about the crime, call fayetteville police. a fire at a historic home in tarboro was an accident. the edgecombe tribune put voidio of the smoke on the facebook page. it was shot sunday while crews were shot at the barracks. the house was for sale, no one was there at the time, there is smoke and structural damage, the home is not a loss. hillsborough wants help as it works to acquire a historic property. leaders voted to start eminent

they are taking bids to help them with predevelopment services such as recruiting private investors. they want to turn the inn in to a museum or educational center. lawmakers are considering changes for state university, one of four schools being considered for a big cut in tuition. under the proposal, tuition at the four schools would drop to $500 a year for in state students, 2500 for out of state students. it's a historically black university. they are worried the plan would change the composition of the student bodies and there is talk of changing the school's name to unc fayetteville, or elizabeth city state, winston state or pin brook. grammies showcased more than just music.

person county, seeing in to orange county. you are about, in the middle of that heavy band in chapel hill, it's moved east of pitsboro, in the next 15-20 minutes, notice the rain for morrisville, apex, holly springs, we head south, it's aiming for fayetteville, expect to see that and willmington, 15 or 20 minutes. keep it here, we will be following this, some strong gusty winds, a wind gust ahead of this to 42, 43 miles per hour. this band has a history of producing 47 miles per hour winds. we had gusts like that with this band. we may have small limbs down, that sort of thing. 40-45 miles per hour gusts possibly. trees down, sips it's been wet lately. another look at the radar, see this band pushing in to the areas everybody is seeing rain at the moment.

heavy rain in roxboro and no, your honor part of durham, of willington, crossing, moved east of fayetteville, moving quickly, moving in to sampson county, benson, four oaks, expect to see this in 20 minutes, across raleigh, in 5 or 10 minutes, continuing to trek eastward across the viewing area, producing rain and winds with it as well. a look at the radar, we start this off at 2:00 this morning, you can see, rain rolling in here, the heavy band and more of it back to the west, wind is not as strong behind that initial line, we continue to have heavy rain, going to cause problems for visibility and accidents on the roads this morning. the airport, 59, winds south at 14, that's lower than it was last time we checked. in dew point 55. we have 30s to the west, we had a dramatic drop in temperatures

temperatures are ranging from low to mid 50s in the north, 60, 61 for goldsboro, clinton and the temperatures are 30 degrees warmer than yesterday. winds are steady erwin to 22, steady 21, southeast. gusting 25 raleigh tings winds die down a little bit at the airport. we are gusting to almost 50 degrees, or 50 miles per hour in fayetteville, we will hear about power outages there as well. here is the big picture, low pressure system, cold front, warm front, the system with the warm air, moving eastward and we clear out for this afternoon. tonight we have another disturbance that rolls through. a chance of showers, and after that, the weather gets quiet. lunchtime, nice clearing, it will be blustery through the afternoon. the rain tonight, it will be rain, temperatures will drop in to the mid to upper 30s.
